Read about your procedure, be realistic with your expectations, look at before and after photos, see if you can find others that have gone through it, a plus if they used your surgeon, ask questions, lots of them! Seek other opinions, if necessary but when you've found the right one, you'll know. I hadn't even finished the consult and I knew Dr. Murariu was my guy for the job. I made a joke about being ready for the procedure that day but alas, as wonderful doctors are on a severe shortage, he was booked! Dr. M validated my feelings and concerns, answering every.single.one of my questions with compassion, humility and empathy. Our consultation alone was very authentic and patient centered which established trust, and showed his passion and genuine care for my wellbeing. Everyone I encountered at Athena Clinic fulfilled their respective roles as if the position was deliberately nurtured and tailored to them. Every person there, is so crucial to the shape, success and effectiveness of the company. From the jump, Gen was warm and inviting. She influenced my initial impression being the perfect bridge between patient and organization. Ikuko is so sweet and caring, we also do a great deal of laughing when we see each other! She is knowledgeable while still having the capacity to comfort her patients and ensure our needs are met. Xia is clear, assertive, and has an eye for perfection! I loved having her keen recognition of quality during the procedure. Kristy is compassionate and friendly. She listens, understands, and interjects well-timed communication with perfect balance. I had chin and neck liposuction, fat transfer to chin as well as Thermage to my face and neck. This has been a problem area and a real sore spot for my ego since I was a teen. The procedure itself was just as I expected. I was awake the whole time, chatting and filling the room with lots of laughter. We even experienced a bit of an actual earthquake, too! I felt no pain, aside from the needle injection of tumescent which didn't last long at all. There is a lot of what feels like pushing and tugging but I was more concerned with Dr. M's back being sore from being hunched over (he's so tall!). There remains beneath-the-surface healing but the worst part is long in the past and was short-lived. I went home with my face bandaged like a mummy (kidding), and was able to open my mouth just enough to slurp some soup (not kidding). Whatever your instructions are from your surgeon, follow them! They're there for a reason, sometimes beyond our know. I wish I could quantify my aliveness in a container and compare the impact this procedure had on my life. It was such a huge step forward and I am beyond thankful to all at Athena Clinic but especially to the talented Dr. Murariu. They have you place lidocaine on a popsicles stick so you can put on yourself either in the waiting room or the bathroom/ how turn and burn is that? You'd think with HIPPA they would give you some privacy and anonymity. 3. Roughly 2 years ago give or take, they went through a number of nursing and support staff, they gave me double the amount of GLp that I was being prescribed. I know this for a fact as I am fully aware (now) of dosing and measurements. I was scarred at the injection site, had huge side effects and they took no accountability; rather they blamed me. (Use IVIM or HERS) When I asked the first time they told me I didn't understand how they added b-12 and other things to the formula so the dosage was always different -nope!!! They had to many staff in and out. And they completely dropped the ball between pass offs from the person who checked with me, the second nurse who gave me the vials, then the dad who had me pay- all in the same room with glass case and the payment desk. 4. When addressing the 2 scars they did 2 microneedling sessions (about 10 minutes) and amber thought 2 -3 more would probably take care of it, but wanted me to pay for the sessions out of pocket. Even though I was an established client for various treatments. And it was their inattention to detail that cause me to scar at injection site All in- I think I gave them close to 8k. Had my cousins and my mom go there because I thought (at the time) they were well priced and seemed like decent Christian people. Now I think they are all about money; and to use a restaurant phrase "turn and burn" . I think they get clients in and out, rushed through- with little care or concern- because the entire family takes a salary, mom -dad-daughter and son in law. Now I am aware there are many other great med spas that offer similar or even better values. You don't numb yourself, and they give you time-detail- and even "free touch ups"; not to mention time to discuss concerns or how to move forward feasibly with a budget in mind I hope others had a good experience, this review is very late because I was waiting for a family member to finish their pre paid banked units. Dr. Schaefer is very personable and she's very nice when in the chair, but the business model and the way they treat their good customers who have valid complaints or issues are just horrid! My experience with Dr. Golden and her staff was outstanding. Every aspect of the procedure was explained completely and everyone was friendly and upbeat. The staff is excellent at dealing with any anxiety about the procedure. Dr. Golden is extremely adept and cleared the basal cell carcinoma on my forehead with two excisions. Her suturing is amazing and my subsequent pain was minimal. Two tylenols the first night and that was about it. The staff called me the following day to inquire about how the procedure went for me. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Golden for anyone faced with the need for a similar procedure.

Showed up for my appointment & Dr.Aaron Fong checked my sun spots & advised me to remove up to 15 spots would cost $200. I payed in full , after this 15 min. procedure. He performed the procedure. Facial spots are lighter, but are not fully gone. Leg spots were totally gone after 2 weeks. About 3 weeks later I get an invoice saying I owe $50. Dr. Fong did not explain a charge Of $209.42 would be for the office visit only. Maria in billing advised Medicare would cover $ 134.19. Patient portion ( me ) $ 50. & $25.23 show payed( very strange) Total treatment & office visit $413.61. I did not agree to this amount & voiced my disappointment to Maria. She agreed to dismiss the extra $50.00. Thank you! I will not go back to Dawson Dermatology,even for a needed remake& hope patients get treated fairly & staff must be upfront on their billing practices! I will notify Hawaii Pacific Health & Devoted Health about my experiences.

During my…read morevisit, we discussed sclerotherapy, and I was convinced to purchase a 3-treatment package after being assured it was safe, effective, and free of complications. The first session went smoothly and I had no issues. After the second treatment, however, I started to notice small red broken capillaries appearing. During my follow-up, I was told that everything looked "normal," and no concern or explanation was raised about these new veins. After the third session, which involved many injections, I was shocked to see a major outbreak of red broken capillaries across my legs. They looked significantly worse than before any treatment. I later learned on my own that this was matting -- something that was never mentioned or explained to me by Dr. Chung. When I brought it up at a follow-up visit, it was only then acknowledged. The before-and-after photos clearly showed how much worse my legs looked after sclerotherapy. Over the last three years, I've had multiple laser treatments and visits with vascular specialists trying to improve the matting, with little success. My legs still look damaged, and I no longer feel comfortable exposing them. I deeply regret proceeding with sclerotherapy that wasn't done under ultrasound guidance and with someone who didn't have extensive experience treating complications like matting. While I was given a partial refund, I continue to live with the long-term effects of this poor outcome. I hope others do their research carefully before committing to this type of treatment.
