After this third attempt I will be finding a different dry cleaner that will take note of what I need. We are new to the area since being displaced by Hurricane Harvey. Now I'm a Yelper to my soul and usually use Yelp to fact check when doing business with a new merchant. Learned an expensive lesson and didn't do that this time. I did some old fashion reasoning and thought if I drove a bit away from Post Oak I would get better pricing. Big Mistake. I dropped off our dry cleaning, which had 21 items. In Cypress my dry cleaning bill is usually $25-$35 dollars for this many items, depending on how many are mine vs how many are my wife's. They have no prices listed and did not give me my total at drop off. When I picked them up the lady casually said $133.82. What??! For what??! Did you all scan my body and altar them for me??! I disputed the amount and she gave me the owner's phone number. I told him to please drive up here and tell me to my face that I owe them $133 for 21 items. He declined that offer. After some not so friendly negotiating we settled on 1/2 the price. I regrettably paid $66 to this criminal shake down joint. I have used Esteem Cleaners on San Felipe for many years. A few years ago the former owner ruined a silk top. I was given credit to use and he was very apologetic. Within the last year, ownership of this business has changed. I took a brand new dress that had been worn once, picked it up and put it in my closet. As I was putting it on to wear again, I noticed the same kind of stain that had occurred on my silk top. It was dry cleaning fluid that left a lighter stain. I took it back in, with their dry cleaning tag attached. They needed it to be left to work on the stain. When I went back, the stain was still there. I asked to speak with the manager. He came out and argued with me and was beyond rude. I can't believe he spoke to me the way he did. Needless to say, he will not do anything to solve the issue. I told him I will not be going back. He told me that was fine. The man who works the register apologized for the manager's rude attitude. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Do not waste your time or your hard-earned money! This place is a complete and utter rip off. Clothes came back not completely cleaned and one linen jacket had to be sent back for a re-do. The pocket flaps were not ironed flat and had creases where no creases should have been. All that from THE MOST expensive dry cleaner I have ever sent clothes to (I spent 10 years having clothes dry cleaned in New York City, where everything is over inflated). I should also note that the woman behind the counter, presumably the owner's wife or daughter, as it is a family owned business, inspected the re-do jacket as if I had worn it and was trying to pull one over on her the morning after picking the jacket up the first time. This place is definitely a rip off with overpriced laundry. Just a simple men's shirt is $7.50. They don't post their prices. You are their mercy on what the want to charge. Sometimes, the clothes come back smelling like a carpet refresher. Disgusting and as much as you try to same it stinks, they don't get it. They take care of your clothes very well, and no nasty dry- cleaning smell in your clothes. Horrible experience!! I drive by this place all the time and decided to give it a shot. I dropped off a comforter and my normal weekly dry cleaning.Note: I spend about $ 45.00 a week on average.These guys charged me over $120.00 for the same amount.When I commented on the OUTRAGEOUS amount I was stunned to see the female attendant shrug her shoulders and smile.All the while holding her hand out to take my payment. Besides being completely overcharged the quality of work was terrible. Slacks with broken creases, shirts that were wrinkled.DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
