Then he arrived for my examination, with an entourage of other doctors from all around the nation to learn from his techniques. I felt like I didn't just have one doctor, but a whole team trying to help relieve me of my pain. His way of explaining things was amazing... never once did he talk down to my intelligence, but told me in terms that I understood exactly what we were looking for. I left that day with a plan of how we can diagnose and perhaps fix it... I left the clinic that day with hope, something I haven't had in a long time. One thing I didn't leave with was a new prescription for a new pill and an appointment three months later to see if it worked. Dr. Crawford is the real deal... it's hard to find doctors that take the time to do it right the first time anymore. I will keep this review updated.

In my case after having an MRI my Knee and Hip Orthopedic Doctor referred me to Baptist Pain Management. After a review of those results PA Shauna Wright recommended back relief with a spinal injection. Since I have upper back problems and lower back problems I got to choose which area was my first choice to relieve. I opted for the lower back relief since it remains at a major disabling level. Almost a year ago I was scheduled for an SI Injection by Dr Bauer at the Baptist Eastpoint Surgical Center. Prior to the initial procedure I had a variety of questions come up between my office visit and the surgical procedure. I was able to message Dr Bauer and she immediately answered ALL my questions and put me at ease. On the day of the procedure I got to meet this doctot who is extremely knowledgeable about her area of expertise, caring, competent and has a CALMING bedside manner. I got the two SI injections by Dr Bauer and since I opted to have the procedure with no premedication or sedation I was released to go home about fifteen minutes after getting to recovery. This procedure was a true relief to what had become continual outrageous pain. The relief lasted six months which was longer than relief was predicted. So before we were to travel for the winter holidays I scheduled another appointment with my Pain Management PA. While at that appointment the PA contacted Dr Bauer on my behalf. Dr Bauer was due to start maternity leave shortly. As the caring doctor that she is she agreed to fit my SI injection in as an office visit since I require no premeds or sedation. Once again I experienced wonderful results. Today , five months later I received my pair of SI injections. Dr Bauer and assistants can't be thanked enough for their caring, and professional treatment. I wish I could give you ten stars because five is certainly not enough.

Mom needed help and got nothing but put off and put off. She had an appointment for late January which is absolutely unacceptable it's pain management. She was forced to go to the emergency room today and 2 pelvic features where found. NOT SCIATICA. Not only did she not do x-rays or ctscan she delayed pain management, she has 2 broken hips. I am in constant significant back pain with a herniated disc, and I was referred to Dr. Vermuri to get an epidural injection ASAP. Meeting with Dr. Vermuri went fine and he said to schedule an epidural with his staff. I was told by his staff when checking out that I would hear back from the scheduling person within one to two days. After three days I called to find out when my epidural was scheduled for since I had not heard anything. I was told by someone named Amy that it is typically a week or more before an appointment can even be scheduled, and that they were currently running three weeks out AFTER you were scheduled. When I asked why in the world it takes a week to even get a procedure scheduled, I was told "the only person that schedules epidurals is Heidi, and she can take a week or more to schedule a procedure since she multitasks like the rest of us and has many other duties beside scheduling." So, I am in constant stabbing pain and at the mercy of a single multitasking "when she can get around to it" scheduler to even get on the books. That is one star. Appalling.

I finished the last one yesterday morning and have had zero pain after these strenuous hikes. My longest was 3 miles. I couldn't not have done this without Dr Clegg and his wonderful team. He also gave me pre-surgery exercises and post surgical exercises that are a must for success. I am now on a kneeling program which is going great and plan on paddle boarding by next weekend. I am so very thankful my friend referred me to Dr Clegg. Anyone who complains about their knee pain I tell them of Dr Clegg and what a phenomenal experience I had. I had a partial knee replacement done 7 years ago by another doctor and it popped out of place constantly and I just thought I would have to live with it the rest of my life. I am forever thankful and grateful for Dr Clegg and his staff!!! It was a great experience both times.

I am thankful that Dr. Rouben took the time to review my MRI and give me a second opinion about my injury. I now feel much better about what I have to do next. He was very personable and a pleasure to deal with. He was very direct and explained things in terms that were easy to understand. I could have sung the praises of Dr Brown through the years but I wanted to wait until I actually experienced his expertise in Total Knee Replacement surgery. I have needed knee replacement surgery for years but for a variety of reasons the timing was never right. Thirty years ago when I lived in California the problem the doctor identified was I was just TOO young to be a candidate for surgery. Twenty-five years ago after moving to the Louisville KY area I got started at a different orthopedic doctor's office and was told that other than knee injections there was no other option due to metal allergies that included titanium , cobalt and nickel. Injections in my knees were useless as the first day it increased the pain, the second and third day after were great, and then it was back to my original condition. Ten years ago a Physical Therapist I was being treated by mentioned Dr Brown as he had performed knee replacement surgery on the Therapist's mother. My first appointment with Dr Brown I was sold that I finally had found the correct professional. Upon arriving for my appointment a full set of x-rays on both knees were taken. Dr Brown needed no time in evaluating the x-rays and exclaimed I needed knee surgery for years. Yep, I knew that but thought I was going to lower the boom when I told him of my metal allergies. No, he had the answer. He exited the exam room and re-entered with an actual knee replacement kit (not even a sample but the actual surgical kit). Dr Brown explained that the joint would be made of Zirconium and the replacement bone could be made of polypropylene (layman's term = plastic). Great news! To proceed Dr Brown wanted additional allergy testing that was different than the standard patch testing. This allergy testing used blood to do a blood antigen test on everything that would be used during surgery such as specific cement, etc. While waiting for the results I promised Dr Brown I would work on losing some weight as it would be helpful in the overall surgery process. I also agreed to work on warm water physical therapy to be in the best condition possible for surgery and recovery. Based on my knee conditions Dr Brown wanted to replace the right knee first. Fast forward several years and my left knee was in HORRIBLE condition and I couldn't stand on the left knee/leg at all. Unfortunately that emergency appointment was with Dr Brown's APRN Craig. Oops, Craig found an additional problem and called Dr Brown in for a consult. No surgery could not happen. Dr Brown explained that with a pulse of 32 he couldn't do surgery. He instructed me to work with my Cardiologist to get a pace maker and then he would consider Knee Replacement Surgery. This review will not go into all the trials and tribulations of getting a pacemaker other than to say it took YEARS! In the meantime I made another appointment with Dr Brown because I thought I was having right hip problems. Dr Brown was so on top of things he immediately could say the problem is not your hip but appears to be a back problem. He ordered an MRI that confirmed exactly what he thought. From that information he said DO NOT CONSIDER BACK SURGERY but referred me to pain management. Finally back to June 2025. I had left Total Knee Replacement by Dr Brown. He requires all patients take a webinar class prior to surgery so you know exactly what to expect. In my final appointment with him prior to surgery he warned me I was in End Stage Osteoarthritis and that the surgery was not going to be a breeze. Together understanding the condition, the allergies, etc. he would do his best to avoid problems. I had total faith in him and experienced fantastic surgery and outcome. If you need an excellent orthopedic doctor for knee replacement or hip replacement Dr Brown is my recommendation!
