    Shotgun golf cart you rent
    Gene G.

Incredible experience. The most fun I've ever had shooting. The facilities are immaculate and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They spent time with my 60 year old mother who has never used a shotgun in her life to give her some pointers. It's set up like a golf course with different stations to shoot. You're riding around in a golf cart to different shooting locations. lt really doesn't get much more fun shooting. This isn't a novelty, it's something you'll want to come back to. My only piece of advice is they should make anyone new to the range sit through a safety video and guide on the range.

    Bustin clays!

Great place to shoot! Great prices! Friendly helpful staff. A great way to spend time with family and friends.

My three girlfriends and I went to go skeet shooting. We are all beginners with skeet but have all experience with firearms. Mike was amazing! Even though they were having a tournament, he spent over an hour with us to make sure we all knew what we were doing and felt comfortable. Then he brought us out to the skeet area and helped each of us us shoot until we hit skeet! He did such a great job teaching us I hit the first one pulled!! We spent the next hour on our own and had such a great time we will absolutely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different!

You can shoot out of the back of a truck.

Do you like golf? Do you like shooting shotguns? Well, let's combine the two and you've got Etowah Valley Sporting Clays Park. I go on a lot of meetings in my line of work, a lot. Golf and dinners get played out pretty quickly. So, when trying to coordinate a meeting of the minds, my boss and I came up with the idea of Etowah Valley and it was a huge success. Right around an hour door to door from Midtown to the park, Etowah Valley is just a short trip up 400. When you make your way out there for the first time, you might think you've made a wrong turn, but keep on going. The folks in the shop could not have been more helpful. Some of us were experience gunsman and some of us weren't. But, they took the time to walk us through everything. We rented a couple of high powered golf carts (and shotguns) and made our way out to the park. The park is split into different courses, almost like multiple golf courses. Throughout each course are anywhere from 12-18 stops where you take aim, one person at a time and shoot some sporting clays. Whether you like guns, like the outdoors or just like to have a good time, I highly recommend making an afternoon out of a visit to Etowah Valley. My clients loved it and so did I. Be sure to take some pictures because it offers some rare opportunities for some unique captures. I will go back. The staff was wonderful and so was the experience. That's my word and I'm sticking to it.

A Great Hunt with Etowah Clays

This is a great place for those that enjoy wing shooting. They have a very nice clubhouse with fireplace and a lounging area for the shooters to relax. The sporting clays courses consist of 14 stations on the blue course and another 14 stations on the white course. The shooting is designed to simulate the movement of wildlife that a hunter would hunt. You can walk the course or rent a golf cart to make moving from station to station easy or less time consuming. A round of 100 clays and a golf cart rental runs around $38.00. A lot less than a round of golf and alotmore enjoyable. There also a 5 stand platform that allows 5 people to shot from a platform and shot a lot of different directions without moving around. Richard (the owner) runs a well organized operation and is extemely interested in all of his customers having a good time. Safety is a big deal and the staff makes sure everyone knows how they are expected handle guns while on the property. If you prefer shooting live birds, Richard offers a combination sporting clays (50 clays) and pheasant, chukar and quail on land that they lease. I resently hunted with Richard with a group of friends and had a great hunt that my friends will be talking about for some time.

I was given a recommendation to check this place out and I am so happy I did! The store has an…read moreamazing selection pretty much anything you could want. Definitely the best selection of retail firearms that I've ever seen. They also have nice items on consignment to look through. Prices are more than fair but the very best part about this place is the people. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. Big shout out to Chad for helping me pick two of the nicest firearms that now are part of my collection and for being patient and taking the time to go through everything with me. Also, thank you to Josh and Kasey for being so welcoming, and also very helpful. Range is clean and very nice. Parking is easy and there's lots of it and the drive to the range is really beautiful. If you're in the area and you haven't been, this is a must go. 10/10 recommend!

Over the last year I've been to at least half a dozen shooting ranges and Appalachian Gun and Pawn…read morerange is by far the best. They have 5 pistol ranges (up to 25 yards) and 5 rifle ranges (up to 50 yards). Both inside and next to each other if you want to bring both. All ranges have state of the art computer driven touch pads that give you just about and condition you want to practice in. Very well maintained with plenty of lighting all the way down the range. It makes your visit much more enjoyable when the staff is friendly and helpful. Not to mention all the customers are willing to talk with you and share helpful tips. Also they have multiple target variations all are extremely reasonable. So after all this, the thing I like most is they are extremely safety conscious, as am I and the guys I shoot with. No goofing off, no breaking any safety rules or you will be immediately escorted out! They have plenty of cameras to ensure all are safe. We try and go about every other week when we're all in town. Always a safe fun experience. Now if I can just get rid of this low and to the left of the target problem I have, all will be good. Lol.

My Taurus G2C had a rattle I could not diagnose, so I brought it here. He opened it up, poked around, and informed me that the block had been worn down. It wasn't my fault, but it was of cheaper quality so it could be expected. This is the part that has earned my repeat business: the gentleman then very honestly told me that I'd be looking at around $300 to replace it. Now, the gun only cost me $300 as I got it on sale at the time. He was totally transparent and said he could be wrong about part pricing and availability and he could do some digging if I wanted. That statement alone was enough for me to trust him, so I thanked him for his time and said it wasn't worth sinking more than I paid for it (this is not my Canik TP9SF after all). Now this was all about two months ago. I still carry my Taurus because it's smaller and (thankfully) I haven't needed to draw it. On a whim, I decided to look up what a new firing block for this model would be. Sure enough, it matched exactly what the gunsmith had told me. So not only did he know this off the top of his head, which speaks to his knowledge, but he was willing to double check and correct himself if he was misquoting me, which speaks to his integrity. I've bought ammo from this store before and have the utmost faith the rest of the staff is of the same caliber. (Get it? Caliber?) But the winning interaction was with their gunsmith. I will be going to C&R for all my needs from now on.
