Always good place to get international foods mostly from Eastern Europe and gives me nostalgia from going there so much with my family as a kid. Fresh cheese,all kinds of fresh meat, mackerel ( ), sausages(), frozen pelmeni () , canned produce, candy, cookies, Soviet ice cream. Also sometimes they have fresh dill, fresher than in most grocery stores around asheville. They have good variety of all the foods you grew up eating in Ussr; like Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Czech. The owners of the store is always warm and treats us like family. People complaining in the reviews are usually mad because whatever they are doing wrong they can't get away with because Tanya stands up for herself and doesn't let people walk all over her. She will always try to accommodate customers fairly and gives people many chances. read more

I feel as though Eastern European food has a wealth of flavors and treasures that many Americans have not been exposed to. Western and Central European cuisine is at least somewhat familiar to many Americans, but delicacies from Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, and Russia are new and different. Without a guiding hand, insight into these offerings can be challenging. The Euromarket is located just around the corner from Los Nenes bakery in the Aldi shopping center off of Patton in West Asheville. Hoping for a new and unique variety of selections for a charcuterie board I decided to overcome my intimidation of lack luster knowledge and load up on items to share with friends here. Where as I was concerned by a language barrier and profuse lack of knowledge leading to a lot of buying and hoping for the best, I was warmly greeted on my way in the door and helped tremendously by the man behind the pastry/deli counter, Dennis. I told him my hopes for a unique meat and cheese board and he set to work choosing and slicing a variety of meats and cheeses. The real winner was the russian twice smoked bacon (typically eaten raw). A very mild flavor with a melt in your mouth tenderness. GREAT selection. The cheeses were all quite pleasant, especially the smoked gouda. I also chose a hungarian smoked sausage from the freezer case, along with some moldovian salami (smokier and less acidic than italian salami). Another very kind gentleman named Vadim was more than happy to help me with some items from the pastry case. Rugula were plentiful and so perfect for a post cheese board meal, and he also introduced me to a dessert made to resemble a walnut filled with either carmel or a walnut praline. (The walnut praline was incredible!) Euromarket also carries a wide array of eastern european beers, which I look forward to trying over the coming months. There were quite a few items friends recommended seeking out during my visit, but Vadim explained to me that a number of them are so popular that they often sell out quickly upon arrival. I really enjoyed this store. I just recently moved to NC and have had a hard time in the last couple places I've lived finding foods from home (Hungary) although a lot of it was Russian, Romanian, etc, I felt they had a solid variety across many eastern european foods. I was able to get everything I needed for my dishes and more! There was plenty stocked of everything, and the employee was kind and courteous. Will be back regularly, even the store felt like those in Hungary. Again, really enjoyed this. read more

Tight quarters, disappointing selection, and no one in there was wearing a mask. A trip there is not worth the price of covid. I was so excited after moving here to find a store that might carry the Russian foods I miss from home, but I guess I'll have to live with the disappointment. They have everything including a huge selection of candies by the pound, pastries by the pound, etcetera. I've only purchased the candy wrapped with a gun image, camel graphic, and the like. Then I tried the poppy seed bread. Oh, it was just sweet enough. It was too expensive either. I was surprised that a place that specializes in Eastern European and other goods wasn't more expensive like the Asian markets around town. read more

Not necessary competitive prices. What they sell in gastronomy and candies can be ordered for half of their prices on line. But they need uneducated and uninformed people to benefit from. So, do your search before you feed someone with your hard eatned money. Most of the stuff can be ordered from watehouse in NYC where food is unloaded from ships to be sold wholesale. Their minimum is negatiable, especially on perishable poultry and cheeses. Good luck and don't be fooled any more! read more

somehow i just found the Euromarket and went to visit it right away. i moved to AVL 4.5 years ago from Germany and only the name Euromarket made me pretty exited. walking around the excitement quickly faded. i don't really know why this market is called Euromarket to be honest. i found about 10 items from western Europe in the whole store everything else was written in Cyrillic and i assume a lot of the things were from Georgia, correct me please when i m wrong, as i can't read the language. some interesting things for sure but the shelves where stocked pretty sparse. a few beers and wines, but nothing to write home about. a massive self serve set up for sweets , that i found a little unnecessary, but ok, you can get a bunch of sweets. the only really interesting thing was the smoked fish, it looked good i might go back for that. its true the place is not expensive but the selection of stuff is just very weird and sad that they didnt expand it to other European countries... read more

Best store of its kind in all of North Carolina. The prices are extremely competitive and the selection is massive compared to other such stores. The produce moves quickly so there's always fresh stuff on the shelves. HIGHLY recommend getting a slice of one of the cakes in the deli section. read more
