My number one auto shop. Awesome staff and always do good work. These guys are the only ones that ever get my alignment right on with the wheel being perfectly straight, and they show you on paper what specs they changed which should always be the case but sadly is not at some other auto shops. This ZERO's name is Josh Reader... This is who ETD decided would be a good fit as a manager. ETD needs a better evaluation process. I've never had a more snotty/nasty experience/interaction with a manager as I had today with this guy. I came in & explained That I had hit a curb and got a blowout of my back tire.. & that I was looking to see what the cost would be for 2 new tires. Josh asked how my other treads were, I had honestly said.. they are at it's end, & I probably had about a few thousand miles left on them, after going out to look at all the tires... He said I needed all 4 Tires. I replied, Well.. let's see what you can do for me on the price of 4... But It was not in my budget today for 4.. & that I'd have you give me 2 tires instead... his simple NASTY reply was "NO I WON'T" I then said... "Excuse me.. NO you won't?"... He said "Yeah No" & I said.. "then you obv. do not want my business?" His attitude completely turned my already tense feelings from having a blowout.. Worse. If he had handled the situation differently.. I'd probably be telling a different story. He lost a quality customer today. This is not who should be running a ETD tire store, or any store for that matter. Complete unprofessional attitude right out the gate, I was not going to even allow your company to price me out for 4 new tires let alone the 2 I had suggested id be interested in. During this heated exchange of words & how I think he could of handles me "THE CUSTOMER" with kid gloves... I insisted he had a attitude & that He didn't know how deep my pocket were, for 2 or 4 tires. He mentioned what I had already knew of the industry standard & how ETD would be reliable for any Transmission issue It could cause if he did not replace all 4 tires. I inturn told him... I suggested ETD have a waiver In the event I could not pay for 4 new tires today.. Josh couldn't care any less that I a new client to ETD Butler & I was in an emergency situation as my car was on a donut spare currently, he could not even think past but to sell me 4 new tires... I didn't come asking for only 1 new tire. I wanted & was willing to buy 2 new tires of the same brand... if he just kept his quick snotty reply to himself.. I would of listen to him further & we could of come up with a solution for my issue. But... He could not even let it get to that point. I'll NEVER recommend Him or ETD EVER. I will be going out of my way to make sure all avoid ETD in Butler. I will be posting this on all social platforms & review sites to make sure that everyone I know... should avoid at all cost this unfit manager you have running this Butler NJ location. ** PS... I did find a reputable location that was willing to listen to my issue, put my safety first.. & I did work with me in fixing my issue.. with a smile & a positive attitude. I specifically came to this location because they were running a crazy-cheap $5 oil change special. They explained they were trying to spread awareness that they do more automotive work than just tires. The special was completely legit (although my car called for slightly more oil so my bill was $7.25 ). Even with the crowd (I'm assuming) the promotion drew, my car was done in less than an hour! They had a few minor and reasonable recommendations for follow-up service (one, the replacement of a wiper blade) -- but didn't look to upsell or gouge. The facility was clean, the staff friendly and professional and although this was my first visit it was clear they had lots of repeat business evidenced by how many people they either greeted by name or were already in their computer system. To top it off they put out a huge breakfast/snack buffet to welcome new customers -- change from my $10 and free chocolate chip cookies!!! So, as many of you also endured the awesome commute last Thursday evening, November 15, 2018, because of the snow, I hope you didn't get lucky like I did and run over a nail, whilst in the snow, just past the Meadowlands*, on Route 3, not knowing how much longer the commute would be, not knowing how much longer your tire would hold air.. So, long story short, I made it home in just short of 6 hours from Newark to Pequannock. Yay. Yea, yay is right. After stopping for air twice, my tire held up to get me home safe at 20 PSI.... Whew! Fast-forward to the next morning, I went out to shovel and my tire was at 9 PSI.. I first called Mavis Tire on Route 23 in Butler, but whoever answered their phone, wasn't very courteous at all. Not even close to friendly, telling me they were understaffed, I'd have to leave the car overnight, etc.. Which is all understandable - but the delivery wasn't one that made me feel warm and comfortable to have them work on my tire. So, I then worked my way up the highway and called ETD, which is literally 1/4 mile up the highway from Mavis. Scott answered the phone, was VERY courteous. He even told me the same thing as Mavis told me.. They were understaffed, behind, and I may have to leave my car overnight as well. But, and here's why courteous customer service, even over the phone, is required.. The delivery was totally professional, and that made me feel very comfortable. He even asked my name and then it became personal like I was going to be taken care of and I didn't mind at all that I may have to leave my vehicle overnight. So, I arrived at 11am or so, and Billy, (who interestingly looks like Guy Fieri) was the service advisor who assisted me. Told me what it'll cost, what they can and can't do to fix a tire, and said if they can get it done that day, they'd try, but couldn't promise anything. Again, totally professional delivery! So, about 3:30, the phone rang and it was Scott from ETD. My tire was fixed and good to go! So, not only did they get it done on the same day, it was done quickly! They also balanced all 4 tires - which was a nice gesture on their part to make sure all my tires were evenly and safely filled. So, in the end, thank you SO much Scott and Billy. I will recommend you store to anyone who needs tire needs; whether new or to fix a flat. There are a few tire places around this one, but you can roll the dice or come here. Very Professional and highly recommended! *It'll always be the Meadowlands or even Giants Stadium to this guy... Never call it MetLife Stadium. Nope, won't do it... Ever! read more

I got a price for tires online from their website, and they responded once to ask me if I wanted to schedule the installation. I emailed back that I was available on a specific day to do the installation. They never responded. I emailed a second time a few days later. They still haven't responded and it's been over a week. I give up and I'm going elsewhere. read more

I have been to this shop twice previously to get tires mounted and balanced and it has always been a pleasant experience. Today I dropped my truck off for an alignment, and I am happy to say that the service provided is nothing short of fantastic. The alignment tech/mechanic ,Travis, went above and beyond to resolve the death wobble/track bar issues I was having, and the service writers Josh and Frank are friendly and kept me in the loop as to what was up with my truck. DON'T GO HERE! the brakes failed on my mother's car. pedal went to the floor and thank god I was driving. hit the parking brake and was able to baby it there to the shop. manager said the ice melt they put down now corrodes the lines. said that they replaced ALL OF THEM and charged her accordingly. a month later the pedal went to the floor again but the parking brake didn't work either. glad I was going slow. brought it back to them and he said that they didn't replace one of the lines (rt front) because it was under a cover and it didn't seem to be worn (that's the one that failed) and as far as the parking brake went, when they were doing the back brake lines the first time the parking brake connection broke and they just left it like that. and as to my pedigree, I've been an auto tech my entire life. these clowns, through their negligence, could've have caused a fatal accident. Josh and Jim were amazing! At 9:30 on Monday morning, I was headed to work when tire pressure light went off - I had a flat. I was a mile away from ETD - having never been there before - so I stopped in. Jim welcomed me and took my information and made me smile. Josh came out and said hello too. Within a matter of minutes, Jim informed me that they didn't have the tire I needed (I assumed they wouldn't given the type of tire) but that they could get it same day.
