Her quilting contacts do a wonderful job whether it be quilting by machine or hand quilting, and her prices are below the average store without quality being diminished. The store is the exclusive seller of the fiber tool, Yarn Lazy Susan, as well as other items such as Tyme Clocks. There are novelties, usually free coffee for the men, and over 9,000 bolts of fabric to choose from at less than average cost per yard. If you can't find a special fabric, ask the store. They will try to locate it, and if they do find it, they will order it for you. You will only have to pay for what you need, not the entire bolt. This store is in Central Ohio near Mansfield (Shiloh), and is a must see. Nearby are the Country Store with Amish cheeses and bulk foods, a Mennonite hardware store, fresh vegetable roadside vendors (Sunny Crest Farms on Rt 13 at Shenandoah is the best), and mums galore in the Fall. If you have a JPEG logo for example there will be a fee (which was under $50 with tax) to have Hometown convert the logo into the file type required for embroidery. When I went into the store to look at the logo once it had been digitized I was able to have changes made to it - delete words and realign other words. The staff were super helpful telling me what is common in terms of logo width and font size. If you have a logo already made they can pretty much execute any drag and resize action you could want. If you don't have a file already, while they don't design logos, they can set you up with stylized words. The staff were super patient as I picked out the colors to be used bringing me spools of thread to compare against each other and against the shirts I brought in and the digital image of my logo. I find their prices super reasonable and everyone was very friendly. It was just $12 per shirt that I wanted to have embroidered. I didn't buy the clothing there, but they had a retail floor of clothing and hats and a half ream sized catalog that you could purchase anything you could imagine from. My shirts were ready for pickup a week later and I was really happy with the quality and colors. I will certainly drop off more shirts soon and I'm thinking some hats too and maybe some of those cloth grocery bags.

There's a lot here if you're willing to dig through! There's a vintage area with tons of old, vintage papers, photographs, sheet music, postcards, photo albums, negatives, etc. Loads of scrap fabric and remnants, yarn, embroidery floss, notions, scrap paper, scrapbooking materials, stickers, stencils, even industrial supplies like foam scraps, and household materials like pill bottles (empty of course), lids, jars, storage containers, craft kits, old calendars, big bins of wine corks, pens, etc. They have a HUGE selection of old National Geographic issues, some going back as far as the 1930s. Perfect for collages or collecting. They also have a few machines like scales, microscopes, sewing machines, etc. As well as a few tools, wood and metal working items, just bits and bobs of tons of things to sort through. It changes all the time so stop in regularly to see what they get in! And the best part? It's all SO cheap and keeps all these things out of landfills (56K lbs just last year)! Upcycling FTW! Some things are in better condition than others but if you're the creative type you will be inspired by all you can find here.
