Frequenting a few other Russian stores, this one is the biggest with several packed aisles of food from Russia. Their Korean carrot salad is the best I've had. They sell sausage, cheese, pelmini, sour cream, and more!

Sauerkraut, pickles, and sunflower oil for vinaigrette salad. Black bread to accompany borscht and farmers cheese for other cooking.

I visited the store with the intent to purchase ingredients necessary for cooking Russian cuisine. I was blown away by how helpful everyone was including the customer who helped me pick the ingredient! The store carries many variety of pickles, farmers cheese, sunflower oil, chocolates, deli meat, black bread perfect to eat with borscht, you name it, they have it. Additionally, I loved how clean and sanitary the store was. The aisles were also wide and merchandise were clearly displayed. Something that I really appreciate during the pandemic when I need to shop. I will definitely be returning again in the future for sure!

Wine from Georgia, chocolates and sweet organic dried apricots from Uzbekistan!

Drove an hour to get there and will absolutely be back soon! Totally worth the drive! Very clean store, huge variety of products, high quality and service is on point! Only regret that we weren't hungry because they also have a cafe, and I'm sure the food they make is delicious!

European Delight has been around for about 6 years, but recently had changed management. The store offers a selection of eastern European goodies, such as snacks, cookies, meats, and other products, more heavily focusing on Russian delicacies. They also had a pantry shelf full of different individually-wrapped chocolates where you can buy in bulk. I tried some of their housemade pirojkis (beef & potatoes, chicken, and mashed potatoes), which came in a nice little bun - my favorite out of the 3 was the beef & potatoes one, filled with well-seasoned ground beef and cubed potatoes. The daughter of the owners were in there, and she was really sweet :D A cute little mart to stop by to check out :D +housemade pirojkis (beef & potatoes) +eastern European goodies +bulk candy +friendly staff :D

Ask the Community - European Delight

Hello. Does this place sell primarily Eastern European products, or will I be able to find British products as well?

Sadly, no. It's just products found in the eastern parts of Europe.

Does this place sell smoked fish, like salmon?

Yes they do--salmon and other fish as well.

The variety of flavors is mind boggling. I tasted the chocolate truffles and I was in heaven. Rich, soft, sweet, and creamy. The best part is that it is Gluten free, egg free, non dairy, and only sweetened with natural sugar. The flavors and colors are so amazing. They offer gift boxes, where you can customize the different kinds of fudge. They also have an assortment of gifts to grab and go. They had some jewelry and electric handheld massagers. Also, stuffed animals for the kids. Service was fabulous. I already know which flavors I am choosing for my Thanksgiving dinner hostess gift. Prices are reasonable, you can get an 8 pack for $16.00. I was so impressed with this new shop. Located in Montgomery Westfield Mall, they are a gem.

My Mom had their green beans as a side and I had a few - they were crispy and very good. Too many places over cook things. Waitress behind the bar was great. Nice 'neighborhoody' casual atmosphere. Any Marylander of the Boomer and GenX generation knows about O'Donnell's RUM BUNS. I used to come here with family back in its heyday and these were served table side before our meal. How crazy is that, a nice lil somewhat sinful dessert BEFORE some MD crab?! Those were the days! The rum buns are more nostalgia more than anything, I wouldn't say they'll blow your socks off, but hey, nostalgia is nostalgia. Well, I'll need to dine in here for a full and complete verdict, but my quick grab and go visit was a tad chaotic. Service for taking orders could improve - you walk in, there's a seafood counter to your left, bakery counter to your right (both were unmanned when I walked in) and in the middle is a deli section with the cash register where I assume they take orders. We stood there for a few good minutes before getting anyone's attention despite the fact a manager asking staff (not customers) if everyone was being helped. Clearly staff did not know who was waiting to check out, take orders or just waiting for their orders to arrive. So it was just weird. No one greeting you as you walk in either, it just also weird because there's no clear line anywhere you stand. Otherwise, rum buns were as I remembered them. Also picked up crab dip and chicken salad from the grab and go section from the back and they were just ok, not bad, not great. So will come again for a future visit hoping to have a much better meal and experience!

We shared an order of French fries which were hot and crispy. I love the complimentary pickle platter too. The deli is a fun and comfortable restaurant. We finally had to ask an older server if anyone was going to help us before we even got menus. Meanwhile, staff stood around talking to the cooks and drinking their own beverages instead of paying attention to customers. When someone finally took our order, the food was just as bad as the service. The cheese omelette was tiny, the bagels tasted like low quality supermarket bagels, and the hash browns were completely inedible. The nova with eggs had chopped onion that were unevenly distributed. They had a strong chemical smell and tasted like old industrial oil. We left the potatoes on the plate untouched. To top it off, the server who told us to seat ourselves ignored us the entire time but immediately helped the next customer who walked in. After 20 years, this place has clearly gone downhill. Between the poor service and terrible food, there is no reason to come back. If they care, Management needs to step in.
