I question, "Is your mom here?" as I stand by the front door, feeling like maybe a news crew may suddenly materialize as I stand aghast, like a scene from "To Catch a Predator". I hear Naheed talking on the phone. She peeps her head out momentarily & disappears around the corner - not before motioning me to follow along. She gestures me to sit in a room with a chair. 12 minutes & $8 dollars later, I'm all done. She talked on the phone with her sister the entire time with the phone tucked under my headrest on speakerphone. As my eyes watered & I cursed to myself, "Mother bitch!" with the pain, I was slightly annoyed. Eh, I'm fine with it, now. But then again, I'm a medical student with some bushy Hermione Granger brows with a budget to keep. Anything looks better than my current situation. So, check out my photos.
