The minute I walked in I knew I came to the right place. It really took me back to those nostalgic days with those familiar smells I grew up loving. Everything is made fresh, and to order at K&S Italian specialties. I wound up buying their pasta salad, fresh Italian bread, imported dry pasta and cookies. This place was busy and I saw many people ordering their different types of sandwiches which are large. I love that they have a sandwich with chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe and fresh mozzarella. They make all different kinds of pasta dishes and they do catering too. As I walked around I noticed they have wonderful imported soppressatas, ( dry cured salami's) fresh pastas,and dry pastas, imported olive oils, balsamic's , Italian cookies, delicious Italian breads. Imported meats and cheeses. They sell beautiful imported dishes and platters from Italy. The staff is very friendly and a lot of locals come here. I highly recommend this store

When you walk in, they have various goods (e.g., olive oil, pasta) on the right wall and the meat and cheese cases on the left. There were several workers behind the counter so I did not have to wait long to place my order. I ordered the sub with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar. It's normally a 20 minute drive home but because of the rain, it took nearly 30. When we got home, the sub was not soaked to the point where the bread was falling apart, which shows they add just enough and the bread is sturdy. It was just as good as I remember it. I wish I could find someplace similar closer to home but don't mind the drive back to K&S.

I really respect that it's clean but for those eating to have those fumes, especially with allergies can be disruptive. We purchased some frozen apple pierogi ($9.99), rye bread ($4.50), cheese babka ($9.99), and a filled doughnut ($2.50) called a Paczki. The Paczki was an oversized doughnut filled with prune jam and topped with citron - I would buy again for sure. The cheese babka was excellent. The rye was from the Lithuanian Baking Co - we have had their breads before and are always pleased. We will be back. This deli is less than five minutes drive from the Manville WalMart.
