The service department has the worst customer service you can find. They never fix a problem the first time and lie about what they check. They said they checked the valve stem and they didn't. They found it when I had to come back again because the problem wasn't solved. I came to replace a flat tire and have been here 5 times and on the 2nd time they found another issue with a different tire.. but didn't find it the first time. They are just trying to get the job done quickly and don't care about the result. I don't trust them. If I can avoid it I will never be back! read more

We had a check engine light on our Chevrolet Equinox, so we called up for an appointment. They asked us some questions to determine if it was an emergency and once it was decided it was not we had an appointment a couple days later. Drop off was easy. An hour later they called to say they had diagnosed the problem, a bad cam sensor, and would have it fixed in an hour. 45 minutes later they called and said it was fixed. Unbelievable how this place operates! Went in here to buy a guy for our daughters. Sales Person was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. Explained we saw their advertising on their website for Cruze's. She attempted to get us the discounts they advertised and got a run around about this. We went through the usual negotiation rigors and they tried to sell us a car that was not part of the advertising special. When we asked about this she was "not aware " of any specials. Ended up calling another salesman over who verified that in fact it was the wrong "stock #". Once we verified this, they told us it would be a different car altogether for the special pricing. Once we FINALLY came to terms on a deal, we waited for financing guy to call us in and finish things up. Met with finance manager who tried to pull the bait and switch and get us on a higher interest rate. My wife caught this and questioned why when we signed off on a lower rate and lower price on the vehicle. The finance manager had no idea and brought the salesperson back and she all of a sudden had amnesia!!BS Needless to say, we did not buy at this location. Service dept can't get your vehicle done in a timely manner, even when you have an appointment in the morning. Had a tire go flat on my vehicle. Had the tire hazards warranty on the tire. The tire was simply sitting in the back of my truck and the spare was on. I called yesterday and asked if I could just drop off the tire and they said I needed an appointment. Set an appointment for 10:30am, which was today, because I wasn't allowed to just drop off a tire, give them my info, and pick it up the next day. Yesterday they even asked for all my info for the warranty and asked what the make, model, and size of my tires. Then they transferred me to make an appointment. Why would I do this if they don't even have the tire ready for me in the morning??? When I called yesterday it was around 9am so it's not like I called when they were closing. Anyway, I show up this morning at 10:30am. They get all the information all over again and asked to leave the flat tire. They said come back. Go figure that the tire isn't ready until almost 6pm and they can't put it on the truck. Now I don't have time to deal with it for a week. I scheduled my problem so that they can have the parts ready to work when I showed up, otherwise why ask my tire size the day before? This place needs to get their act together. I used to own a BMW 328i and I had the extended warranty there as well. That BMW dealership worked like clockwork when I had an issue. As many others have said, do not buy a used car here. We came looking for a specific car we saw advertised online. Took a test drive, started the paperwork, and they came back with a price $3000 higher than what was listed on their website. Told us the price online must have been an error but then did come back with the price they had advertised. The finance guy was incompetent, messed up many forms, I had to correct several things as we went. The monthly payment he came back with was massively higher than what they had quoted me earlier with my credit score. I am in the process of refinancing and my bank says they don't understand how I ended up with such a high interest loan. This was my first time buying a car, I should have done more research, so lesson learned. We bought the vehicle on a rainy day, turns out it had many scratches on the car that were hard to see in the rain. It has also had many mechanical problems that a reputable dealer would have caught and fixed before selling this vehicle. We really loved the look of the car and how it drove but I wish we had kept looking and bought something similar elsewhere. read more

I traded in my 2014 Corvette for a new 2017 Z06. After I returned home from the dealership I realized I left some personal items in the car. I called the dealer and spoke to the owner Pat. He said he would go out to the car and check for me. He called back and said there was nothing in the car, but that the car got detailed by an outsourced company and he would find out who did the work and get back to me. 3 weeks later I still hadn't heard anything. I called yesterday and was told that the car was not detailed by and outsourced company and my personal property was not found. They said they would not take responsibility for the loss of my items. I will now take my brand new Z06 Corvette somewhere else for service. First they told me they knew who detailed my car. Then they told me the car hadn't been detailed. The owner lied to me. If you want a Chevy or used car do not ever go to Estero Bay Chevrolet. One of the worst dealerships I have ever gone to. When I got to the dealership I went to look at a used Tahoe, a salesman approached me when I walked in, and asked if I needed help, I said yes. We proceeded outside to find the car but came to find out it went to auction , he said they keep cars even though they know they have issues just to try to sell them but after 90 days then they auction it . I noticed right away a Ford Expedition that he reported just came in that morning. He got the key we test drove it and I liked it . He talked a lot about his divorce from his wife which I found to be highly inappropriate. So after the test drive I asked how much, he came back at 15,000 I said ok let's go make a deal, I was already pre approved through an outside company, so we went inside we negotiated tax tag and title all for 15,200 which seemed great. Then after getting paper work for them, my license , got a deposit, the works . I couldn't take it that day because it had to run through the service shop first , which the salesman came to tell me all they do is check everything and if it's 50% or higher they don't mess with it, no oil change no new tires , NOTHING . 2 days later when I was excited to go get the car they told me they were not going to take the finance company I provided , which was going to pay them for the car . I said why , and they made up a story how they don't pay the dealer fees or something. They never tried to help, I even reached out to the sales man and he answered but was very short, said couldn't take that company, and I'm sure you can't pay 600 a month for this cause of your credit , I was very upset. They did not offer any solutions. A week later I looked to see if the car was available and it was $13,900 discounted very low. If you look at there on going ratings they speak for themselves , 3 stars and should be one. read more

Between the technician, Ben, lying about the repairs being done, incompetent Bob, the service manager, backing up his lies even though I showed him time & date stamped pictures of the error messages on my dashboard moments after leaving his shop, & the obnoxious owner, Pat Denson, who tried to do battle with me for 20 minutes before acquiescing to my request for a refund, this whole experience was a disaster. Pat had the audacity to issue an ultimatum, saying he would refund my money but I could never bring my truck back there. HA! Then: scheduled oil change appointment taking almost 3 hours to get done. Try booking appointment, thats hard to accomplish, you get transferred around on the phone due to nobody knowing the extension of the service department. Then when you ask to speak to the manger he is not available, so you get another manager under the GM and he tells you 2 times during the call that the owner is standing right beside him, the owner doesn't ask even one time to speak to me with my concerns about poop service to get your new vehicle scheduled for first oil change. I am not one for writing reviews or complaining but I had a situation that was just burning me for the past couple of days. While on vacation in Bonita Springs, Fl, I had an issue with my 2007 Chevy Avalanche related to the vehicle no starting. After calling AAA and verifying it was not the battery I had no choice but to tow the vehicle to the nearest dealer (Estero Bay Chevrolet). I was treated by a professional Service Advisor: Ben Monnett and my review really has nothing to do with the service I was provided by Ben. I thought Ben treated me professionally and again I want to stress this has nothing to do with him or the service I was provided while at the dealer but more with the pricing, let me explain. It turned out that the issue I had with the truck was related to a faulty starter relay that needed to be replaced. The part cost was $17.78. However, my total bill was almost $200 including taxes ($198.32 to be exact). When going over the bill I was charged for a disposal fee of $11.81(That is almost as much as the part itself). Out of the total bill, $157.50 was for labor. Now I know everyone has to make a living but to be honest I have to say that this is a bit excessive. I drove over an hour with financing in place, we called to verify that the type of financing we had was excepted, nice young lady on the phone verified with the supervisor on staff, and it was all a go. We get there test drive vehicle we came for and when it came time for financing, they insisted we try their route, when we declined they then informed us they didnt except our third party financing. A total waste of time. And 0 interest in selling cars. read more

As a seasonal Estero, FL Resident, I had my oil changed and tires rotated on my 1 year old Chevy Tahoe at Bay Chevrolet before I was to drive back to home in Chicago. 90 minutes for an oil change and tire rotation is bad enough but the fact that they can't communicate is even worse. Not only do they not communicate, they damaged my vehicle while in their possession. Deny, deny, deny! I am meticulous about my vehicle. I know my car as I wash it 3 times a week myself and wipe my wheels and tires down 5 times a week. When I picked up my car, I did not notice the damage. When I drove home and came out 3 hours later my driver rear tire was flat. Upon my observation, there was a gash in the side wall of my new 22" Michelin Defender tire and huge gashes in my $500.00 rims. If my tires were rotated, the mechanic could never have missed these gashes in my wheel. No notes were made by the mechanic which leaves me to believe there was none and the destruction occurred when the porter took the car outside. The tire cost me $275.00 and now that I am home I ordered a new rim for just under $500.00. All I got was deny, deny, deny. Then when I had them get me a new tire, they said they would have tire by 10:00 and they will jump through hoops to get it done so we can leave town. I called at 11:15, after waiting 14 minutes, 47 seconds, a service person answered and assured me the car was next in the shop. I called again at 1:00, 13 minutes on hold, same story. I called again at 3:00, another 15 minutes on hold, same story. Finally I said I am coming to get my car. When I arrived at 3:15, Bob the Service Manager told me the car was in the rack, just give him a few more minutes. Finally at 4:40 they had my tire on my car and charged me $300.00 for the tire. Next time I will take the risk and change my oil when I get home. Liars and Deniers, That's Estero Bay Chevrolet. Stay away from this service center. I would never trust them. Ironic how I never got a Customer Satisfaction request on my service from Chevrolet. Just makes me appreciate the guys at Martin Chevrolet in Crystal Lake, IL a whole lot more. Took my 2016 Camaro to get inspected because it was making a rattling sound every time I accelerate after only having 20k miles on it. Estero Bay had it for 2 days and said they "tightened everything up and they couldn't here the sound it was making". After I leave 5 mins later my car is making the same sounds again. I take my car to Victory Lane Chevrolet and they tell me my whole exhaust system is broke and put a new one on for me under warranty. Long story short, the mechanics at Estero Bay do not care to fix your issue they just want to get you out of there thinking everything is okay. If you live in the area of lee country I would highly recommend Victory Lane Chevrolet! The mechanics will work hard to fix the issue, not just try to get you out. read more

My experience with Estero Bay Chevrolet starts about 6 months ago when I purchased a used Chevy SS 2015 from them. That experience went fine although the price I got was just ok. They told me the car was already being held verbally by someone else but told me that since I was there they would sell the car to me instead. Selfishly, I didn't care much but it should have been a sign that they don't care much about their customers. Two weeks ago, I called Marcus who I worked with there and let him know I would like to get a price on a Spark for my business. I told him we will probably buy two but definetly one. He told me they could make a great deal on a 2015 and would do a dealer trade. Price was $12,700. Quite a discount. I didn't bother shopping them elsewhere and have a deposit on the car over the phone. I had the sales person also email me the VIN on the car and the agreed sale price. Upon arrival to the dealership, I signed a few papers and then Marcus went over the price again. Except the price was now 13,600. I mentioned to Marcus that the price was higher than agreed and he seemed surprised by this. Whether genuine or not, I'm unsure. Regardless, I showed him the email and he took it to Pat, the store's GM who was sitting just around the corner. Marcus informed me that they had made a mistake and the price was the $13,600. I told them this was a "bait and switch" and I would not be buying the car from them if they couldn't sell at the agreed price. Marcus went back to Pat and he came back to inform me that they had paid $250 just to get the car from me and this was my car. The best they could do was reduce the cost another $260. I informed them that I would not be doing this and out of principle they should sell me the car at the agreed price. They would not. Worse, was that Pat never left his desk 5 feet away from me to explain the situation. Instead he left Marcus to do all of the explaining. I am a business owner. We all make mistakes; I understand that. BUT this went beyond that and little effort was made to mitigate the issue. I normally don't take the time to write negative reviews but this situation was "special" enough to do so. In the end, I purchased a vehicle from another local dealership and again agreed on a price over the phone. They accidentally forgot the windows had been tinted and that the car had wheel locks that they didn't include in my price... Guess what? They still honored the agreed price regardless. It's not hard to offer good customer service but my experience at Estero Bay Chevrolet would seem to suggest otherwise. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I'm just going to start from the beginning. So I had leased a car from Richard almost 3 years ago, I thought I would purchase a vehicle before my lease was up. I found a car that I liked and took it for a test drive. After running it down the street, we pulled up to the dealership and popped the hood. There was a small amount of smoke coming from the engine so I had their mechanic come out and look at it. He said it was engine cleaner and ASSURED me that the vehicle was in tip top shape. I went inside with Richard and hashed out all of the details and I had the car the next day. After driving the car for about a week or so the smoke was not going away and was also worsening. There was also oil leaking on my driveway, so I knew there was something wrong. I scheduled an appointment to bring it back in and have it looked at again. They took a deeper look and noticed that the valve covers were leaking. I asked them to fix it. keep in mind I had purchased a 3 YEAR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. They told me I would have to wait a month to have it fixed because the warranty took a month to kick in. I asked for a rental car because I was already over my miles on my lease and I DID NOT want to keep driving around my lease which I would end up paying a lot of money for being over the mileage. They told me that they were out of rental vehicles? I just don't understand how a dealership runs out of rental cars? THE PLACE IS FILLED WITH CARS. Anyways, I did not argue with them. Even though I just bought a $26,000 car. I waited a month to bring my car back in and have them fix it only to have them tell me that they can not fix it because its under factory warranty at ford. SO WHY DID YOU MAKE ME WAIT A MONTH TO BRING IT TO YOU? when I could have just taken it to ford right off the bat. Miscommunication and not knowing what they are doing at its finest. I told them to take it to ford and have it fixed. They told me I would have to wait an additional week for an appointment at ford. After the week went by ford was finally able to fix the car. I went in to pick it up and was told that the smoke was not coming from the valve covers but from the alternator that was literally melting. I guess ESTERO BAY CHEVY missed that? They contacted one of the service guys Ritchie that was handling my case and told them what was going on and Ritchie just threw my warranty information at them and basically told them to deal with it. Which I thought was very unprofessional. So now I am in this limbo with both dealerships. Ritchie told me he gave them all of my information and that they were fixing the alternator. I decided to call up Coconut Ford the next day to see what was going on. I spoke with Brian and he told me that they haven't even heard from Ritchie at estero bay Chevrolet. So then I had to call Ritchie back and ask him what was going on. He told me that he left a message but he will call them back again. If I hadn't called was my car just going to sit there? So Ritchie calls brian back and gives him my warranty information. Brian then tells me that its going to be ANOTHER WEEK before he can get it in to be worked on. At this point I'm furious. Why is Estero Bay Chevrolet trying to basically dump my case off on Coconut Ford when I bought the car from Chevy. Ritchie already had all of my information. I was very upset so I called Kevin one of the service managers at Estero bay. He assured me that everything would be taken care of. They had the car towed back to chevy after days of me harassing them. After the car gets back to chevy Ritchie tells me it will be ready for pick up on Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around and he then tells me that they need to order a new alternator from California. The part wont come in until Thursday and that I would need to wait. AGAIN Thursday rolls around which is TODAY. Ritchie says the part came in damaged so I need to wait even longer. I am currently still driving around my lease. Racking up miles. I have not been compensated at all for any of this. Just excuse after excuse. Still waiting to his day to get my car back..... I am definitely never returning to this dealership to purchase anything. Let alone a chevy dealership if this is how they handle their customer service. I know I am ranting, but I cant just let this go overlooked. Corporate really needs to go in there and fix this place. Oh and just to add one more thing. Richard Day has not contacted me once. I guess he just made his money and isn't worried about it. read more

I took my camaro in for an oil change and to have my convertible top looked at because of an issue. They completed the oil change but stated they do not work on convertible tops there even though it was a chevy. They referred me out to Florisun for the estimate on the top. Florisun kept my car for five days then when I decided not to take them up on their high quote, I took my car back to discover they never put the parts back together they had removed to look at it. When I called back to find out why, I was told: "Why would I put the parts back together when you will just have to take them back off to fix it". I called Estero Bay back to discuss with them the service I received from the company they referred me to and was told they take no responsibility for third party shops and basically told me oh well. My sister purchased a new car from this dealer. While back north a rat nested in the air intake for the A/C. Took the car totem as they would now the system. They showed no urgency to look at it, and when the did find the problem, they were in no hurry to fix it. To eliminate the odors, most dealers have an outside contractor, which I mentioned to them. They did not communicate with us, the service guy was hard to reach and seemed cutoff that I made inquiries. In total they did not give the excellent service that was touted on the tape I had to listen to while waiting for a service update. When they finally released the vehicle it was only about two thirds relieved of the horrible smell that was the problem. Giving them a one star rating is too generous, I would never use this dealer again. read more

I live right down the street from this dealership and we are a GM family so buying a car at this place would be ideal. I have attempted on three different occasions to buy a car from them and could not do it. The last attempt was they send out a flyer telling me what they would give me as a trade for my car and the discount they would give me on a new one. Long story short they did not give me the discount on the flyer nor did they give me the trade in on my car as they said they would. Lots of excuses, small print etc. they even challenged me to try to get it cheaper at another dealer. So I went to Rick Hendricks and they not only gave me more money for my trade ( 1300 dollars more) and they also gave me a larger discount on the new car and that was with no negotiating. So in the end there was about a 2500 difference on the exact same car and exact same sticker price. Guess i will not be buying a car from Estero Bay Chevy in the near future. read more

I would urge anyone to not shop at this location. I wanted to inquire about the purchase of a vehicle and wanted to get a trade in quote. Avi wanted my "pay off" amount. I explained to Avi that the amount I owe has nothing to do with the value of my vehicle and just wanted to get a dollar figure. They refused to give me a quote and completely ignored me because I didn't give them my "pay off" amount. Avi is completely unprofessional and I would encourage anyone to shop at a different location. Amazing place to go if you are looking to get a great deal on a new car! Hector was an amazing and patient salesperson. He helped answer all of my questions and if he wasn't sure would make sure he found out for me! He spent extra time helping me look over my new car and working with me. James was able to get me a deal I could not refuse and I am absolutely in love with my new Equinox! I would not choose another dealership. Unlike other dealerships I visited they were not overly aggressive or pushy and took their time to explain everything and get the best deal!
