Meticulous cemetery in a great location with knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. We were able to pre-arrange our funeral and select plots. Debbie Layne zipped around the property with us in a golf cart pointing out all of the interesting corners and options available. We were shown a lot to choose from and were given a lot of good advice and helpful information. Dying isn't cheap, but I'm glad we were able to make arrangements that were comfortable for us and should be for our family. read more

I had the Best experience. I called from California 4-5 month ago and spoke to Mark about moving to Florida with my elderly mother. He was very kind and answered all of my questions and advised me to call him as soon as I moved to Florida. Today in the morning I called him again and he made time to meet me the same day. Our family needs were simple - For the unveiling, find the burial site, cover the stone say a few prayers. To my pleasant surprise, a flagpole with flag led us directly to the graveside where the stone was neatly and completely covered with a weather-protection cloth. When removed, the monument was clean and dry. A small thing you may say, but comforting nonetheless, for someone who always "made her bed". I went last Friday, February 24, 2023, to visit a loved one before closing. I noticed 12 of the hand-painted stones I made were gone. I understand if cleaning the floors in the mausoleum floors stones would be moved. I understand a yearly cleaning occurs in January; all stones are removed from the aisles. I spoke with Meghan, who was highly empathetic toward my concern about disappearing stones. It doesn't appear other rocks were disturbed. I returned today, Monday, February 27, 2023, to visit and leave some stones to brighten the mausoleum of my loved one. I walked around the halls hoping to recover the missing rocks, to no avail possibly. I went into the office adjacent to the mausoleum to express my concerns. I found Meghan to be highly empathetic and helpful in taking my information in case of recurring incidents with other visitors occur. It was utterly disgusting how Meghan's Manger or Director kept yelling at her while she was taking my information. It was only to scold her in my presence as the door was open to her office. I could lucidly hear as she reprimanded her. This Manager was so insolent to tell Meghan; We were not liable or responsible for the theft. This woman was anything but professional & sympathetic to a sensitive subject matter. Visitors should always be able to report their concerns in a professional, safe, nurturing, and compassionate environment. I applaud Meghan for remaining calm, concerned, and validating. read more

The grounds don't appear to be kept up. They were much nicer when my father was buried there 15 years ago but my mother could no longer visit his gravesite because the stone path is in disrepair- very narrow and uneven stones - she could no longer walk it. And then when she was buried next to him last year one of her friends almost fell trying to walk the path. In addition, I am waiting a year and, after dozens of emails and unreturned phone calls, still cannot find out when her stone will be laid even though it was paid for many months ago. Their uncaring attitude during these difficult times is unacceptable. I even had a receptionist ask me when the unveiling was going to be. REALLY?! How can I schedule an unveiling when I can't find out when the stone will be ready? read more

A good friend of mine was put to rest recently at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens. The cemetery is very beautiful, but a little confusing to find your way around in. My friend had several other friends who attended a very nice service put on by a Rabbi who was compassionate and friendly. The service was quite informal, just as my friend would have wanted. A few people spoke at the burial, describing the life of my friend very well. The only problem at the cemetery was that many gnats were biting everyone and making us uncomfortable. I was glad that I attended the funeral anyway and I think it was a very nice send-off for a wonderful friend to many. read more

The grounds look good. Some friends and relatives have their loved ones buried here. One year since my wife passed and headstone is not done even though they had 4 months to complete it. Excuses have to do with documents not signed and normal delays. My impression after interacting with management is that it is a business and they really don't care about you. Neil Levine is a super professional. Five years ago we used Neil to help plan our funerals. Thank G-d we are still here. Today we went to make arrangements for our 50 year old son. He is divorced and told us he wants to be where we are. Again we were able to tap on Neil. Neil is a true professional and walked us through this difficult assignment. He is easy to talk to. What a miserable place!!!! The grounds are not well maintained, the staff are aggressive, insensitive, and rude. Don't buy any seating under any tree as it will not be taken care off regularly . They will tell you it's just the natural weather when you ask why you can't sit on your bench when it has been lifted up that you only slide off of it if you try to sit on it. Please take a look around, really well and you will see how little they care about honoring the dead. Each time we have come it's the same problem. We were there for yahrzeit and more and all of us felt so unhappy. We live out of state. Last time we came it was the same problem. The maintenance crew are so disrespectful and can plainly see we were crying but they continued to blast their mowers all around us the entire time. The office staff have no real Jewish souls whether they are Jewish or not. If they did they could never behave so heartlessly. Please take the time and read the reviews and you will see what this place is about. Jewish values are not present here. We can't save the dead here but if we can save one live person from making the mistake we made, we save the world as the saying goes. Zero stars We give but no option. read more

I have been very disappointed. Very aggressive sales approaches at the most vulnerable of times... But the lack of after-care for the grounds is my greatest disappointment. I live in another state, and when I do get to Florida to visit, I have found overgrowth, weeds growing out of the stone, lack of care for the grass, etc. I always point this out and someone in the office writes up a report and promises to follow up... one time someone did, most of the time they do not. We are incredibly disappointed with Eternal Light Memorial Gardens. Our parents paid for perpetual care for their extremely expensive mausoleum with a gate and sitting area where our dad is now. We have been calling and going over to the office for months, begging them to fix the broken and cracking gate, paint the stained walls and ceiling, and pressure clean the floor. Every time it's a promise or an excuse and nothing gets done. This is something a handyman can do in 1 day. Our 98 year old mom has even called begging them to make these repairs and it has become a very stressful experience for her. It seems they don't honor the word "care". I'm not even going to get into the mosquitoes and bugs that make it impossible to sit on the granite benches that were broken last time we were there. We are getting to the point that we want to just bring our own paint and do it ourselves. We just don't understand- Shame read more

We were attacked by swarms of mosquitoes in the mausoleum area during a lengthy memorial. I came home with more than 30 bites! Same mosquitoes that are linked to Zika. You would think they'd do something to control the mosquito population there! There were coming out of the cracks in the wall niche/mausoleum. A fogger would have been a good idea prior to the start of the memorial. Following the memorial, the groundskeepers used duct tape that they cut (with their teeth) and caulk to "seal" the compartment in the wall niche. Very tacky and disrespectful to do that with everyone present, and also the caulk did no good, since the plastic covering they used to close the space was uneven and clearly not the right fit. read more

This cemetery does NOT care about your loved one. They do NOT maintain the graves-weeds-dirt-no sod-until you complain. When you do call it to their attention, they are incredibly condescending and completely unapologetic. Do NOT chose this place. Mr. Judd Kirschner, Director of Family Services, helped us make informed decisions with noteworthy (1) honesty, (2) expertise, and (3) helpfulness. My mom was put to rest at Eternal Light last month in a mausoleum. Our modest funeral and several short eulogies were marred by service personnel's loud noises from very close nearby - it was lawn mowing or maintenance or both. Lots of mosquitoes buzzed about our arms and heads. And though we'd asked that we not be present for her casket being placed in her space in the mausoleum, cemetery personnel swept in as soon as we were through to do exactly that. Really, a lousy way and place to end the commemoration of anyone's life. What was otherwise a very positive ceremony was marred by this combination of events. read more

Our cherished Grand Parents are at Eternal Light: the Grounds are magnificent and are clear evidence of the respect that loved ones receive at this facility. We've been in the process of correcting errors in the Governmental records of my Grand Father, and Mr. Shapiro was kind enough to arrange in July 2014 for a second Memorial Ceremony with a Military Honour Guard -- which was executed perfectly. We were amazed at the specialized service we received, which even included the team at Memorial Gardens expertly installing a recently-received US Governmental Marker. These amendments have been thirteen years in the making, yet ELMG has not betrayed our trust even after so many years have passed. We laid my mother-in-law to rest this week. She was buried next to her beloved husband. It was upsetting and disrespectful to see the headstone removed and tossed off to the side with no thought of dignity or care. The area prepped for the graveside service had a wobbily broken table. The grounds were covered with fake astro turf but it was almost impossible to walk to our seats because no effort had been made to provide a safe path, especially for elderly attendees. The grounds were messy looking, uneven mowing. I also did not like that the grounds keepers were hanging around across the street and didn't even wait until we got in our cars before they started filling in her grave, Just tacky and disrespectful. They need to figure out customer service and grounds maintenance. read more
