I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment waited 20 mins was told I would have another wax person since my schedule person was not timely, waited another 10 mins and she didn't show. Had to reschedule my appt for another day. Poor communication and customer service. I would not recommend this center!! Go to Toms River or Wall. read more

I have been waxing at EWCs for over 9 years and this site is by far the most professional and provides the best service of all of the EWC sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful, I had a family emergency and missed my appointment and they were very kind and compassionate. I'll give them two stars because the wax was complimentary, but I definitely wouldn't go back. The woman applied the wax multiple times and pulled it off so slowly. She then plucked hairs and yet when I got home I still found several hairs that were missed and I had to pluck out myself. And my underarms still felt so sticky afterwards. They're way overpriced (if I had paid) and I've had a much better experience elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks. read more

Before my wedding day, I came here for my first wax, and I had such a great experience that I've become a regular! I was definitely nervous before going in - the process can be more than a little awkward, especially if you're body-conscious like I am. Having read the reviews for this location prior to booking my appointment, I decided to request Linda. And I'm so glad I did, because she put me at ease almost instantly. She is a total pro, and her easy conversation almost makes me forget that I'm there for a wax. She works very efficiently (I'm in and out in less than 20 minutes for a Brazilian and underarm treatment), and she is friendly and funny to boot. I can't recommend her enough! Additionally, the receptionists are pleasant, the space always feels clean, and even though the employees recommend the products, they aren't pushy. Rudest employees/managerial staff ever. Their waxers are usually nice, but multiple times I have asked them to not pick at my skin or use a certain product on me, mind you I was clearly going to pay the same either way, so if I don't want plucking one day I'm entitled to that as the customer. It's overpriced for a wax, a typical lip and eyebrow wax for both is about 11-13 dollars, this is probably more than double- if I recall correctly. Not to mention, appointments mean nothing. They'll keep you sitting/waiting there for so long even if you have an appointment. read more

Clean, clean, clean. Waxing does not hurt. Staff is great. Some technicians better than others but that may be my taste. Sydney is great. I can't believe I would lay down on dirty towels in the nail salons and let nail technicians put scalding hot wax on my face then take my eyebrows down to nothing. European Wax is a totally different experience. A little pricey but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

Been coming to EWC for years but recently moved to Brick and was hesitant about having to start over with a new person. I read the reviews and they all mentioned Linda so I booked an appointment with her. After not having been waxed in a few months I knew it was gonna hurt more than usual and especially with my dry, ashy winter skin. Linda was amazing. She kept my mind occupied with great conversation, suggestions on skin care and telling me about the area since I'm new. Surprisingly it was virtually painless considering it's been a while. The girl at the front desk was also very pleasant and she too gave me some good suggestions on places in the area as well as the skin care items Linda suggested. I decided to purchase the wax package almost 6 months ago and I've been going every four weeks since. I see Linda when I visit and all I can say is she is AMAZING. From day one up until tonight I have nothing bad to say. She's super easy going, confident in her services and I know when I go I'll always have a great conversation with her. I actually look forward to seeing her. She'll educate you not only on the hair growth process, products and perks of rebooking your next appointment to get points. Went for my first ever bikini wax and have been twice in total. The girl on the phone when I made the appointment was super helpful and made me feel at ease. I had an appointment with Lisa, and she was chatting with me the entire time which made me feel very relaxed in a rather awkward situation. She did a great job both times and I'm going back to her in a couple weeks. The waxing method used is also great - no strips of paper - the wax itself peels right off you. In addition, all the girls at the desk that I've encountered are sweet, friendly, helpful and professional. read more

At first, I continued to go here because it was fine. Nothing outrageously great for the money (they are generally expensive, I think, but figured it was a convenient location). A few times I have little straggler hairs that I have to go home and pluck (normally I get eyebrows/lip). However, this last time I went, I felt the girl just ripping and ripping over and over again on my lip. I asked what the issue was when she started plucking like crazy and she claimed that the wax wouldn't hold and didn't know why. Uh...? Never had this issue before but she charged me and I had just as much hair on my lip as I did before going! I called in to complain and didn't receive a response. I tried contacting for a refund to the corporate place and got an automated "someone will reach out to you from the location" type of email and didn't get a call for over a week and a half. Are you kidding? The girls up front are overly chatty when you're sitting in the waiting area and discuss inappropriate things for someplace meaning to be professional. read more

I went for my first wax, a Brazilian, December 8th. Corinne did it and she was/is awesome!! She's super sweet and definitely helped me relax a bit because I was super nervous. I've now been there three times.... Besides the Brazilian I've also started doing my underarms... All with Corinne. I live in Toms River & specifically drive out of my way passing the Toms River location just to go to the Brick Plaza to visit the best of the best so make sure you always ask for Mallory!!!! The Brick location is friendly & very clean, the receptionists have always been super helpful with scheduling, reminders & texts to help on top of me using the app. Now that we've all suffered during closures from COVID I couldn't wait to get back into my routine. I already had my first visit back with Mallory of course! Brick took extra care to make sure each client was safe with clear partitions by the receptionists & marks of 6ft for distance on the floors. Now that we are all wearing masks Mallory made sure I was comfortable & the air temp was perfect so I wouldn't be anxious hot or uncomfortable during my services!
