I was thoroughly impressed with the Pastelle Laser Resurfacing that I received for Melasma. I'm 69 years old and have been battling with this condition since going through menopause at the age of 50. I've always had noticeably thick upper arms. Whenever I gained weight, it mostly went to my upper body -- especially my arms, which were the part I felt most insecure about. I've had three Fractora treatments and two laser skin brightening sessions. I'm 40 years old. My main concerns going in we're acne pick scars on both cheeks from when I was a teenager, large pores, some wrinkles (but not many), and dark spots from sun and pregnancies. I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed. I was worried I'd spend thousands and it wouldn't really help my complexion any, but after comparing my own before and after pictures, it was all worth it. I've added my own pictures here, unfiltered, no make up. Left is dated August 18th...Right is February 14th (6 months). My last Fractora treatment was early January. The pictures speak for themself. About the procedure, it's uncomfortable, but not unbearable. 1 hr of numbing and about 10 minutes of laser needling. Recovery takes about a day. I love Rose, she helped me with my bodyfx laser for my stubborn underarm fat. I like that they have the texting and email reminder program for when your appointment is because I'm always forgetting. I did 5 treatments, one area was considered for one arm so I ended up using 2 per session. I purchased 10 areas. I found them on Groupon and purchased from there for a $219. https://www.groupon.com/deals/face-body-laser-9 I'm always looking for trying different treatments out for fun and to see what works for me and my body. You're only supposed to purchase one for each person, but my partner got one for me as a gift and they honored it which I was happy with. You have to pay the tax up front on your first visit which I think it was like $25. Body Fx laser hurts especially on the underarm because its a sensitive area. I should have used numbing cream and I wish they offered that, but just as a warning. Potentially on other areas it may feel less sore. I didn't see a big difference after 5 sessions maybe I needed to go more. They do tell you to follow healthy eating, exercise, drink lots of water and you'll see more of a difference, but I just think in general underarms are a hard area to treat. Resolution has been determined and I hope others can be cautioned from my experience with this business: 1) In the agreement that you sign, there is a section covering "damage to the skin" including burns which is coupled with the "no refunds" policy. 2) "No refunds" policy was enforced when I asked for my money back both for the services I was burned and again when I asked for my money back only on the half portion of treatments I never received. 3) Although initially told I could get a refund, the ultimate determination was denied because of my negative Yelp review. 4) The burn occurred because the laser was not in direct contact with the skin, which is an easy occurrence. I did not jump a great deal and was still left with burn marks. It is hard to tell the difference between the laser and an actual burn, I only noticed once the pain from the blister occurred. 5) This issue was dragged out from November for a period of four months with tons of hostility and unprofessional actions. 6) I asked for and was denied the name and aesthetician license number of the tech who burned my skin as well as the doctor's name and medical license number that they wanted to inspect my burn mark. Even the license of the owner was denied and I was told I would need an attorney to get it from them. These are the facts and I can confidently say I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I got the body FX treatment by Jeannie for the love handle area. She was very informative during the consultation and helped me feel comfortable about the treatment. I'm pretty fit male at about 13-14% body fat, however the love handle area is stubborn and is the last place I'll lose fat (also first place I'll gain fat). The treatment is pretty quick (15-20 minutes) and not too painful. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get rid of a small amount of stubborn fat as it is quick and not very expensive for a small area. After doing much research on the Internet, I figured that Fractora was the best solution for getting rid of the persisting scars and red marks left on my face from years of teenage acne and Accutane. So about two weeks ago, I went to Face & Body Laser Hawaii to get a treatment done on my face. First of all, when I entered the office, I noticed that it was very clean and cozy. Jeannie greeted me kindly and explained the process of the treatment. She applied numbing cream to my face, waited 30 minutes for it to take effect, then started up her machine. Jeannie gave me an air cooling tube to hold and started stamping away at my face, just like I'd seen in the videos online. The needles stung a bit, but the pain was bearable. Jeannie worked very quickly and carefully, taking 20 or so minutes to cover every square inch of my face. She even did a second pass over my skin, addressing problem areas around my jawline and neck as well. Having done professional skin treatments before (in South Korea, where the doctors are famous), I can confidently say that Jeannie did a more thorough and effective job than those other places. Compared to the doctors in Korea, Jeannie cares much more about the well-being and outcomes of her clients. After the treatment, my skin was a bit pink, so Jeannie gave me a few packets of antibacterial ointment to apply to my skin at night. Over the next few days, my skin returned to its normal color and the grid marks on my face slowly started to come off. Looking at the before pictures, I can tell that my skin has already started to improve after only two weeks! The pitted scars in my face look more shallow and the texture is much smoother than before. Jeannie told me that over time, my skin will continue to improve, so I will wait for my face to fully recover and come back in two months for another treatment. TL;DR: The slight pain you might experience during the Fractora is totally, 100% worth it. I'm very happy with the results I've gotten after only two weeks. Unprofessional and unsanitary! I've been to a few laser hair removal places before. This place is in a very nice office but it's not officially part of that office's business; they just rent one room. The Ferguson Clinic may have better practices. (Michelle, who I think works for the Ferguson Clinic did one of my sessions and she was amazingly professional and knowledgeable!) First off, Jeannie did not change or clean the service table or lap drape between clients so I sat in someone's sweaty table mess and the pillow was also soaked with sweat. I could feel the laser gel and sweat on the cloth that likely covered their bare genitals. Disgusting! She did not lock the door so a complete stranger (male) walked into my session while I was naked from the waist down also. To top it all off, she does a shoddy job and misses spots. This is the most unsuccessful laser I've ever had, and I've had very successful sessions elsewhere. If she made it to my sessions she was perpetually late, sometimes I waited for over half an hour for her to be ready, or would see her at the mart downstairs. This is unacceptable as there is a fee to park there for the amount of time you stay; the "validation" does nothing if your tech shows up so late. Jeannie also continually cancelled or rescheduled the times of my appointments last minute and would not tell me; I would just get an automated notification over text. Changing my appointment at 5 a.m. same morning that I am supposed to be there at 9 a.m. Completely unprofessional. If a customer did that they'd be charged a fee or lose a session. In fact, I was texted that late cancellations by me would result in a $25 fee - I never did that but Jeannie perpetually did! She offered me a free underarm treatment on my last appointment which raised her review from 1 star to 2. Before you try this service, beware of the quality and professionalism you should be expecting. It's unsanitary, unsafe, poor results, unprofessional, and not private. read more

I finally decided to cancel my purchase. But because I gave this place a chance to response to my messages, I missed the Groupon 3 days money back refund. I am now stucked with a Groupon bucks for $409. I am still trying to get my money back and working with my CC by filling a dispute. Bad customer service. Big NOPE for me. I bought the Groupon, which seemed like a GREAT deal for laser. After buying it, I called Jeannie. It took a few calls at different times to get ahold of her, and she apologized, stating that she was tired and very busy. She was booked for a while, which was okay; I understood that. I tried to schedule appointments for two appointments, but she told me that she didn't have her appointment book with her, so she couldn't schedule the farther out appointment. I let her know it was important, date-wise (my wedding!), that I have a specific window, and she said that the scheduling would be fine; we would schedule it, and that date should be good. There was a discrepancy between the timeframe that she was saying on the phone (8 weeks between appointments) and the Groupon (at least 6 weeks apart). I questioned her about this, and she told me to look it up online. (((BTW, I did--hair growth is generally every 4-6 weeks, so laser should be scheduled every 6 weeks; after you've been going to laser awhile you can do it every 8 weeks.))) At this point I was a little worried, and offered to call back to schedule the appointment, and figure out the 6-week vs 8-week thing. She said she was really busy, and I should just come in on the day of my appointment and we'd figure it out; she did not want me to call her back to schedule or to ask questions. I figured I was just worrying for nothing, so I just waited until my appointment. I arrived early to the building, parked, and wandered around. Her office is sort of INSIDE the Ferguson clinic. The Ferguson clinic's receptionist was super nice, helpful, etc. I filled out some F clinic paperwork while I waited. When Jeannie first walked out, I wasn't sure if it was her, so I just smiled politely, we both said hello. A few minutes later she poked her head back into the F clinic, called me by name, and asked me to follow her. I followed her to her room, which seemed to be outside of the F clinic, but was really the back door to their post-op, I believe. I was a little wary, but it turns out she has a super nice, professional, clean room setup in there. It was very nice inside, and seemed good. She handed me some more papers to fill out. On the bottom of one of the forms, it said something like "I have asked questions and had them answered." At this point I stopped and told her, politely, that before we did the first service, I would like to make sure we got the scheduling figured out, so that if it didn't work out, I could still get the Groupon refunded. She didn't seem to want to answer questions: She told me time was limited and she had appointments after me... She told me that it was going to be every 8 weeks, after 2 appointments. I let her know that her Groupon essentially said 6 weeks: "Appointments need to be scheduled at least 6 weeks apart." This leads one to believe that if you're scheduling her "unlimited" laser, you will receive 8 sessions within the year. Wow, what a deal! Except that Jeannie may try to schedule you 8 weeks apart: She did that initially when I tried to schedule 1st two appointments. Perhaps it was a mistake, and she was just counting incorrectly (she did say she was tired, so maybe), but if you're doing it 8 weeks apart, you're only going to get 6x a year. That makes it less of a good deal. When I told her about the 6 week thing on Groupon, she said that it was wrong, and it shouldn't say that. She said maybe she should change it. I understand making a mistake, but she didn't seem to want to explain the science side (why 8 weeks, when hair growth is 4-6?), and said that she won't do it for 6 weeks for me, because she tells everyone 8. Okay, then, then I'm going to have to get a Groupon refund. "You told me to look it up, and I did, and I'm confused here." She then gets super offended, telling me I should not question her, but instead I should just trust her. She tells me what a kind and trustworthy person she is. I let her know that I'm not comfortable with someone who doesn't want to answer my questions, who doesn't want to explain things, who is says they are too tired to talk. She says that's unprofessional, and she'd never say she was tired. If I can't trust her, I cannot get laser from her. I completely agree that this is not going to work out. I ask her how to get the refund; she says she doesn't have my $, that I need to call Groupon. I stand up to go, then her attitude gets more sweet, and she says she hopes I can find such a good deal as she had. I tell her, nicely but sincerely, I'd rather pay more and have someone who doesn't mind answering questions, explaining procedures, etc. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 bc it's a nice setup, and if you don't care about the hair growth cycle and the laser being the most effective, it'd do for you. I honestly think she bit off more than she could chew, got overbooked, and was overwhelmed. I'm sure she's a nice person, but I would pass. read more

I've never felt so compelled to write a review. I got botox here recently, and bruised quite bad. I've been getting botox for years never bruised - i called and texted she calls me back and says it will go away and if it's serious i will tell you, just trust me you don't know i know. Then says did u fall before bump your head, bruise ? It goes away right ? It was just really bad customer service. Instead she should've said I'm sorry, let me have my Rn talk to you. And let's monitor it, i'll follow up. Also she could've suggested arnica gel. But she was quite defensive.
