Herb Connolly Chevrolet Framingham…read more ***Beware of service manager Jay and service rep Joie Mullen - deceptive and unprofessional conduct*** I bought a brand new 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 last February directly from Herb Connolly Chevrolet Framingham and, at the same time, purchased a brand new Fisher XV2 plow through this dealership for about $12,000, including their installation. In hindsight, I should have purchased the plow directly from Fisher, but I relied on the dealership's representations. The salesman, Joao Demarchi, and the finance manager I worked with both told me that if there were any issues, everything would be covered under warranty. I drove the truck home and did not use the plow until January 26th, which was a major snow day. I own two businesses and normally handle plowing ourselves. After less than four hours of light use at the first location, the plow's lifting mechanism completely stopped working. We didn't even make it to the second location. This was especially disappointing because I was told this was Fisher's most powerful and reliable plow. The truck had to be towed in because the plow failure made it unusable. When I brought it in, I was told that just to diagnose the plow would cost $250 per hour, despite being told the plow and installation were covered under warranty. I spoke with service rep Joie Mullen, who denied that any warranty applied and refused to assist unless I agreed to pay out of pocket. I went in person the following morning to try to resolve this. Again, I was told nothing would be done unless I paid the $250 per hour diagnostic rate. At this point, I was without my primary work vehicle and had to rely on my brother's accessible van to get to work. I explained that Fisher provides a two-year manufacturer warranty and that, under Massachusetts law, this product should be covered by the implied warranty of merchantability, since it failed to perform its basic function after only a few hours of use. I asked for the issue to be handled properly rather than escalating the matter further. I was dismissed and given no meaningful help. Eventually, I spoke with General Manager Brendon Connolly, who actually listened to what happened. To his credit, he stepped in immediately and said he would take care of the situation and ensure the issue was resolved. Only after the GM intervened did the service manager Jay become cooperative. This should not require escalation to the GM for a brand-new product that failed almost immediately. Even after approval to fix it, the dealership took nearly three weeks to complete the repair. For almost two weeks, there was no progress at all. I had to repeatedly call, text, and show up in person just to get basic updates. During this time, my truck and plow were sitting there unusable, which directly impacted my work. Overall, this experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. If not for the GM stepping in, this would not have been resolved. I will not be doing business with this dealership again and would strongly recommend others be cautious when dealing with their service department.

From the moment I stepped inside, every interaction with the team was professional, courteous, and efficient. Most notably, Derrick Smellie went above and beyond to make the entire process of purchasing my new Genesis GV80 not only easy but enjoyable. Derrick was knowledgeable, transparent, and truly focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience. His approach was consultative rather than pushy, and he took the time to walk me through every step, answer all my questions, and ensure I felt confident in my decision. The process of building and buying the GV80 was seamless from start to finish. The dealership handled everything with a level of organization and clarity that is rare in today's car-buying landscape. No games, no surprises--just excellent service. I would absolutely recommend Genesis of Framingham to anyone in the market for a new vehicle, and without hesitation, I'd suggest asking for Derrick Smellie. He sets the standard for what a luxury car buying experience should feel like.

We even appraised my trade in the deal. I had asked Nick if they would fix the dent in the rear bumper, and if the car could be certified. He said the CPO people are not available on a Sunday. He would check on Monday. On Monday, I was informed the dent would be fixed and that he was waiting on the CPO. On Wednesday morning, I received an email from CarGurus at 5:54 AM that the car was sold! I did not even get a call or notice from the dealership! Since it was before the dealership opened, I texted the dealership. I received a response that someone came in Tuesday and purchased the vehicle. They further told me that the car had an open recall and was not able to be certified?! Shouldn't I have been told this on Sunday by the salesman this piece of information? Its obvious that the sales process has some issues. Someone is not keeping the client or front line people informed. I have called to discuss twice, and not received a reply. I would have expected a higher level of integrity from a Genesis dealership, but maybe not. It is still a car dealership.

I inquired about a "2025" Model Y with 17k+ miles. The price reflects a false narrativ. The car was at the end of 2024, 3 months before the Juniper technology refresh for the Model Y. While technically titled a 2025, it is 2024 technology and battery. I reached out via email, offered a OTD price I was comfortable paying for this car and requested their $995 doc fee bee dropped to Massachusetts average of $500-600 for used dealers. I let them know I was pre approved and ready to move. Right out the gate, they try unsuccessfully to call me and then respond to my email asking me to come in and test drive. Nope! We agree on OTD price, then I test. You want my money, I don't need your car. I ask for the salesperson to address my questions and she comes back with the price is firm, doc prices are what they are and they don't accept outside financing. No backend commission from institution if you bring your own. I responded as follows: "I appreciate your transparency, [salesperson's name]. It's a tough business model: firm price, blind financing and higher than normal dealer fees. Given those parameters, I'm going to continue my search for the right vehicle. I really appreciate your time engaging and wish you the best of luck. Take care!" As of June 12th, that Model Y built in 2024 and titled as a 2025, has been sitting there since the end of March in spite of "lots of interest". I picked up my 2026 on June 4th.

Honestly, if this was the case, it looks like they've made some major changes to their process because my experience this past week was nothing but perfect. We purchased a 2016 Ford Focus from another dealer in January of this year. The car had 16K miles on it and was perfect. Everything was like new and the car drove flawlessly during it's test drive. After a few months, my daughter complained to me about the car "stuttering" as she would take off from a dead stop. I took the car for a ride and experienced it for myself. Needless to say, I was not happy that my almost new car was experiencing transmission problems so early in the game. So I contact the dealer I bought the car from and they proceed to tell me that "it's normal for that transmission to do that" without even taking the car for a ride! I was floored. I then called another dealer close to home who tells me the same thing over the phone without even seeing the car! As you can imagine, I was not happy and actually considered trading in the car! But, how could I do that with a transmission that skipped? A friend of mine at work then told me about Framingham Ford and the good experience he had with them. He also referred me to two other coworkers that bought cars from them as well and we re very satisfied with their service. The best part about it is that they're located literally 10 minutes from work! So I called. My call was forwarded to Dave Vantre in Service. I explained to Dave what was going on and what the other dealers said and he agreed that something is not right with the car. I explained to him that the car is my daughters and she needs tit to commute back and forth to school. He then schedules me for the very next day after a cancellation. I dropped the car off on Monday afternoon, Dave confirmed the warranty and told me it should be ready tomorrow. And as planned, Dave called me to tell me that the car was fixed and that the entire repair was under warranty. He was also kind enough to point out uneven tire wear due to an alignment issue that I approved to repair. Total bill was $89! And the car drives like new with almost no affect on our family schedule. Thank you Dave and Framingham Ford for an absolutely great service experience! I'll be back for sure whenever I need something for the car or my truck!

The inspector at the McGovern state inspection failed the tires even though the Massachusetts minimum is 2/32". The reason given was "All 4 tires below 3/32nd" (see image). Code of Mass Regulations states that a certificate of rejection shall be given if "tread depth gauge reveals less than 2/32 inch of tread depth"...not 3/32 inch. I was then given a quote for new tires and an alignment by McGovern Ford (see image): 2,546.48 - mount + balance 4 TIRES 179.95 - wheel alignment I feel the McGovern inspector intentionally failed the tires in order for McGovern Ford to sell overpriced tires and additional services to me. I went to a different inspection station that understands performance tires and cars 3 days later on May 26. It passed inspection. The inspector there pointed out tread depth is 3/32 and above the tire wear indicators bars. The car (including the tires) passed per RMV 540 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulations), § 4.04 - Procedures for Inspection of Non-commercial Motor Vehicles
