Personally, I prefer to have this type of procedure done by a medical doctor rather than a technician. That's just my preference, since microneedling involves creating small punctures in the skin, and I feel more comfortable knowing everything is done in a strictly sterile medical environment. went to have one of my large sun spots and a couple others on my cheek removed. had previously tried picosure at other places with some to very little effect. was treated by Nikki who told me she could do a single pass at them and it should flake off after ~2 weeks. it did exactly that and although some of the smaller sun spots are still there, they did decrease in size, however the large sunspot which i was most worried about is totally gone and I couldnt be happier with the service, pricing, and information! would definitely recommend! read more

Just a tip about parking, the parking space is very tight and almost always full depending on what time you go. There is street parking and other places that you can park with a short walk to the office which is ok. The office is so cute and comfy when you walk in. There's 2 French bull dogs that my young daughter just loves so much. They're too cute. Nikki and Ashley are so kind and professional. I had my first tattoo removal session today. It wasn't what I expected, it was actually better. I got a tattoo about 10-11 years ago and I have been wanting to get it removed for about 5 years. I've been waiting and researching to see what I wanted. I called around and attended a handful of plastic surgeons that charged $800 per session and I couldn't go forward with something like that. I figured I'd have to live with the tattoo forever. I found Way Gone on Yelp, followed them on IG, one day I sent them a DM on IG and I made an appointment. Yassss. I love that I could message them versus call, since I'm at work during the week and can't freely talk at work. The location was easy to find, parking was easy in the morning (when I left, it was full). I went in today (Saturday) for a consultation and they were so informative and they gave me a price after reviewing the tattoo and my filled out paperwork. which was a little more than I though (mine is fairly large, approx 7 inches long 2 inches tall) but it wasn't anything that I couldn't afford. It was also significantly less than what doctors told me in the past. They gave me an estimated amount of sessions I need, and I decided to move forward with my first treatment. I would rather pay the amount I did versus being embarrassed. My tattoo isn't in a location that is frequently seen, so it's a little embarrassing to show people, but they made me feel so comfortable and they seemed just as eager to get it off me as much as I was lol. It was so quick. It wasn't painless, but to me it didn't feel like "bacon grease" or "rubber band snap". It didn't "hurt" as much as either one of those things. To me it was more like an unexpected finger flick. I didn't take anything beforehand and I was expecting a lot more pain, but nope. It was about 3-5 minutes for such a large tattoo that I am happy I didn't psych myself out. It's been about 3 hours, I've iced it and it feels like a sunburn. I'm excited to go back in a few weeks. If my opinion of them changes within that time, I'll update my review, but as of right now... I'm happy. 12/10/17 update: It's been 6 months and I've had 2 sessions total. I was supposed to go back in September but had a minor surgery and was on blood thinners (no no for tattoo removal appointments). I have since moved off the island, and today after my shower I noticed how much my tattoo has faded from my last appointment in August (I think it was August time frame, possibly end of July). I more than likely need one more session and my tattoo will be gone, WAY GONE (cheesy, I know). While there are tattoo removal places where I live in Dallas, I will go back to Way Gone in May (2017) when I'm back on Oahu. I literally don't trust anyone else to remove my tattoo. read more

Kind of hard to find and parking was a little tough, but after my consultation and first laser treatment I am quite pleased. For the consultation you just go in and the staff is very knowledgeable and accesses your situation for you, let's you know about how many treatments you are looking at, and of course the cost. Then you can schedule an appointment. The actual procedure was fairly quick, she numbed me for a while and then began the laser treatment. The treatment itself was nowhere near as painful as the after-procedure pain. Similar to a really, really bad burn. It blisters. Your tattoo probably won't be gone after one treatment. The lasers break up the color and then your body naturally removes it. She told me the fading is basically up to how much water and exercise I get in. These photos are before, 2days after, and one week after, and 2.5 weeks after I'll update after my 2nd treatment!! read more
