I've been coming to Estilo since I was probably 13 or 14 (2003/2004) and I love how personal it is with the owners Maria and Sylvia, every time I come they know my family they know where I work. I don't feel like a customer but a family friend visiting my tia! Haha Anyways I wanted to share that I have extremely long and heavy thick wavy hair....HATED IT!!! And about 3 years ago Maria had offered me to start using Keratin treatment. She had mentioned it was on the pricy side but worth it...and she was absolutely right! I decided to try it after several times she had mentioned it to me and ever since then I've never been off keratin. In the beginning it lasts about 2 months but the more u do it the more your hair adapts to it. It started to get to 3 months and now it's at 4 months. By the 4th month it starts to feel like my old hair and so I go back to get it done and it feels GREAT! ! most concerns people have....1) does it damage your hair....NO! lol its a treatment so if anything it makes my hair healthier, I've gotten tons of compliments that my hair looks and feels amazing and they always ask what shampoo I use but I tell them it's Keratin not shampoo lol I use only sulfate free shampoo to keep my treatment lasting longer. if u want to make it last even longer...use sulfate free conditioner too. don't wash your hair every day it's not good for your hair. the most I go is probably 2 days. that's why my hair lasts up to 4 months (: plus I've been getting it for 3 years now. 2) But you can't curl your hair anymore then. ....WRONG. I curl my hair all the time still and if anything it looks even more amazing because 1. it doesn't take me an hour and a half to do my hair. it used to take that long! and as soon as I sweat from dancing or heat exposure my hair would frizz up BAD. now I don't have that problem. to straighten my hair takes 20 to 30 mins now. and curling doesn't look frizzy it looks natural. best part too is I don't even really need hairspray!!! I put just like a lil lil bit but sometimes I even forget to put it on and my hair does just fine without it it's awesome!! I have been trying to come to this salon for a while now, but didn't get around to it till today. I called last week n made appt for today. My first impression when I walked in was very positive. I was greeted by Sylvia with a handshake n a smile. The salon is impeccable well maintained. I wasn't sure what to do with my hair. I have ombre style n wanted lighter. She explained my hair too bleached n over-processed for that. So she ended up adding highlights here n there to brighten my look. I wasn't sure how to cut my hair either n she helped me decide to go with a long A line boblike. I am very happy overall. The appt time was pretty much kept. I didn't have to wait long. The processing time was average. The price was reasonable n competitive. I will definitely be coming back when my roots grow out. read more

Sylvia is freakn amazing!!!! I wandered in here after a trip to my bank and was satisfied completely. Maria greeted me at the door while Sylvia cut my hair. For a wash, trim and style I only paid $45 (not including tip, and my hair is like mid length I would say). Sylvia listened to all my problems and was actually interested. She is truly amazing at what she does. She kept my length while cutting off my nasty bleach burnt ends! Maria then blow dried and styled my hair beautifully. I don't get my hair cut but once every few years. Not sure if it is laziness or just scared to commit to a style. I finally decided that I wanted to start going shorter and just get something that will make me look younger. I went into this salon and looked around. I had a friend from High School that was working there and I had seen some of her work on facebook and decided to put my hair in her hands. Litterally! It is a very casual atmosphere. No uniforms, no champagne served to you while you wait... No huge prices. This is not your "cookie cutter Vidal Sassoon" salon. What you get is a great hair cut and style. All the other "fluff" you get at other salons you pay for. I love this place. It is comfortable and upbeat. All of the girls are really nice but I had Debbie Tapia cut my hair and I swear she took 10 years off of me! The difference was huge! She did a deep conditioning and cut and blow dry and I was ready to go out for the evening. I went back today for a trim as it had been a couple months and still the same great service. Sylvia is terrific! My wife has thick, long hair that was recently cut by a stylist at a different salon. Unfortunately, that stylist was not able to give her the long layers that she wanted. She visited Sylvia and left totally satisfied with not only the cut, but by the professionalism of Sylvia. Had an appointment today with Deborah. I Went in to try something new. I just felt i needed a change. And a change it was! I am so happy with the color and cut.
