As I remember from summer of 1988 all the way to the early years of DVDs in the 2000s. Even when started having a DVD player. Their price for Chinese movies was only a 1.00 and English movies 2.00. One side of the store was the Chinese movies and TV series(Cantonese & Mandarin), and the other side English/Hollywood movies. Their price was just way better then any other mom and pop VHS rental stores and the big names. You never need to deposit something. But always had to remember your member number when you rented. Now a days Tams still own two hair cut places and house and kitchenware store. The husband and wife knew us well. Since we rented a lot. Even on the street they say hi to us.

Neat and clean space with an organized layout. The two ladies working today were very nice; when I called to ask for a specific book and when I arrived to purchase it. There is a few benches around the entrance and there are restaurants, a bar and a coffee shop a few steps away so folks can get reading in their preferred environment. Can't say enough nice things about this local book store and I will be back as soon as I am done with my current read. Special thanks to the girls working today that made me feel welcomed.

Fun selection of greeting cards, small selection of tote bags, stickers and other fun things (mugs, bookmarks, etc.) Prices seemed normal (so maybe a little higher than Amazon, etc.) for an independent book store but probably comparable to a large bookstore chain.

GameStop has some seriously scummy business practices. I made a preorder for an item and paid in…read morefull upfront. Never got a call or notification that it was ready for pickup. After waiting 2 weeks, I finally called the store myself and was told they had sold out, but they'd let me know if they got a restock. The very next week they called and suddenly said they had it in stock, but I had to come pick it up that same day or they wouldn't hold it for me anymore. After rushing to the store, they then told me I still had a balance due because the price of the item had increased by 33%. How does that make any sense? If a customer already prepaid in full during the preorder, the agreed price should be locked in. Raising the price at pickup after taking someone's money weeks earlier is ridiculous and feels extremely dishonest. Between the lack of communication, selling out my preorder, and then trying to charge me more afterward, this was one of the worst retail experiences I've had. Would not recommend preordering anything from GameStop, especially TCG as the prices are pretty much market price and not MSRP compared to other retailers

I reached out to this seller for a request for a few pictures about a first edition book he is…read moreselling. Although he gave a description, he didn't post any photos, so I asked for him to send photos (see attached email exchange). This is a reasonable request because, as someone who purchases books regularly, I find the descriptions of "fine," "very good," "good," etc. are used quite differently by different sellers. (By way of example, I sent a similar request to another seller yesterday and received two photos immediately, leading me to purchase a $200 book.) I received a dismissive response stating descriptions are accurate. And if I choose not believe what he says, then I should buy elsewhere. I responded that I would. And I suggest that is what everyone else does too. Relying on a first edition bookseller who refuses to provide pictures of his book to prospective sellers is a bad idea. You will probably end up with something he calls "Fine" quality, but may not match what you expect. Spend your money elsewhere.

We rented a few games from Video Amusement for an offsite Corporate Event. The drivers arrived on…read moretime and had the games set up in no time. They were efficient. The games were durable and held up for the event. Even though we were stalled on booking our games (due to the Venue needed to help with the layout), Luiza was still openly optimistic about helping us and in the end we got all the games we wanted. We opted for Ring Toss, Giant Checkers and Clowning Around (Bean Bag Target type of game - see photo). Except for the Giant Checkers, the prices are fairly reasonable. Please note that someone else may think that the price was reasonable...it's all subjective. Here's What I Think.... They have a ton of games from which to choose. If you're in the market for arcade/carnival type games, please give them a try.
