I've been with Train With Dave since they started a few years ago when they were sharing space in a…read moresmall private gym in Orange on Tustin Street. My GF at the time and I met personally with Dave for the initial sales meeting and never felt pressured or a hard sell, and because I had lifting experience in the past I could tell Dave and his trainers knew what they were talking about. Gio has been my trainer the entire time and he has been a fantastic instructor, form checker, nutrition planner, and all-around gym buddy. He helped me do a body recomposition and put on muscle while dropping fat and now I have a body that's stronger, less jiggly, more defined, and makes a lot of the girls I meet go "Wow!" If I followed Gio's advice and nutritional plans more strictly I'd likely look even better but I'm a bit too much of a hedonist. The scheduling for work outs is extremely flexible, you'll likely be able to get a trainer with an open spot, and Dave is consistently hiring more trainers. There's a new guy nicknamed Thor here at the Irvine location who really knows his stuff, he's a former Marine who focused more on raw strength lifting so if you're into the powerlifting side he might be the guy for you. All the trainers I've met have been extremely friendly and eager to help you achieve your goals. Jacob sometimes covers me when I have to come in when Gio's not available and he's a like a personal cheerleader with how positive he is when spotting you. Regardless of whether you're a complete newbie to lifting or an experienced lifter who just wants a work out buddy and person to keep you accountable you'll have a great experience at Train With Dave.

But I've been training with Priscilla since March and the progress I've seen is incredible! I told her that I had specific aesthetic goals for myself and was worried about my arms getting too big and I'm so happy to know she listened and I love SO amazing 4 months later. I see her 3x a week, so I get a little discount per month which is a great incentive to stay disciplined! She is so great about making sure I'm activating the correct muscles, building good mind to body connections, and honing in on good form before moving up in weights or difficulty. I really appreciate that she pushes me to perform to the best of my ability at the gym and I look forward so much to training now! Of course it comes down to how disciplined you're willing to be and how much time you're willing to put into the gym, but the investment you make now will be priceless when you're older. I tell him if I'm training for a half marathon or Spartan race, and he'll cater the workouts to what's needed. The physical gym is great because it's not too busy at certain times, so it's perfect for all backgrounds of training. They also offer massages, cupping, saunas and cold plunges.
