Super arepa is a super disappointment. There's nothing like Venezuelan gas station food and sadly, this one was a bit of a let down. Not only was the cashier super unhelpful and not the friendliest, the food was prepared sadly in the most disrespectful way to prepare Venezuelan food. The cachapa dough tasted like it came out of an instant pancake mix and the queso rallado on top is nothing like it's supposed to be. The arepa was a full blown confusion and super incoherent. This restaurant is located in a gas station but taste soo good. I ordered a cheese chapa with meat inside and it was delicious. Jose and Ruby were the associates that took care of me and they were sweet and informative about the menu. She recommend me to try their tequenos and their sweet drink called Chicha. I love this place! Definitely a hidden gas station gem. Have been here a few times but did take out today. I ordered the Pabellon Super Arepa and my sister got the Patacon with beef. The Pabellon is always my go-to, it's not pretty when wrapped up to go but it's delicious! The meat is well seasoned and flavorful and the portions are huge. I recommend topping anything you get with a heavy dose of the green sauce. Only cons are service is pretty slow, took probably 25+ minutes to get my order with no line, and it's slightly too expensive for the portion size to feel like truly a good deal but I ultimately always want to come back! We took it to go but the little seating area inside is nice and clean and does not give any dirty gas station vibes so it's all very nice! Great for an easy lunch or dinner. read more

Stopped by bc we were craving arepas and we were told these were the best. The prices seem a little up there but for what you get it's definitely worth it. One arepas is more than enough to fill you up. It is well seasoned and good quality meat. The green sauce is the best and I really wish they would've given us some more of it. Went on a late night run and was looking who was open at 11pm and not many places were open... at least not what I wanted to eat. Found this place on Yelp, saw their menu and decided to place an order here. Not going to lie, this was one of the best decisions when it comes to late night run foods. Ordered: Two Meat Arepa Grilled chicken and steak topped with pico de gallo and grated cheese. An entire plate of Venezuelan heaven. This is a full meal, so be prepared. Good portion size everything was falling out.  I loved that you can actually taste the seasoning and the smoked flavors of it being grilled meats. The service is great and fast. Visiting the pines area last night and craving some yummy Venezuelan food after hours, I guess, because most other spots closed after 9 pm. Stumbled upon Super Arepa on our Yelp search. It took us a minute to find the location because it's actually located inside the Chevron gas station. Upon arriving it was empty... Do not let this hold you back from walking in, placing your order, and grabbing a chair to eat... the staff was friendly and the food arrived quickly, much to our satisfaction, as it was late and I had my 9 month old with me. Now to the good part, THE FOOD!!! Being an avid Venezuelan cuisine foodie.... This place does not disappoint on QUANTITY AND QUALITY... We ordered a steak pepito, tequeños, an arepa Cabimera with steak, a Coke, and a Malta to match... All I can say is THANK GOD for this place!!!! All of the items we selected were delicious and of top notch quality for the establishment, much better than dare I say it (Doggis Arepas) there, I said it!!!! In a society where every day we are steering away from quality this place surpasses that! The tequeños are huge (not the size of my pinky) that look like mini cheese curds at some joints. The pepito was fresh, the meat inside full of flavor with just the right amount of sauce (you can always add extra sauce, if you like). The arepa was also HUGE and full of fresh toppings and lots of cheese! We live in Sunrise and there is no Venezuelan restaurants in this area just yet. I can't imagine how many people they steal from daily! This is my first time writing this type of review. I like the food but a few people have warned me about how they stopped going because they over charge and change prices on you. It has finally happened to me and no matter how good the food is I won't support somewhere that tries to rob customers. Issue #1: The person at the register rang up my order and told me my total was $14.11. When she flipped over the screen I was about to sign and noticed she added 20% tip to the bill. I thought it was an error and selected no tip then signed. While I stood there waiting for my order I wanted to see if it was truly an error. I noticed she did the same thing to the other 3 orders after me and unfortunately they did not notice. Can you imagine how many people they STEAL from daily? I say steal, because that's what is being done! They mention NOTHING about the additional charge and hope you won't notice as you sign. Issue #2: On another visit the Coffee price was listed as $2.49 and I was charged $3.99 + tax for a large (12oz) cup of coffee! With so many latin cafe's in the area this ridiculous! It's a bird, it's a plane... no... it's Super Arepa! The word "Super" doesn't just describe the taste of their food but the size of their food. This restaurant is hidden inside of a Chevron Gas Station with a pretty large dining area for a gas station restaurant. It even has the menus displayed on four wall mounted flat screen TVs. It's pretty convenient since you can get gas, then have the Car Wash guys wash your car while you eat inside. We decided to get our food to go because we had a bunch of running around to do. I got a Super Patacon with Mixed Meats (Black Angus and Chicken with Pico De Gallo) and one Green Plantain and on Sweet Plantain for each side of the Patacon. Just in case you're not familiar with a Patacon, it is pretty much a sandwich, however instead of two slices of bread you have a plantain on each side. My wife got the Super Arepa with Chicken and Cheese. Each was $7.99 and delicious. We were both stuffed and my wife didn't even finish her's because she was too full. They asked me if I wanted everything in the arepa and I said yes because I wanted the full flavor. Though I'm not too sure what's in it still, there was strong garlic and cilantro flavor! Also, the arepa was huge! I had to eat some of the filling before actually biting into the arepa! Loved it!! The staff were nice for the most part. Only thing was that they seem to hold a lot of side conversations with each other and make the wait longer than it has to be. They have a seating area if you just want to take your time to enjoy. So one day we went here and got a patacon with mixed meat (choice off chicken, pork or beef). The super arepas and the cachapas are really good too! Even though this is a small eatery they have a great variety of food. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and they also have great choices for dessert. The portions are large definitely great for sharing. The price is very good its approximately about $7-8, and its only $1 more for a combo of fries and a small drink. We frequent this little hole in the wall when cravings hit late at night! I think its so great because there is not a lot of food places open late in the area. This place is a go to for me! The food is decent, but the ladies in the front are the worst. The last three times I called in my order they were rude, talked over me, or they left me on hold just to get hung up on. I would call again, and again would be put on hold then hung up on. On Sunday I wanted an Cachapa so I called but kept getting the busy signal. I parked and got off took a stroll inside and there was this mini restaurant on the left hand side. Lady was polite while taking the order. The meat they used inside the arepa was chopped not pulled which i like better. The arepa was stuft real well with meat. The arepa meat was flavorful but it was warm / cold could have been hotter. The cliantro mayo sauce gives it that extra taste. Don't get the fries they are cold , unseasoned and stale. The next day i had a stomach ache all day and most of the following day. :( read more

I ordered the super combo #1 which came with a grilled meats arepa, papas fritas, and a drink for only $7.99 + tax. I believe the arepa by itself was 5.99 or 6.99.. can't remember but definitely one of those two prices. The arepa was absolutely massive. I only could finish half and took the rest to eat later (YES LEFTOVERS, NOM NOM NOM). The arepa shell was crispy and thin, so perfect the crazy amount of meat and cheese they serve you with. The sauces were so on point, especially the green and pink sauce. I'd definitely come back here again. TIP: remember you are in SoFlo. If you can speak spanish, ordering can be easier. I called upon arriving. The lady picked up and told me they opened 24 hours on a Saturday night. I was calling to make sure their Covid hours hasn't changed. So as I arrived, I ordered two chicken burritos and a side of French fries. When we got home, I was soooooo disappointed. Keep in mind my drive home was less than 5 minutes.
