Grace the "manager" needs training herself in customer service. She was rude and had an attitude as soon as I began asking questions about a new policy they were trying to implement. 3 additional clients walked in after me and were also treated rudely by Grace all said they would be canceling there memberships after coming for years. Grace didn't care. She was just on her laptop trying to prove that she was right and everyone around her was wrong. I have been traveling from a different city for a few years just to come to this location because everyone has always been cheerful and friendly. After encountering Grace I may need to take my business elsewhere just like the rest of the clients that Grace pissed off during my visit. After her rudeness Grace still had the nerve to ask if I wanted to renew my membership? I will not renew my membership if I will have deal with Grace's attitude during my visits. read more

So I went with my wife to the European Wax Center for waxing appointment and I ended up getting waxed as well lol and it wasn't planed. My experience was nothing but positive. The staff was very friendly and professional, and they took the time to make sure I was comfortable. They use a hard wax and it's supposed to be less painful than the soft wax I've tried at other places but it still hurt like hell I would highly recommend European Wax Center to anyone looking for a great waxing experience. I came to EWC a couple weeks ago because I couldn't find a sugaring place ANYWHERE in Fresno and at the time i was getting desperate. Alas, I settled on this place. My esthetician was Lauren and she was real sweet and tried to make me feel comfortable about using wax but I was still sooooo nervous. Also as a first time guest I got %50 off my wax which was nice. Overall I still enjoy sugaring better because the hair doesn't grow back as fast. With this wax the hair is already growing back after less than 2 weeks and it's way more expensive. read more

Needed a last minute wax before I go out of town. They reassured me over the phone they could squeeze me in. I was running late and told them over the phone, they said it was fine as long as I arrived by 7:39 pm. I must've opened the door at 7:40 pm because one of the front desk people was extremely rude while the other went to "check on the wax specialist" to see if I could be squeezed in. They have a 9 minute grace policy, which I understand. However, they knew I was 2 minutes away when I called. They could've saved me the trouble of looking for parking and running in. I am extremely disappointed and sad that I won't return to my usual wax specialist Emma. If you can't take a last minute appointment, please let your guests know. If you have a 9 minute late policy and your guest tells you they're 2 minutes away and you're in front of a clock, please let your guests know whether you are going to reject them the moment they walk in the door. Save us all some time. Edit: there were two other clients waiting when I arrived. I find it hard to believe they could've given me a last minute appointment this close to 8 pm and I'm starting the think they realized their scheduling mistake by the time I got there. Lauren. Hands down Lauren. She's the best. I've been going to EWC's for over 7 years throughout the country and she is AMAZING. Not only is she fast/efficient but she's extremely thorough. EWC has a 5 day grace period to come back and get a touch up done and not once have I had to do that with Lauren. She is extremely friendly, easy to talk to and that makes the wax go by quickly especially if you have multiple services done. I had a VERY disappointing visit today. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the person giving me my treatments because I couldn't get out of that place fast enough. I'm a plus size gal, but really don't appreciate being reminded of this during an appointment. I'm fine with the wax specialist giving suggestions on positions to better provide services (Brazilian, bikini, etc). But today, I received several comments about my size and then the one that really hurt was when she told me "you have a REALLY big booty!" I tried to laugh it off and agree with her and pretend it didn't sting, but the way she said it really upset me. I thought it was completely unprofessional. I thought that I would leave my appointment feeling beautiful, sexy and ready for a vacation. Instead, I left feeling hurt, ugly and wanting to hide in a hole and never come out. Got home and she missed SO MANY places. I completely wasted major $$ and feel like I need to get waxed again so I don't look so patchy. Ugh. To make matters worse, the lady at the front desk didn't know what she was doing. It took her forever to figure out how much the travel size product pack was (they are sold out of all normal size products. ALL. OF. THEM.) She then overcharged me by not applying one of my wax passes. I even asked her if the total was correct and if she used my passes. She said yes. After that she didn't give me a receipt or bag for my purchase and then didn't get me on the schedule for another appointment like I asked. By then I was so upset and irritated I just left. I had been a loyal customer to a EWC in another town for years. I don't think I'll be able to go back to this location again. Here's hoping the Fresno location is better. UPDATE: The owner contacted me and refunded me for one of my services (Brazilian) and said that action would be taken with the specialist who worked with me. They assured me I would not have this person again. I likely won't go back to this location as I would rather not put myself in an awkward position. They did try to make it as right as they could which I appreciate. read more

This morning was my first time getting a Brazilian (or any wax for that matter) and after countless horror stories, to say I was terrified would be an understatement! But CIARA.... She was awsome, completely walked me through the entire process and explained everything to me so I knew exactly what was happening! She helped me through the awkward moments that come with a first time and made it go by so fast! NOW- I am in no way saying that it was a pain free experience because.... HELLO- but it was no where near what I was dreading and with her distracting me, making me laugh and fully preparing me- it was surprisingly not too bad. Quick, the pain was over fast and the results were great! (Already made my next appointment!) As for the upfront staff- contacless check in was fast, the facility was extremely clean, the upfront desk women were so nice and helpful! So first time ever waxing anything, let alone the Brazilian, I was so freakin nervous. But walking into the center, all 3 of the front desk ladies were EXTREMELY kind and comforting, yet professional. It definitely put me at ease. Tiffany was my esthetician, she was AWESOME! She was talking me through the whole process, lent me an arm when I needed reassurance, and was so so SO kind. She even recommended me some after care products which are definitely helping! Dear Assistant Manager Melissa and Owner Vishal Sharma Your location in Clovis has the tendency to not serve their valued customers and provide adept services. It was a simple process when purchasing a package deal but when you were unable to provide the services any longer, you made it so difficult to refund the money you have taken. It is not my fault that you can no longer provide the services you promised me. Therefore it is the correct thing to do is provide me my full refund and I am upset at how you have dealt with me. I was a pleasant and respectful customer, never have I ever thought that you would disrespect me in this manner. The last person I spoke with informed me I could not receive a refund but only get store credit?! This does not make any sense, what products or services could I possible purchase from this business that would even amount to $500? It is not my fault you could no longer provide me services. I have called 8 times in over the past 2 months and have been told their is no manager on staff and that owner is hardly ever there. I have spoken to many staff members and finally was able to meet with their assistant manager Melissa. With each phone call conversation I was told I should expect a called back or be followed up by the owner Vishal for my full refund. Unfortunately it has been 2 months and I still have not received a call or my money. I was a patient person and I understand that COViD may play a factor into reaching out to their customers. However, I have lost my patience and trust in their staff because it seems none of them has been able to confirm any appointments, given me any guarantees for a follow up, or provided me with a clear answer when I will receive a call or my refund. read more

Decided to go in for a wax with it being my first time, I was obviously nervous but walking in the room I was instantly regretting it. The rooms are too bright, the table was so uncomfortable and I had no cover. I know with wax it has to be warm but it was too hot for my skin. Of course a Brazilian is not pain-free by any means, but the quicker it's done, the better. I booked with Karina per the reviews and she is AMAZING! The reason for my review is " after I walked in a lady was just coming out getting ready to pay the two girls at the counter flagged me over and out of politeness I said she can go first and go ahead and pay. While the lady was paying the girl in the middle proceeds to scold me and tell me why she was calling me over in the importance of getting checked in little does she know I was checking in on the app already. I don't appreciate being spoken to you that way or being scolded like a child she could've handled it completely different and for this reason I will no longer be going to this location it's unfortunate for Sam because she's a really good worker and is very personable! After speaking with an assistant manager I can tell that she was not on my side but that's OK it's all part of the business I'm not trying to be a Karen but I really left this appointment very frustrated and very upset. Audrey really did it this morning! The most comfortable armpit wax I've ever had. In the past, at other places, my armpit waxes felt labor intensive. But Audrey knocked out my pits with one to two pulls of wax. And it was basically painless.
