I was told that this type of lip shape was something "only colored women have." At the time I didn't fully process how inappropriate that comment was, but looking back, it was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If the result wasn't suitable for my anatomy or couldn't be achieved safely, that could have been explained without bringing race into the conversation. I don't care how long ago it happened. It was not okay, and I think people should be made aware of the kind of comments that were made during my appointment. Consultations should be based on anatomy, safety, and the client's aesthetic goals. Not racial stereotypes.

I even asked about Botox for my upper lip, and he told me, "You don't need it." That kind of integrity is rare and made me trust him even more. Came in to try out PRP for under my eyes for dark circles and also Botox for my forehead. I'm new…read moreto any kind of med spa treatments so I was initially a bit nervous. My appointment was with Lisa, she did a good job of explaining the procedures and calmed my nerves. The Botox was quick and easy, no down time and no pain. Results were seen within a week and I'm highly satisfied with the results. Next was PRP. It was recommended I do 3 sessions to maximize the results. I was swollen the day after and bruised for about the next 5 days. I later learned I shouldn't have had been drinking the night before as it affects the bruising. So Here's a tip: DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL THE DAY BEFORE. By my second session, I made sure no alcohol the day before and I drank a lot of water to make sure I was hydrated. Lisa also recommended I take arnica pills starting a few days before. This definitely helped A LOT! my skin healed so much quicker, the swelling was less visible and the bruising lasted only a day or two. I followed the same steps for my third session and again it was a quick heal with very little bruising. After each session, I noticed a difference under my eyes. Specifically as to my skin texture and dark circles. The biggest and most noticeable difference was after the third session. Overall I'm very satisfied with my experience! Lisa did a great job of calming my nerves, walking me through the process and being available if I had any questions. The process was painless and the results were awesome! Short Sum: Yea - agree with all the reviews about the disorganization here…read more Pros: - My NP Nicole was really sweet. Cons: - Sometimes the receptionist is nice and sometimes she's not? I had the most challenging time trying to get a prescription refill. The first time I called she made the situation more confusing when I simply just need a specific refill. After she confirmed a refill would be made, it never got to the pharmacy. Had to call again after a week and a half for them to ping my pharmacy. - I changed my insurance and the receptionist told me they didn't cover my insurance (which was even PPO). Because of this, they couldn't do a prescription refill and I had to scramble for a new doctor (which I'm glad I finally got). Weeks later I get a call from the NP about a check up which took me surprise because I thought they didn't cover my insurance? I told the NP this and she went back and checked and found out I was covered! This is so confusing lol. I'm glad I switched because I honestly don't trust my health records here. Anyways, I typically don't like giving bad reviews but doing this so they can see some improvements can be made. Hoping for the best.
