I am in constant significant back pain with a herniated disc, and I was referred to Dr. Vermuri to get an epidural injection ASAP. Meeting with Dr. Vermuri went fine and he said to schedule an epidural with his staff. I was told by his staff when checking out that I would hear back from the scheduling person within one to two days. After three days I called to find out when my epidural was scheduled for since I had not heard anything. I was told by someone named Amy that it is typically a week or more before an appointment can even be scheduled, and that they were currently running three weeks out AFTER you were scheduled. When I asked why in the world it takes a week to even get a procedure scheduled, I was told "the only person that schedules epidurals is Heidi, and she can take a week or more to schedule a procedure since she multitasks like the rest of us and has many other duties beside scheduling." So, I am in constant stabbing pain and at the mercy of a single multitasking "when she can get around to it" scheduler to even get on the books. That is one star. Appalling.

I finished the last one yesterday morning and have had zero pain after these strenuous hikes. My longest was 3 miles. I couldn't not have done this without Dr Clegg and his wonderful team. He also gave me pre-surgery exercises and post surgical exercises that are a must for success. I am now on a kneeling program which is going great and plan on paddle boarding by next weekend. I am so very thankful my friend referred me to Dr Clegg. Anyone who complains about their knee pain I tell them of Dr Clegg and what a phenomenal experience I had. I had a partial knee replacement done 7 years ago by another doctor and it popped out of place constantly and I just thought I would have to live with it the rest of my life. Assigned to Dr. Price, his nurse had an unfriendly personality even though I had preregistered online with all the info she was upset I didn't have my medicines list to verify what was in my registration. I said aw man, I forgot to grab the list, but I filled it out online. Well you don't have to get upset with me she said with a firm hostility, I'm not upset at all. Just concerned I won't remember my meds is all. They were in my file the whole time? Then Dr. Price bolted into the room briefly asked what was going on, cut me off while I was talking, told me he didn't see anything on the x-ray to match with the pain I was having. Most doctor's smoothly slowly exam range of motion during the leg exam, NO! He rapidly shoved my legs back as if to play with a young child. Extremely painful, but he had already made his mind up that I wasn't having any issue. I was wearing a skirt he didn't bother covering me up as he flailed my legs around in the air even thought I had asked for covering! I asked did he view the MRI imaging that my other specialist saw issues? Extremely arrogant, dismissive, and disrespectful. Really spoke down to me as if I were crazy and not in extreme pain. As he roughly shoved around on my back during his brief exam I explained I was having a spinal fusion surgery and disc removed in my lower neck, he scoffed as if I didn't need that either. Tried quickly telling him I had severe pain in lower back and possible fusion there as well, but he cut me off again so I wasn't allowed to explain that either. THREE TIMES he shoved where my other damaged disc was that's pinching on the nerves!!! I was gasping for air and instantly sobbing as he told me that's where my hip pain was coming from. AGAIN my spine specialist saw in the MRI and showed me where my hip bone was pushed over rubbing bone on bone in the socket. He left the room, I hobbled over to be sick from the pain HE INDUCED then took my next muscle relaxer. He comes in to see me picking up my leg then dropping it when I walk he cockily asked WHY ARE YOU WALKING LIKE THAT? You need to bend your knee, no wonder you are in pain, AS IF I'm causing this debilitating pain! Like it's my fault? Through my tears I try to explain it hurt moving the joint around, this has been the only way I have been able to survive throughout the day with the pain. He finally admits to seeing what the other two doctor's saw, didn't give me a treatment plan, my options, nothing! Offered a shot in my hip, I'm still trying to collect myself and in shock that a supposed top notch doctor couldn't be so condescending and pompous to his patients, but I now see he has 12 other poor online reviews over the years stating the same exact situation and character. Well done you want the treatment or not?! I really wanted to bolt out of there but my children need me back to some kind of working order and my other surgeries are approaching. He finally gives me a gown but hikes my skirt all the way up and my panties down vs just pulling both down a little bit from the top as I requested. He doesn't sterilize the area, slowly put the needle in but it was very painful. His nurse suited him as she was just as rude and abrupt as he was looking at me as if I were petty, I hear her from the hallway, all needles are uncomfortable. Didn't bother telling me what to expect from the injection, treatment plan ...nothing! DON'T PAY "THE PRICE" go anywhere else but here!

I tried multiple times over a week period, I did finally reach someone but the message I left was in vain (never returned). So I decided to go back to his original group (Louisville Bone and Joint0 where my call was received within 30 seconds of hold time. I have an appointment next week. If the physician is half as attentive as the support staff, I am in goods hands.

It is clean, parking is ample, the elevators are immediately in front of you when you walk in. I was seen on the second floor and I was shocked at how quickly I was checked in, evaluated, x rayed, and then we discussed what we saw. Nothing else was left to be desired. Dr Jeffrey Stephenson and his team were professional and efficient.

Ever since having my son, my wrists and thumbs have been killing me. Come to find out this is a…read morecommon condition that can happen after picking up an ever-growing baby over and over again. I had gotten injections in my wrists earlier in the summer, but as Dr. Fehrenbacher warned, the pain could come back. And it did in my right hand. So I made a follow-up appointment at this office to see him again. I was in and out quickly. He made another injection in my right hand and told me to wear a brace on that hand for three weeks. Almost a month out, my wrist is pain-free. I appreciate the ease with which I booked an appointment and his guidance on how to help the pain go away. Here's hoping the pain won't come back, but if it does, I'm going to book another appointment with him.

In 2016 I was seeing Dr Blackburn for a ganglion cyst in my right wrist. It was small BUT where it…read morewas located caused me a lot of grief - especially when exercising. He took a minimally invasive approach first (as he's supposed to) by giving me a steroid shot to minimize the cyst - it was too small to drain. Fast forward several months later, where a freak thing happened. My EPL - which is the tendon that controls flexion and extension of the thumb, just ruptured! This happened while I was out of town, which FREAKED me out! I called and left a VM at the office (happened at like 10pm), and Dr Blackburn called me first thing in the morning. He told me how to patch up my hand to stabilize my thumb, and got me an appointment to see him the day after I returned from my trip. He did a thorough assessment and told me I needed surgery. He said the sooner I did it the better, but it was okay to get my affairs in order first. I scheduled the surgery for 2 weeks later. Also, he was kind enough to remove the troublesome wrist cyst while he was in there fixing my thumb since I asked. I got a 2 for 1 surgery deal He made it clear that surgery is the easy part. The hard part was up to me to be compliant and go to physical therapy and do my home exercises. Because of my age he repaired my tendon pretty damn tight - it took about 3 months of physical therapy with one of his preferred therapists as well as wrist stretches I do to this day to keep things good. (I do yoga and such FYI) Because of my compliance with PT and the success of his surgery, I regained about 95-100% use of my hand. This is my dominant hand, so this is HUGE. I was fully discharged from his care at the 6mo mark, and he did tell me it will take about 12-18 months before I go back to lifting as heavy as I did for an hour straight (but he also said anyone lifting for an hour would get tired) I am so grateful for the surgery and after care being a success, because the thought of not having my dominant hand is pretty devastating. Anytime anyone says they need hand surgery, I always tell them to check out Blackburn with Louisville Arm and Hand. And for Physical Therapy, check out Kelly with Kort PT near Norton Brownsboro Hospital!
