He is friendly and truly cares about the health of the patient. Britney the hygienist is great and friendly, she explained everything that was going on with my cleaning. What I liked the most is that they don't haggle you for additional work that is not needed. They prioritize and show you what is priority on getting done sooner than later. They even provide blankets if you get cold and sunglasses to wear so you don't get blinded by the lights, when they are working on you. During my 2nd visit for my cavities Dr. Chen was super patient and gentle during my procedure. My husband also enjoyed his dental cleaning. They did x rays, then the…read moredental hygienist told me that I had severe plaque build up in my back teeth and I needed a scaling procedure done. I waited another 10 mins for the dentist, and he told me the same thing. I go to the dentist on a regular basis and have never been told this by another dentist. I told him I only wanted a cleaning today and I would schedule the scaling for another time. He sent the office manager in to talk to me. The office manager tells me that it's going to cost $700 for the scaling procedure. I repeated that I don't want to do the procedure today and just wanted the cleaning I was scheduled for. At this point I have been there for an hour. The office manager told me the dentist was only available for the scaling and there wasn't a dental hygienist available for a cleaning for another hour and a half. I was very upset because I was there for a cleaning, so why wouldn't there be a dental hygienist available to clean my teeth? They made me schedule another appointment just to have my teeth cleaned and continued pressuring me about the scaling. I was there for over an hour and they didn't even clean my teeth. This was a total scam and I won't be coming back.

I was looking forward to the addition of a female dentist, so I decided to try Dr. Paige. During the first procedure she did on me, I was bothered by her constant chatter to the dental assistant, while she was working on me. It felt like I was just another person she was working on, and she wasn't really focused on the procedure she was doing, or me as her patient. I am used to my previous dentist being focused on me, talking to me, and checking in frequently to see if I was doing ok. When I went back for a filling on a tooth, she prepped the tooth by drilling the cavity out and cleaning it, chatting the whole time with the person assisting her, then went off to work on another patient, and told me the other lady would be filling the tooth with some material. Later on, Dr. Page came back and checked the filling material the other lady put in the tooth and smoothed it with the drill and then sent me on my way. Her style of lack of interacting with the patient, chatting with the person assisting her the entire time she was working on me both times, and her not completing a procedure entirely from beginning to end- like filling my tooth, was a huge surprise- all leaving me feeling very unsettled, and untrusting of her, I won't return to have her do any other work on me.
