I called the corporate office back east. The gentleman was amazing. He really offered exemplary customer service. Their shipping company picked up a delivery for me from a Home Depot purchase of a sofa. That's where the exemplary service ended. I didn't know my sofa had been delivered until I read my email telling me so. The delivery crew didn't ring my doorbell, knock on my door or get my signature for the delivery. My sofa was delivered on a pallet at the front of my driveway. Im 65 years old and my neighbors all work. I have dollies, but I had to get the sofa on the dollies and to my front door and through the door on its side and then into the house. I had to get it into my living room, tear off the packaging, find the legs, install the legs and position it in the room. The sofa is over 200 lbs. I'm 130 lbs and by no means muscular. Took me an hour and I was greased up from head to toe from the dirty packaging. I hope this isn't the level of service Estes provides normally. If it is, Home Depot needs to reconsider using them in the future. read more

Ordered a 16 ft oak handrail through Home Depot from Evermark, a Company in Atlanta which manufactures stair parts. Estes was supposed to deliver this "oversized" item on Saturday, January, 25. Estes gave me a 7 hour (!!!!!) window and I waited for 5 hours until their truck arrived. The driver came out from the truck with a yellow piece of plastic trash instead, approximately 10 inches big. This piece was dirty and scratched like as if a car had run over it. Definitely not a 16 ft long wooden handrail. Nobody at Estes was available to answer questions. Home Depot wasn't helpful either and hung up on me. read more

Beware of this company! They lie. Let me tell you my story, I had a furniture item being shipped from Idaho through Estes, they called me to pick a delivery day and made it clear someone has to be home to receive the item. We agreed on this past Monday, I took the day off work and waited and waited and waited. Finally I got a call at 3:30 PM that the driver had an emergency and would not be able to make the delivery and they gave me 2 additional options which are Monday through Friday 8-5, no smaller windows. When I let the agent know that I can't miss more work to wait and need a smaller window she confirmed she could do it for Wednesday before noon. Took another morning off work... Called and left 3 voicemails before noon to get an update, never heard anything back. Was able to reach someone via chat who sent an escalated email "where I would get an immediate response" - never got an email back - even after 2 more follow-ups. Went back on chat and they gave me the Phoenix terminal number to call. Now it's 2:30 PM - received confirmation the item would be here before 5 PM. At 4:45 I call back and they informed me the was "too big" for delivery. When I questioned how it was out for delivery twice before and it was picked up so the size was known the line went silent. It makes no sense to me. I called the company I bought the item from and they reached out to Estes. They escaped the delivery to come today in morning. The truck finally arrived and the driver couldn't figure out how to get the item off the truck. He said he was going to leave. The item is a full size bed with shelves. I don't understand the struggle. When I told him he can't leave because I need the item, he opened the box and handed me all the pieces. All 750 lbs I took off the truck and walked to my front door alone hand by hand. (I'm a mid-30's female BTW). He stood in the truck and watched me. After about 25 loads back and forth I was done. He then told me that he needed to get the pallet of his truck (which he couldn't before) because it's my responsibility to dispose of. In shock I showed him where the dumpsters in my condo development are and quickly realized it wouldn't fit in without being broken down. Which he has no tools to break it down. He finally was able to get approval to keep the pallet, but was not happy. This company is incredibly unprofessional and flat out lies to its customers. The worst shipping company. Lost my delivery and delivered a broken 86 inch TV. These clowns just left the pallet in the driveway and didn't even notify me it was delivered. This company is absolutely unreliable and unprofessional. My supplier in CA chose to use them to deliver products to my residential business. They took 6 days to call to set up an appointment for delivery. On the day of delivery, They never showed, did not call, text, or email. Since it was a weekend, they were completely unreachable. I did leave an email stating that the delivery had not been received. On Sunday I received an email stating that I would be contacted to set up another appointment for delivery. On Monday afternoon, I received notification that the shipment was out for delivery and I would need to be present to sign for it. It also stated that an appointment had been set. I had NEVER been contacted. I called several times and finally got through, only to be left on hold while the person on the other end "checked on an ETA." After being left on hold for 15 minutes, she hung up without returning. I wonder if I will ever receive my products..... read more

stes Express subcontracted our delivery to Reliant Deliveries LLC, Phoenix, AZ. Reliant Deliveries is a fly-by-night outfit, operating out of the home of the owner!! This alone should have given Estes pause. But no, our delivery was made today, 5 days early, without notice! 1. We received NO notification the delivery was coming today; 2. The delivery driver LIED to us stating he didn't have a phone number to call us (????!!!!); 3. Had we not heard the truck, we would have never known it was there; 4. We watched the delivery driver remove a large palleted box from the truck; 5. The delivery driver dropped it in front of our garage and was beginning to walk away, when my husband ran out there & told the driver it needed to be delivered to the front and INSIDE; 6. The delivery driver stated, "We just drop. We don't deliver inside." (????!!!) Soooooo...since we live on a corner, MY HUSBAND WHEELED IT with a hand cart all the way around the house to the front door and INSIDE with NO help from Mr. Delivery Driver, who just stood there (pictured)!!! Are you kidding me Estes???????????? Estes subcontracted to THIS company??????! We spent over $1200.00 on this vanity and the driver was going to drop it and run?????!!!! We are appalled and disturbed by this treatment!!! (And, I might add, we purchased a vanity prior to this and THAT delivery driver brought it to the front door and HELPED bring it into the house.) Emails are never answered. When calling be prepare for over an hour waiting and hearing same excuse that my package was misplaced and I should receive it shortly. I ordered Counter Tops from Home Depot and they use Estes Express for their shipping needs. I was contacted by Estes on Monday July 27th to schedule a delivery time. They were to deliver on Wednesday July 29th between noon and 5 pm. July 29th came and went and there was no delivery and no contact made be Estes. I called July 30th at 8:00 am to get an update and find out what was going on. I was told that it was never loaded into the van and that Kim would at extension 5041 would be giving me a call back. By 3:00 that call never came so I called and was put in touch with a representative who told me they couldn't do anything and just transferred me to Kims voicemail. I contacted Home Depot and they reached out to Estes and that was when productive contact was made. We spoke with Michelle and were told that the order was going to be placed on the "Hot Sheet" and our shipment would be made a priority for Today (July 31st). I was informed that the shipment would arrive between noon and 5:00 and I would receive a call 30 minutes prior to shipment arrival and if there was an issue with the delivery I would still receive a call. No call was ever received. The order never arrived. I called Estes to get an update and spoke to Michelle again and was informed that the order was lost! When I spoke to her "manager" Rachel Hicks she informed me that they were starting a search for the shipment, but that it would stretch into next week before we would receive our shipment. As of right now Kim has never gotten back to me and I am still waiting to hear back from a supervisor named Gene Sweeney. A lot of voicemails, no answers. read more

This is the absolute worst shipping company that I've ever had the unfortunate of having to deal with. My husband and I bought a patio set from Lowe's on March 13th. They didn't have it in stock at the location we were at, but there was one about 30 min away at another location and we were advised to purchase it online from that store and have it delivered to our home. So, we did. Our item was shipped on the 17th and we were supposed to get it on the 24th. So, when the 25th rolls around and we have no furniture, we start making calls - both to Estes AND Lowe's. Nobody knows where our furniture is. Nobody can give us a date to expect delivery. We can't track it through the Estes website. We keep being told to wait UP TO 14 MORE DAYS FOR DELIVERY! Are you kidding me? How has this crappy company stayed in business for so long? Absolutely unbelievable! If I could give less than zero stars, I would. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Estes sucks! If you can avoid uding them, do so - like the plague! I had to give them one start- I would give them NOTHING!! So I had no choice with this company. I ordered a vanity from Home Depot and this is the company that they used for the delivery. Well, I should say - when they find my 72 inch bathroom vanity which is located somewhere in their Phoenix warehouse. I was called for a delivery on March 5th between 10am - 3Pm. We arranged our schedules to accommodate the delivery. No one showed up or called to let us know that they were not coming. I had to call corporate on Monday to see what happened. The person I spoke with said that it showed that my vanity should have been delivered on Friday. I said yes I know!! She was not able to get in touch with anyone at the Phoenix facility. She gave me the number to the wareshouse. I called and I was told that they had to wait for the guys in the yard. I asked what exactly that meant for me? She said they would call me back. They never did. I called Home Depot Friday March 12th. They got in touch with Estes and they said that they were not able to locate the vanity, but that it was somewhere in the warehouse. I was told that they needed 24 hours for it to be found and that I would get a follow up call to set up for a delivery on Monday the 15th or Tuesday the 16th. I never got a call. This place is absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! IF you have a choice don't use them and check with Home Depot before you buy something to be shipped. Go to Build.com or Lowes or somewhere else!!! read more

Too bad I cant give this company a zero! We ordered a door on Dec. 4th for store delivery to Home Depot. We had read where others had issues with damage when received and picked up in the store didnt cost extra for shipping. The item was received at the Phoenix terminal of Estes-Express on Dec. 13th. It hasnt moved since then and this is Dec. 24th. I called the Estes-Express Phoenix terminal several times and after being on hold for 30 - 40 minutes at a time, I was told that the item had been placed in the wrong truck - a truck that was for home delivery. They said that they would correct it and get it over to the store that day. Several days later and it still hadnt moved - so I called again, they said they would fix it. Still nothing -- So I called Home Depot customer service and they talked to Estes-Express HQ and was promised it would go out that day. This also failed -- so I called Home Depot again and this time they connected me to the Estes-Express HQ (after almost an hour of hold time) and she ASSURED me it would be rectified and sent to the store that same day. This again failed -- so I called Home Depot once again and cancelled. I reordered the same door, from a competitor and the shipping date is another month out. Home Depot wants $75 for home delivery of this door, while Lowes provides has it at the same price and no charge for home delivery. This was the worst delivery service I have ever dealt with and the poorest customer service I have experienced from Home Depot. read more

This has to be the worst shipping in the entire United States. They will leave you on hold for 30 minutes, and than just drop your call. They will lie about contacting you, and trying to setup a delivery is next to impossible since they don't answer their phones. I do a lot of shipping in and out of my business in Phoenix. Two inbound shipments in a row from Estes have been majorly screwed up. The first were glass bottles which many were broken. The second shipment, I had two pallets of glass bottles also which were broken down into 4 pieces. I received 3 of the 4. They lost the other. I was told that they would be delivered by closing time on a Friday. They never showed. I spent all day trying to get an answer and they've lost them again. The customer service dept. is the worst. Twice the girl I talked to was supposed to call me back and never did. YOU'RE TAKING A BIG RISK USING THIS CRAPPY COMPANY!!! read more

yay, I get to leave the first review and it is going to be the lowest possible that I can. This company sucks worse than any freight carrier that I've ever seen. I work at a business that brings in a lot of freight, and this company consistently loses complete pallets or damages the items with their forklifts. We are currently working with a pallet that they lost, and no exaggeration here, the very first time that I called, I spoke with Kim and she said "I hate when this happens, I always tell the guys they are just moving too fast"! I was then directed to Kathy, who was supposed to be tracking down the pallet. Apparently they have not found it. I spoke with her this past Monday morning, and she told me that she was getting ready to check the dock right now (in spite of the fact that this pallet had been missing a week already). I asked her point blank, are you going to call me back. Yes, she said. I asked her if she had my phone number. Yes, she responded (mind you I know they have our phone number as it isn't the first time we've had problems with them). I have not received that phone call yet. I had called their corporate office to complain about their lack of response, and the only thing that they would do is transfer me back to the local terminal, where I was basically put on hold for so long, I finally gave up. Our shippers decide on what trucking company they use to send the product, so we will be reaching out to them to let them know that we will not order product from them if they choose to use estes. read more
