I have had my fair share of Colombian food so my expectations were pretty high when I came here but based on the reviews I feel like my expectations are justified. The restaurant was decent on the inside they were playing good music but the place was empty and the seating was a bit crowded.The staff weren't the friendliest and we had little interaction with them outside of ordering. The food - like previously mentioned was decent to say the least, nothing special or worth going back to have. I got the burger with the Hawaiian sauce in it and my husband got an arepa with shredded beef. Both lacked flavor. They also charge you a fee for using your credit card. I have had this place bookmarked for years and stayed away because I saw a negative review years ago. I suggested here because I was in the mood for a hot dog, even though I always get the Hawaiian burger when dining at Columbian restaurants. First off, we could not find the place. It is in the strip mall behind Metro Diner, tucked all the way in the corner, next to Dollar General. After driving around the empty parking lot the second time, we found it. We walked in and were greeted right away. We were given the choice to sit wherever we wanted. The first table was the worst wobbly table ever so we switched. The menu was in Spanish and English. The staff though, they struggled speaking English. I am not fluent in Spanish but I can understand speak the basic stuff. It was still really difficult communication wise. I ordered the Hawaiian burger and hubby ordered the Cuban panini. They do not serve alcohol so being the diabetic, I only had the choice of Diet Pepsi or water. I prefer Pepsi products over Coke any day so it's not so bad. It took a long time for our food to come out and there was only 1 other table than us. I am a sauce whore (as my caption states) and love the sauces at these kind of places. Unfortunately, the sauces here did not have as much flavor as other places and it was not as thick. I took my first bite and was in bliss! The meat was great. There was a lot of melted cheese. There was a lot of bacon. However, I would skip the lettuce because there was way too much and it makes it soggy. Also, I think it needed more potato chips. Hubby thought his sandwich was okay but not amazing. He works with a lot of Cubans so he has good Cuban food a lot at work. Like other Columbian restaurants, they take forever to bring the check. We just got up and went to the counter to pay. So cheap! We came here looking for arepas and left super satisfied! I'm giving the resturant 5 starts because the food and overall ambiance was awesome. We were treated were excellent service and kindness while enjoying our meal. We order an empanada, two hot dogs and two arepas! I don't remember the names but honestly I don't think you can go wrong with any of them! This place had a stage so I'm assuming they have live music at some point. I used to love this place. Unfortunately they have raised prices significantly, added a credit card fee and reduced the portion of their food. An example is their Picada, it used to be around $20 and was delicious with plenty of meat, now they raised the price to $30 for a small and $40 for a large (plus credit card fee) the portion of meat has been significantly reduced while the price has gone up. I must say I was very impressed with this restaurant. Tucked away in a strip mall near University and Pines Blvd, it's unassuming exterior doesn't let you know what you're about to experience. This chickita doesn't speak much Spanish. I know the basics, niceties and such and I definitely know what Perros Calientes means! I tried the house dog, grilled onions, bacon, ham, cheese and those wonderful crushed potato chips that make it a true Colombian dog. Lots of sauces, my favorites were the pineapple and the garlicky one. Big dog with a sturdy bun that held its own against the many toppings. Came with a side of fries that we shared, the side order perfect size for sharing. The bf had the Super Arepa, it is. For sure. Super duper! I'm not an expert on arepas but this one was packed to the gills, chicken, beef and pork with a lovely chicharron surprise mixed in there. The arepa itself was crispy and light and delicious. I plan on returning soon, I have to try the empanadas and tostones at some point. All around great (and not expensive) meal with good service in a happy atmosphere. read more

Worst bandeja paisa I've ever had. I had such high hope looking at the pictures, but unfortunately my food was terrible. Everything on my plate my over done except the sausage. The palomilla was cardboard and had a green looking mold spot. The sweet plantains were also overcooked and the beans were watery. I don't know what happened but this was terrible. Super dope little hole in the wall. My boyfriend is Colombian and loved their logo and wanted to try them out. The place was empty but looked super clean. The lady who served us was so nice. We ordered 2 perros de la casa and they were AMAZINGGGGG. Also had the beef empanadas. They had Spanish Mexican music playing in the background, and I really enjoyed that. You could literally put their sauces on anything and it would taste amazing. As you can see, I am a fat ass and had to pair my delicious lunch with a cup of limonada. Update from a couple incidents a couple years ago and an incident on 1/2/2020: I had paid a certain amount a couple years ago with my debit card and noticed a few days later that it was more than what was on my receipt. Thankfully I kept it and was able to show as proof that I was charged more. A separate time I paid with cash and the cashier gave me less than what I was supposed to get. Both of these incidents were rectified immediately which is why I didn't update my review back then. On 1/2/2020 my coworker and I order from their website and she gets the confirmation that the food will be ready for pickup by 12:40. I'm at their door by 12:48 and the door is locked. Their door says they open at 11. Google maps says they open at 11. THEIR OWN WEBSITE SAYS THEY OPEN AT 11. I tried calling 3 separate times and no answer. I can hear the phone ringing inside. My coworker calls later and was told they open at 1. She hands the phone to me because I'm more fluent in Spanish and whoever I was speaking to didn't understand that my coworker had ordered on their own website directly. The girl on the phone kept asking me in annoyed Spanish "ok but what APP did you ORDER from? I need to know so I can do the refund." I was so close to hanging up and driving back to their place to yell at her in her face but instead I repeated myself and she said asked her coworker "people can order from our website???" I was so furiously annoyed. Turns out their website option to place an order is run by a 3rd party and Mucho Perro couldn't do the refund directly. My coworker had to contact the 3rd party to get her money back. If there really was a change in management, they suck mucho balls and it's the reason why I changed my original 5 star to a 1 star. Mucho Perro used to be great and I'll leave my original review below to show the grand contrast several years ago. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Glad I live 10 minutes away. No matter what you choose from the menu, you will be full and satisfied and might have food for the next meal. If you're a foodie and haven't checked this place out, do so! Burger patties are tasteless, probably FROZEN. The arepas are big but they lack flavor. The Texas melt sandwich's meat is tough and hard to bite, hearty portion but again tasteless.
