Melinda, Seval and their team recently completed a $600,000 renovation on my 17-year-old home. The job consisted of: all new master bath, all new master closet, hand scraped hardwood floors in master bedroom, hand scraped hardwood floors for rear staircase, new tile and counters for kitchen, new sinks and hardware for kitchen. There were so many moving parts and details that went into the design and construction. The electricians, painters, plumbers, etc that were hired by Euro were all so very professional, respectful and qualified. During this 5 month renovation, my husband and I stayed upstairs and while that was a challenge, Euro ensured that our home and our furnishings were cared for and well protected. Euro stands out in their field and it's easy to see why! Just recently, Euro came back to my home to ensure I was happy with the work and that everything was working properly. A couple of plumbing issues needed tweaking and they made my wheeled rolling ladder system in my closet work more smoothly. I mean, who does this? Melinda spent a lot of time with us to understand who we are, how we will live in it, and what we were looking to achieve. Seval went over and above to ensure it was perfect for us and cabinets he built are beautiful! Throughout the whole process, they and their whole team were very professional, skilled, organized, informative, and communicative from the beginning design meetings to completion of the project. This is our forever home and they went the extra mile to ensure this remodel will stand the test of time in style, functionality and workmanship. As for the bathroom itself, we Luv~Luv it and the direction she took us with her design choices. The aesthetics, function and design are absolutely perfect and timeless. My only regret is that we didn't include the master closet, but will look to them in the future. Still to this day, we walk in and out of it in passing and say to each other "I luv our bathroom" in a sing song way and spend a lot of my time in there. To sum up how much I luv it, I think to myself, " I want the night to go quickly so I can hurry and get up to play in it, organize, mess around on my phone in there... and just marvel at it." My husband and I were researching contractors for a remodel project on our home. We desired to demo out a half pony wall between our dinning room and den. Then replace it with a large eyebrow entrance to achieve a open floor plan that's so popular today. The job consisted of opening up one wall between the two front rooms that would allow us to use our den as our new dinning room which would be located across from our kitchen. Our project also needed someone with engineering experience, because we were going to add an additional vaulted ceiling to our two-story ceiling in the new dinning area so we could achieve a tall A- frame vaulted ceiling. Once that was completed then we would add decorative wooden beams on our new A-frame ceiling with can lights between them. ( A engineer's stamp is important confirming that the project is designed and built properly to code and structuraly safe and sound.) We actually understand this process and voiced our concerns about needing an engineer to be able to implement our project. We called this company because judging by the pictures it seemed that they did big renovations. The person who answered the phone was very kind and said that they were booked out till September. I told her, that was fine. We did not mind waiting. If we thought that we had found the right company to do the job right, then it would be worth the wait. She's then suggested, that I should speak to the owner of the company. I thought that was really nice and took it as a positive sign. Within moments, another lady picked up the line and asked me to describe our project. I conveyed the same information I told the lady I spoke with earlier. I explained that because it was a structural renovation a engineer would be needed since we were adding a second vault on the ceiling. Then she shocked me with something I've never heard before in all my years of remodeling. After I explained the whole project, she then said to me, " Let me ask you this.,,,,, Are you willing to pay for an estimate?" I answered, "Are you asking ....me to pay- for an estimate??? Because, I've been doing remodeling for a very long time and no one has every asked me to PAY for an estimate. She replied, I have been doing this 20 years. I often have people pay for estimates in advance. We do Very big jobs..... I come to their home, they give me a certain amont of money upfront. I said , that sounds like a deposit. "No" she said, but we do that too- after you've paid for the estimate. So I said, wait a minute,...are you seriously asking me to give you a fee for coming out to give me an "estimate"? Your asking me to pay you for an estimate! She replied, "I've been doing this 20 years. We do it all the time!" I said, well I've been doing remodeling for almost 40 yrs & I've never - ever had anyone ever ask me to pay for a estimate and told her I would never do that. I explained, It's been my exsperiance that most people usually get several estimates and then pick the contractor that best suits their needs and that they feel comfortable doing the work for them. I calmly replied, I'm not going to do that - I'm not going to pay for an estimate. But thank you for your time. Then she said,....... Well your job sounds like it's too small for us. The reason I'm writing this is if the basic guidelines of hiring a company to do a project starts off like this - who knows - what else can go wrong. When choosing a contractor, most people have several contractors or trades people come me out to give them an estimate. It doesn't cost you a dime. I suggest, the first step is to go to the Better Business Bureau and other helpful websites that teach you what to look out for, what questions to ask, proper insurance, city codes and what to avoid when hiring a contractor. It's helpful information to navigate you through the "Proper process" in hiring a contractor or roofer, trades person etc. read more

Melinda had taken the time to understand our tastes and lifestyle, and our objectives for the project before she presented us with designs and various samples. My home was built in 1994 by a builder who cut corners and used inferior products. I've worked with Melinda, Seval and the Euro team several times over the last few years to correct the many problems this home happens to have. The Euro team does excellent work with both Melinda and Seval closely monitoring and supervising each project. I've found the Euro team to be very professional and trustworthy. They arrive on time and go straight to work. They appear much like a strong, proud family of ethical, committed individuals striving for perfection; performing each task with a strong attention to detail. I cannot stress enough how grateful I am to Melinda for listening. She talks with you to discover exactly what you want, need, your budget requirements and what's most important to you; then she does her magic. She creates beautiful designs, but believes as I do, that beauty without the function to meet your needs is worthless. This year, I asked Melinda to start at the stairway and then gut my entire upper floor consisting of a large sitting area, master bed, bath and closet. The vaulted ceilings were popcorn, nail pops and water stains. The bath area had cracked floor tiles in the shower, a leaky spa tub with no access panel and vinyl flooring cracking and peeling around the commode and baseboards. The wall texture was cracked and had fallen off in some areas. The sitting area had three massive windows that wouldn't lock, had no required lintel support and allowed in dust and dirt. Around the window, the wall and ceil were also water damaged. Now the entire upstairs is breathtaking. All the inferior and substandard items replaced with quality products. Shabby and nonfunctioning replaced by a beautiful serene retreat. I couldn't be more pleased. In addition to the upstairs, the pantry shelves had 12 vertical supports installed to correct sagging. The existing kitchen stove vent hood was removed and reinstalled after wood and screws were added to the under cabinet so the hood could be held in place correctly. Both the patio French doors and front entry door were replaced. The new doors are stunningly beautiful, greatly enhancing the look of both entries; but more importantly dramatically increased the safety and security of the house. I highly recommend Melinda, Seval and the entire Euro Design team. I will most definitely work with them again on any future projects. read more

This design, build, and remodel company is one of the best in the business. We have had 5 projects completed by them, the master bathroom, master bedroom, kitchen, stairs, and a water damaged area on our front facade that ran two stories up the front of the house. Each of the projects was done to perfection and we are now involved in our 6th project, the remodel of our spare bedroom, closet, and bath. The cabinet builds are always top grade and in our master bedroom they added a beautiful mantel to a gas fireplace that was added to the room during the remodel. The mantel was built to complement the bathroom cabinets that Seval built during our master bathroom remodel.
