1 Star Review: Outrageous Repair Costs and the Most Unprofessional Staff I Have Ever Encountered My mom has just gone through the worst dealership service experience of her entire life at this Ford service center, and the behavior of service associate Vivien Yehling-Martins has been absolutely shocking. I truly cannot believe Ford allows someone who treats customers like this to represent their brand. My mom brought in her 2019 Ford Edge because the transmission failed at only 68,000 miles. That alone is unacceptable for a car this new. But the nightmare that followed was even worse. Her car has now been sitting in their service department for over a month without a single repair being done. We never once received an update. My mom had to call again and again, some days six or seven times, only to be ignored or told to "call back later." We were treated like we were bothering them simply by asking about the status of a car they've kept for more than thirty days. And then there is Vivien Yehling-Martins. From day one she has been dismissive, rude, and completely unprofessional. When my mom asked simple, reasonable questions like whether the state inspection could be done while the car was already there, Vivien responded with "I have already gone above and beyond for you." This was after doing absolutely nothing for an entire month. But today crossed every line imaginable. When my mom asked again about basic information on her car, Vivien raised her voice at her. She actually got into a screaming match with my mom. My mom was calm the entire time, and still Vivien escalated the situation and yelled. I have never seen a service employee speak to a customer like that. It was humiliating, unnecessary, and beyond unprofessional. The communication has been chaotic. One day we were told the car had been diagnosed. The next day we were told it hadn't. Then we were told a transmission had been ordered. Later we were told they were "still checking." Every single story contradicted the one before it. There was no consistency and no accountability. And then the worst part. The repair estimate suddenly shot up to $14,000. Fourteen thousand dollars. For a car with only 68,000 miles. Not only is that absurd but there was no proper explanation for it. No paperwork we could trust. No breakdown that made sense. Just "That's the cost," according to Vivien. The price increases changed multiple times without any justification, and every attempt to get clarity was met with irritation and attitude. After more than a month, nothing has been repaired. Nothing has been inspected. Nothing has been communicated. Instead my mom was yelled at by the very person who is supposed to help her. This is the most disrespectful and unprofessional experience we have ever had at a dealership. We are now preparing to file complaints with Ford corporate, the BBB, and the state consumer protection office, because no customer should ever be treated this way. We will never return to this dealership. And we strongly recommend that anyone reading this avoid this place entirely. No one deserves to be spoken to the way my mom was spoken to by Vivien Yehling-Martins, and no one deserves to be charged $14,000 for a problem that should never happen to a car this new. read more

Our explorer was under warranty and we needed a part fixed. They scheduled us three times before they got the right parts in, each time we'd have to drop the car only to get a call that they were waiting for more parts to come in so we'd have to pick up our car and schedule another appointment to be fixed. Actually as I'm writing this it's still not fixed so maybe there will be a fourth! If you cherish your sanity try somewhere else!! read more

We bought our brand new Shelby GT 500 from Framingham Ford. Everything went good with the salesperson and the dealership itself. The only thing that we did not like was the fact that they had an additional sticker along side the original window sticker stating " Adjusted Market Price" that added $ 15,000 to the MSRP sticker price. We asked our salesman to go to the manager and see if he would come to his senses as we where not interested in paying that. They did take off the adjusted market price, and we purchased the Shelby Mustang from them!!! read more

So Andy was my sales person and Josh was the manager I spoke with. At first they were wonderful. Charm is their job right? Then my credit score came back, after telling them it wasn't good they wanted nothing to do with me. Andy even said no one would work with me. Maybe his 6 months at ford hasn't afforded him perks or maybe his accountants and managers aren't very knowledgeable. Or maybe they had no faith that a woman who was a single mom for 20 years is finally in a great place financially. Because here I am a week later with a 2018 Ford, one Andy said i couldnt realistically afford. I wish I could gice more then 2 stars but i left there upset, insulted, and heartbroken. If Andy hadn't put up with my multiple visits without a sale I'd only leave 1 star. If he hadn't said no one else would work with me then there'd be more then 2. I will give them props, the fact i walked in alone as a woman was never an issue. And even though their charms didnt work on me, they always showed me respect, until my credit score. So women don't have to worry about Andy or Josh treating them like idiots who need a man in order to buy a car! read more

Overpriced, wanted 500 to replace window motor, initial quote was 138 to repair. The window motor failure is a common issue with the make and model of car, felt a little baited when they charged 125 just to diagnose the issue. Going forward, will likely use them for recalls, but go to a owner operator mechanic for repairs out of pocket. read more

Long ago I bought a 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid at another dealer. After several years, I switched to Framingham Ford for the maintenance. From 2006 through 2016, I traveled a lot for business; so, my car sat a lot (bad for the car). In 2019, it had some issues after quite a lot of years, and Framingham Ford kept the car going, scoured the country for parts, and even gave me a loaner car to use for three weeks---free. The repair bills were less than than the estimates. I finally decided to buy a new car and decided On a 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid; gave Framingham Ford a chance to obtain the car I wanted; so I could buy it from them. They got the car for from another dealer. As it was a 20220, I didn't expect much off MSRP. They gave me some money off and a decent (but not great) price for my trade-in, but I was satisfied. I wanted it done fast and with minimal stress. Having done a lot of business with them, I've seen how they operate. Basically, they do enough to keep me happy. I realize every company is In business to make a profit. They keep my cars running. They are courteous. They don't blatantly rip me off. I'm content to give them my business and recommend them. read more

"Have your husband call us and we will see what kind of deal we can work out for you." I had walked into the dealership on my own, politely told the salesman that I was looking to trade MY Mountaineer in on a new Expedition, and asked all of the right (and sometimes challenging for this particular gentleman) questions. I had done all of the test-driving, inspecting, and sticker-checking. I even had my own title in hand, prepared to sign it over should the right vehicle be sitting on the lot, calling my name. "My husband?" I asked. "Rather presumptuous that I HAVE a husband, but even if I did, what would he have to do with ME buying a car today?" I was appalled. The salesman was too. I that, in 2010, anyone dare to assume buying a car was a "man's job." He that I would dare to think otherwise. After informing him that I was perfectly capable of handling my own car buying venture and receiving no more than a chuckle, I drove away in the very Mountaineer that had brought me there (that only 5 years earlier I purchased BY MYSELF), leaving the $45,000 investment I was willing to make that day sitting on the lot. Beyond an issue of the customer is always right, the customer is always just that, a customer, whether or not you, Mr. Salesman, think they are worthy. There are plenty of dealerships in the MetroWest area. Avoid this one if at all possible. read more

Are some of these reviews planted here? I think so. Because I have never been treated so poorly by a company/establishment who I just handed over $20,000 to. They could have had a multi death lawsuit on their hands by "accidently" drilling holes in my gas tank through the trunk, then emptied out 10 gallons of gas to fix it and denied that I had any gas in the holey tank and refused to reimburse me for it. Gas aint cheap peeps. Their repair manager is a rude jerk. The one regret I have is that I went during the week so the showroom was empty of customers. I should have gone on a weekend and let the consumer be the judge. I do love my car, BUT I will NEVER buy a car from Framingham Ford EVER again. I will go elsewhere. Atrocious. After being rear ended the insurance company sent us here. The experience was a nightmare. They were extremely rude, and after doing the repairs the car had a ton of issues. They botched the paint job, the rear muffler Assembly was still bent, and they didn't put the tire caps back on. I have no idea what the sales department is like, but god help the service dept. read more

I have a 2010 f150 Platinum that I didn't buy ( due to a lack if inventory and sales staff that didn't know anything about the f150s) at Framingham Ford, but wanted to give their service a try since we live close. I called, made an appt for 11am and was told they would done with the oil change shortly. After an hour the truck was still sitting parked. When I went to ask what was going on, they "found" the keys sitting on the service desk but were not sure how it that happened. 10 min pass and they bring the truck into the garage. It was another 5-10 min to get the oil drained. After 1 hour and 45 min, the oil change was done. The two bright spots were they offered to wash the truck and the service desk guy apologized for the wait. On a personal note, it's sad to see a business seem to think 2 hours for an oil change is not an issue. Not one person, other than another customer said anything to me (and he waited 90min for his oil change), the sales guys were lounging in the showroom talking about playing x-box and couldn't wait to get out of there...C'mon guys, learn basic customer service. I would avoid this dealership since they don't seem to care and it shows. read more

Service advisors were polite and flexible but don't ask for a ride. My office is 1.2 miles from dealership and I was told to wait outside driver was leaving now. Well 45 minutes and two phone calls it wasn't until I called Uber did the driver suddenly appear talking on their hand held cell. Poor customer service. read more

I'm not one usually to review car dealers and generally I'm not too excited by what the usual deal is, but this dealership is one of the good guys. I especially like Scot Rodman, who is straightforward in his dealings and lets you know things up or down. This is definitely not the worst car dealership to deal with--Because that spot is held by Volvo Wellesley. :-D I had the pleasure of working with Jerry Feehily in the purchase of my 2013 Ford Focus. I found the process very efficient, friendly and accommodating. There was the normal game-playing when it came to agreeing on a price, but overall it was fair and not overly dramatic. Framingham Ford itself is comfortable and clean and not a bad place to spend some time. Jerry was helpful in reviewing some of the tech features of my super techy car while we waited to sit down with the guy that deals with payment and paperwork and then again when I was actually driving the car off the lot. Overall, my experience at Framingham Ford was quite painless. Which is more than I can say about most car dealers/dealerships. Like Wellesley Volvo. Who are terrible. read more

I leased a 2013 Escape from Fram Ford a couple of years ago. A few years later, I leased a 2016 Escape from Herb Chambers. I recently got an oil change for the 2016 Escape at HC and they didn't reset the Change Oil warning light. I figured I'd drop by FF to have it reset. I entered the Service Dept and saw several service people sitting around. I asked if someone could reset the warning light. The Service Manager said I should go back to the place I got it serviced. I was really surprised. Fixing this problem would have only taken 20 seconds. I realize I didn't purchase this car from FF, but doing this small task for me would have put FF in a very favorable light when it comes time to lease a new car. I dropped my car off there Tuesday night for an appointment at 7am on Wednesday..... they did not give me a call until 4:30 Wednesday night. I had a warranty on my tires, and I hit a POT HOLE(this year has been awful).... So when the person called me he says " We got to look at your car and since you hit a CURB they would not be under warranty".... are you kidding me. I never hit a curb! They were trying not to get it covered. When I talked to him Wednesday night he had not even called the warranty people. So did my car sit there the whole day and no one looked at it. I was furious. Now I am scrambling to find a ride to and from work the next day. AND all they did to fix the tire was to "bang it out", it looks awful! VERY UNHAPPY. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN After being offered a new wheel from the general manager, I still did not feel comfortable bringing my car into the shop again because I feared that they might do something even worst to mess up my car. This is how bad they made me feel. And I realize that this is possibly true based on the response my husband got from them about us bullying them online. I feel that I was the one that was pushed around. This is the 2nd time I had an issue with this dealership and this is why I did not feel comfortable going in for the 3rd time. read more

Before I start my review of Framingham Ford, I'd honestly like to say that I cannot understand all of the negative reviews on their service department. Honestly, if this was the case, it looks like they've made some major changes to their process because my experience this past week was nothing but perfect. We purchased a 2016 Ford Focus from another dealer in January of this year. The car had 16K miles on it and was perfect. Everything was like new and the car drove flawlessly during it's test drive. After a few months, my daughter complained to me about the car "stuttering" as she would take off from a dead stop. I took the car for a ride and experienced it for myself. Needless to say, I was not happy that my almost new car was experiencing transmission problems so early in the game. So I contact the dealer I bought the car from and they proceed to tell me that "it's normal for that transmission to do that" without even taking the car for a ride! I was floored. I then called another dealer close to home who tells me the same thing over the phone without even seeing the car! As you can imagine, I was not happy and actually considered trading in the car! But, how could I do that with a transmission that skipped? A friend of mine at work then told me about Framingham Ford and the good experience he had with them. He also referred me to two other coworkers that bought cars from them as well and we re very satisfied with their service. The best part about it is that they're located literally 10 minutes from work! So I called. My call was forwarded to Dave Vantre in Service. I explained to Dave what was going on and what the other dealers said and he agreed that something is not right with the car. I explained to him that the car is my daughters and she needs tit to commute back and forth to school. He then schedules me for the very next day after a cancellation. I dropped the car off on Monday afternoon, Dave confirmed the warranty and told me it should be ready tomorrow. And as planned, Dave called me to tell me that the car was fixed and that the entire repair was under warranty. He was also kind enough to point out uneven tire wear due to an alignment issue that I approved to repair. Total bill was $89! And the car drives like new with almost no affect on our family schedule. Thank you Dave and Framingham Ford for an absolutely great service experience! I'll be back for sure whenever I need something for the car or my truck! read more

Review is for the sales department (a sales person and the sales manager), minus the $140 diagnostic service charge which should tell you how their service dept works. "Turbo charged is more of a man thing" Really? I thought it was so you could have the power of a 6cyl when you needed it with the fuel efficiency of a 4. But I must not know this or need to be told this because I'm a woman. "Let me explain to you how car value works. What you read online (kbb) is just a paper number, not what we'll pay. *continues on with a lecture on supply/demand*" Then, one day later the amount they were willing to pay for the trade in went up $600 closer to our "paper amount" when they found out we were going elsewhere. Being a woman of course, I don't understand any of this, even with my business degree. Rude, not helpful, and they try to push cars on you that you don't want in an attempt to sell it. Further we test drove a white 2015 fusion which had a loud clunking noise. Pretty sure they didn't check or repair it since most customers won't test drive it with their windows down now in this colder weather. Because our car had an expensive repair the sales dept felt they could push us around. Refused to budge, didn't find a single car that we were looking for, awkwardly gave a carfax report (those papers number of course were right because they showed the dealer's were "below value"). Financing was equally unhelpful and higher than it could be. We went to another dealer, who towed the car from Framingham for free, gave us awesome financing, were very helpful and understanding, and most importantly, the car that we wanted. Very disappointed in their service department. Brought my truck in for an oil change and got it back with a report that all is good. and 2 days later the check engine light and truck ran like shit. I had it towed to them since they have been servicing my vehicles since nice around 2005. They were busy and I waited a few days for them to look at it. They called me told me that the truck needed an engine. A 6000 to 8000 repair. I asked if there was another alternative and Jim Foley said no. The car needs an engine and it's too old to put money into it. I then said I would have it towed to a mechanic in Newton that my work uses. I had to leave work and list half days pay. The mechanic I brought it to repaired it for $147.05. Solenoid valve was stuck open. They cleaned it. Changed the oil again. Been running great for the last week. I spoke to the service manger and he was to get back to me the next day. I had to call back. He never called me. He was disappointed and said they made a mistake. I asked for my money back for the original oil change. He offered me an oil change next time. We may or may not use it. They are close to us. We have owned fords and Lincoln's for over 30 years. I can't believe I was treated like this. Too bad. I trusted them. So it's been almost a year. The Navigator is running great. Just came back from Tennessee and not an issue. Gotta love how the manager said that they were preparing me for worse case scenario. BS Jim Foley told me the truck needed an engine and there is nothing they could do to repair the original engine. This review is only for the sales department. My wife and I went there on Sunday 1/5/14 in hopes to land a good deal on a Ford Fusion. As we pulled into the parking lot, we see the eyes of two sales guys perk up and before we knew it, as we were walking to the entrance we can see them at the window waiting for a kill. When we walked inside however, we were greeted by a third sales guy - Jerry. Older gentleman who brought us over to a set of tables (by the snack and coffee station...) to chat. First of all, where the heck are the desks? Every car dealership I've ever been to has several desks dedicated to each sales person, but we were sitting in round tables by the freaking coffee maker. How weird... We tell Jerry what we want and the next thing we know we're putting our coats back on to see what's on the lot. Wait....how come you're not checking the computer system to see what you have on the lot? And NO, I don't want to buy something similar. We were looking for a specific color with specific options (new car) and we already knew it was hard to find in the area. After we wasted time poking around the lot, we went back inside and told Jerry what we wanted. We also told him that we learned there was a similar car in Rockville, CT that Acton Ford was considering transporting over for us (our deal with them fell through when they gave us a bad trade-in value for our cars). So at this point, Jerry had two things to do - see if he can get us the car from Rockville, CT and if not, see if he could build a car for us. Both of those tasks, for whatever reason, he had to check with his manager who was currently dealing with an irate customer (apparently she had purchased a new Fusion Energi and didn't like the lack of power going uphill....whatever...). We sat there, twiddling our thumbs while Jerry sat there quietly. Very uncomfortable. I tried sparking some playoff football convo but it only lasted so long. Jerry did some pacing around and my wife and I just looked at each other in amazement. The clock kept ticking and we're wasting our time on a Sunday afternoon. I decided to ask Jerry about any special dealership rebates and I must have asked the wrong question because he looked insulted and asked me, "What rebates? We don't have any rebates." I said, "Well Acton Ford mentioned a couple of rebates, like $500 or $1000 + Ford financing". To that he responded, "Never heard of that. Are they Ford rebates? I mean, we have Ford rebates. Well...are you a college grad? Are you in the military? We have those and some other special rebates if you qualify" and his tone the whole time was along the lines of, "What the f*ck are you asking about kid...." I guess you had to have been there to understand because my wife was pretty offended by his tone too. And at that point, I think we were done. We sat there for a little longer as he continued to claim that only his manager can decide whether they want to bring over the car from Rockville, CT or custom order a car for us. And we just didn't like sitting there out in the open (and not behind a desk). So we told Jerry that we didn't want to waste anymore time. We claimed we'd be back tomorrow but that was just our way out. We immediately drove over to Herb Chambers Ford in Westborough and a couple of hours later, we put down a deposit on a custom order 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid. And just to compare the two dealerships, Framingham Ford was a ghost town. No customers were around and to those that know the area know how busy it can get on Route 9. Herb Chambers was packed. They had desks for us to sit at. Their initial trade in value was low but they did eventually raise it (a little) and they had no issue custom building a Fusion for us. read more

I brought my F-150 in on a Monday morning to see if the could look at why it was leaking oil. They said the could not get me in till the following Tuesday.(over a week away.) I said it was leaking oil and did not want to damage the engine, h they said I could leave and rent a car for the week. Seeing how the truck is still under warranty with only 2300 miles on it I hoped they could at least look at it. they said no. I took it to Muzi Ford and the not only looked at it they repaired it in less than an hour, with no charge because Ford knew of this problem.. I will never go to or tell anyone I know to go there.. STAY FAR AWAY when buying, but bring all your Fords and Lincolns here for service 0 Stars for the Sales Department and 5 stars for the Service Department (always excellent and truthful). I received a quote on an Explorer. During the negotiation when they increased the loan amount by 12 months, they MORE than DOUBLED the interest rate when calculating the payments. After a lot of back and forth, I decided to go in one last time to test drive before signing. At this point, they then told me that the payment period that THEY had WRITTEN down on their offer sheet and multiple emails where they recalculated numbers told to me wrong (on multiple occasions and multiple methods of communication). It was actually 3 months LONGER. They lured me in with a completely FALSE mass email about 0% interest for 72 months with no exceptions noted, and then told me it didn't apply to 2017 vehicles once I was in there. Don't trust any emails they send or any offers they may give. Plain and simple thieves that give car salesmen a bad name. I wouldn't buy my son's matchbox cars from here. read more

Mike Joyce and Samantha Reitz were excellent. Keep up the great work! I belong to Costco which has an auto buying discount program- usually you save about 5-6% below MSRP. Costco referred me to McGovern, and I quickly received an auto email from Ben Muenzberg- the manager at McGovern. I responded asking if they are participating in the Costco program. I received an email back confirming they are participating. I asked if I could order the car (custom new build) over the phone and they said no it had to be done in person. I drove almost an hour to their showroom and started pricing out the car (with a very nice salesperson). After we were done he went to his manager (or someone) and came back and said they no longer do Costco pricing but could maybe give me about $1000 off. With Costco (you can price this outline on their website yourself) the discount should have been about $4500. Bait and switch. I have contacted Costco as well so they stop referring business to McGovern. read more

My husband bought an F150 truck here about a year ago. We love the truck. The sales team worked with us to figure out the best price and did a comparative analysis between buying and leasing. They were patient and not pushy which is rare for a car dealership. The other day we took it in for an oil change, tire rotation and 12k mile checkup. Service was fast and the truck came back sparkling. While we waited, everyone there was friendly and made us feel comfortable - aka free coffee and snacks! (Good snacks, too). Overall, it's been good experience after good experience at this dealership. I am surprised to see some of the tough reviews on here. I will certainly be back for both service and future purchases. Can't say there are many car dealerships I would recommend, but this one is a strong exception! read more

Fast diagnostic, complete transparency with issues and necessary repairs, expert advise from both service advisor and technician, timely repair, and the best part - honest pricing. Have been doing business with this dealership for over 10 years. 3 vehicles later I continue to work with the same sales person, the same service advisor, and the same technician. On 10/7/2011 I collected my car from the Framingham Ford Body shop after a body work to fix a small dent and some other minor issues. When I got the car back I noticed a 2 inch long deep scratch on the passenger side of the door. The scratch was not there when I gave the car there for repair. This scratch was standing out very conspicuously on my well maintained Black Mustang. Since I collected the car after the body shop was closed on a Friday evening, I had to wait till the first working day next week to talk to them about this. When I called the following week (I think it was a long weekend so probably a Tuesday), they asked me to bring the car in for them to take a look. Since they are open only between 8am and 5 pm. I had to get off work early to bring the car in. The body shop advisor there took a look at the car and he said he would have to talk to his manager before he can get back to me. He promised to call back the next day at a certain time. Next day when I didn't get a call back, I called them. I talked to the manager, who told me to bring the car in any day and they would take care of it for me within 15 mins. I took the car in again on 11/25/2011 at 2:45 pm. When the body shop advisor there saw me, he exclaimed "You are back , Again!" . I explained to him my conversation with his manager. He then informed me that they were closing early for thanksgiving so I would have to come back the following Monday morning. Since I work far from home, I had to go in late on Monday to get the car fixed. So anyway, I bring the car in again on 11/28/2011 morning. The body shop advisor takes my keys and asks me to wait in the lobby. After about 30 mins when I come back to check if my car is done, I see the car outside with the scratch still on it. I walk in and ask the body shop advisor why the scratch was still there. He explains to me that to fix it they would have to grind the door down and repaint it (which is very expensive). So I would have to settle for touch up work (which I could had done myself). I spent $1000 on the repair work ( in addition to about $250 on rental car during the repair ) only to be handed back a car with a deep scratch, that would be even more expensive to fix. Framingham Ford did a great job fixing my car (I went in because of a recall), but I was disappointed that they tried to sell me an alignment on my car, for 100 bucks, without even being able to give me a print out of how out of alignment my car was. The technician said " oh we do it based on the ware of your tires", " We don't give out reading from the machine". I felt like I was trying to be swindled into buying something I may or may not needed. So I contacted Sullivan Tire, and to my surprise they said they could give me a full read out for FREE! And from there they could explain multiple options with me to have it fixed IF NEEDED. AND when I when I went to Framingham Ford to pick up my car I was explaining this to the women at the front desk and her response to me was..." Oh I don't know, I wish I knew more about cars"..... I would think if she works at a dealership she should know about cars, I guess that is just my opinion. read more

It's not the cars, the trucks, the atmosphere, it's one guy. The sales person who helped us today was great...(Joe). We were looking for a second truck, no big deal, for our business. We were working with the guy trying to come to an in-between figure ( like you do when you are negotiating the price of a vehicle ). All of a sudden, a man came out of his office rude, yelling, and quite frankly completely out of line at us, his costumers..... he was offended by a $21,000 dollar offer on a 3 year old used truck?? For the service area, it always takes forever, I don't know if it is a lack of communication between the mechanics and customer service but if you go in for one simple thing you'll be there for about 2 hours.... Go somewhere else if you care about how long you spend waiting. read more

Carefully zip-locked my bag of coins in the center console before dropping it off for service, wide open when I picked it up. I'll have a hard time recommending this dealership to others, but then again one bad apple may not say much about management. read more

My Ford wouldn't start, so with 3,000 miles on the odometer, they push it into the service bay using another car. Seriously?! I now have scratches all over my new bumper! They change out my fuel pump, put it back together, and now I leak fuel out the fuel fuller tube gasket. Great job guys. At least you got the car running, now I have other issues to contend with that you created. =p read more
