My partner and I used Camelback Moving in the summer for a very short distance move to a second floor location. We were able to transport most of our fragile belongings on our own, but we needed help with bigger items like furniture and heavier boxes. I appreciated the team's communication with me before the move so they and I know what to prepare. Something I did enjoy was that their rates are very transparent whereas with other companies you have to call for a quote. Perhaps we could have found cheaper services elsewhere, but we preferred the convenience. Following advice, we opted for 3 movers, so one can work on wrapping the furniture in protective wrap while the others moved boxes and ready to move furniture. They were able to finish the job in under 2 hours so that we didn't have to pay the additional time rates. We had a few smaller issues with how some items were moved. Despite a couch being wrapped in protective wrap, it was scraped across the floor and now the fabric is damaged. We were also told prior that we could keep the complementary wardrobe boxes for our clothing, but then were told by the head mover that we needed to return them. We had to dump all of our clothes out onto our bed, so that they could get the box back. Finally, I wasn't aware of this, but they were supposed to also offer rolled carpet service to protect the flooring in our new place. They didn't do this, but thankfully the flooring was not damaged with the items being moved in. I only found out after we received a follow up call from the company to make sure everything was done correctly. It makes me wonder if the carpet would have helped with all of the dirt being tracked in from their shoes :') Overall, I found Camelback Moving pretty easy to work with. I was glad my partner and I opted to move fragile and precious items separately. I appreciate too that they worked with us for our heavy furniture in the heat. I would recommend them if you need help moving bigger items that are not precious. read more

Absolutely awful experience. Camelback Moving Company is every homeowner's nightmare disguised as a "professional" service. They were hired to handle our belongings during a water mitigation project, and from start to finish, it was a complete disaster. They took everything out of our home during a flood - much of it unnecessarily, and when it was time to bring it back, they didn't follow through on a single promise. Boxes were mislabeled or not labeled at all, items were dumped haphazardly in the garage and random rooms, and nothing was put back where it belonged -- exactly the opposite of what they guaranteed. The manager, Kris, gave me endless reassurances that everything would be handled carefully, that he took photos, that our home would be restored "just like before." That turned out to be complete nonsense. I'm left with a mountain of unmarked boxes, damaged furniture, and zero accountability from the company. This is a careless, disorganized, and completely unprofessional. They make big promises to win your trust and then vanish when it's time to take responsibility. Do yourself a huge favor -- stay far away from this company. If you value your belongings, your sanity, or your time, don't let them anywhere near your home. read more

Once again, Camelback has been a HUGE help & by far the best moving service in the business. This move was not nearly as simple as my last few rounds, but they managed to maneuver it not just efficiently, but with great attitudes & honestly I would have invited them to stay longer just to relax because the crew was so pleasant! I really didn't have to lift a finger- they were on top of everything from start to finish. Booking was very easy & I'm tickled it could be scheduled for a Sunday! Courtesy call an hour ahead with an ETA. They didn't need "supervision", but absolutely took care to ask questions on anything. The job was not only efficient, but gentle to make sure nothing was compromised. The most impressive part was a very unstable bookshelf- I flat out told them it likely wouldn't hold up for the move & I didn't want them responsible but he insisted on one of those "hold my beer" moments... omg it worked!!! Which, we were jokingly making bets on. In fact, I had a great time with the entire crew, it honestly felt like hanging out with friends. Each of the 3 were very friendly, funny & great personalities. More impressive was them laying out the "red carpet" (literally) to ensure the flooring was not damaged. My property was treated with the upmost care & they were very patient with me maneuvering my cat & several other belongings that were delicate in nature. Also, they were extremely respectful of neighbors in not blocking their entry/exit while keeping noise down to a minimum. There are a few things they legally could not haul (butane, chef torch, etc.) but kindly packed in a box for me to maneuver. The entire job was completed in four hours flat. A short 15 minute break was not charged- the overall total was VERY much reasonable. Lesser than expected, actually. Yes, they do charge for materials, but it's for good reason & also very reasonable when you're already getting a good rate (along with working on a Sunday!). The initial deposit is deducted from the total, and they make sure to have you inspect everything before signing off. It's a lot to ask someone else to come tackle your personal matters, but I always get the best results with this company, which is why I keep booking every time I move. I still highly recommend & will continue using Camelback for any & every moving job necessary. Their high ratings & awards are for very good reason. read more

They called to confirm my move date/time, showed up on time, and overall got the job done well! I'm glad when I booked it the person on the phone, Nate?, recommended 3 movers instead of two. Although he was waaay off predicting the time it would take to move, it certainly would have taken longer with only 2 movers. Javier, Jason, & Jeff did a good job! I couldn't give 5 stars because 1 of our solar lights were damaged at the new house and although I was notified, it didn't feel ok that it was damaged and I was told "you can use some super glue or go buy another one at Home Depot "....I mean duh ofcourse I can go buy another one but YOU BROKE IT!
