I was burned for the final time at this location. I've been coming here for years and things were really good when Lorna was the manager and when she was a wax specialist. Over the last few months, though, I have been consistently burned. The first occasion I actually called and complained to which they told me that waxer had since been fired. It had been less than a week, but okay. They said they'd put a note on my account to keep the wax temperature lower. I have to say, I went with Ashley after this and she is great. She is probably the best waxer at this location. She's nice to talk to and is no BS. She knows what she's doing. Unfortunately her schedule doesn't really work with mine so I've booked with whoever is available. Pretty unfortunate I'd say because I continue to get burned but this last time was really bad. Thankfully I'm not scarred but my skin was not just red, but was peeling from the temperature of the wax. Before it started peeling it was flakey, which was pretty scary. I texted the center asking for a call from the manager. She did call but I missed it- when I followed up via text she never answered. That just shows the kind of managerial staff is hired here and how the leadership trickles down to the waxers. I have been in a management position in a gym before and I would continue to follow up if I didn't hear back from someone who got hurt or injured. I have since cancelled future appointments at this location. I would have asked for a refund on my wax pass but I never even got the chance to ask. When you spend over $500 on a package, you should be getting quality service... or at least a call back/ follow up text. BTW, she gave me her personal cell phone number to call and never answered. When I called a different location and let them know I need the wax temperature lower, they said that it's standard procedure not to keep it too hot and were shocked at what I told them. Thankfully I can use the wax pass at any location, which is exactly where I'm taking my business, somewhere other than the Plainview location. read more

Every girl has head it before, "this wax is the best" "it won't hurt that much because the wax is so awesome", and every time they are lying. Brazilians hurts like hell. But after looking online (because I was in the area) I found European Wax Center and it had good reviews. So I did the whole thang. I was a new client, there was a great special, (%50 off your first Brazilian!) and then all I had to do was wait for my specialist. Ali came out, great energy and smile, and took me back to the room. And again there was the "this is great wax" conversation. Like always I nodded and smiled knowing full well that I was still going to want to die from how painful it was going to be, BUT then she started. She explained everything to me and I literally had to look down just to make sure she was even doing it! I mean of course there were a few small ouch moments, how could there not be, but I was blown away that for the first time in my life they weren't lying. Went for a full face wax a few days ago and walked out with a burn very close to my eye - with hair still present on my face as you can see in picture uploaded. So not only did she burn me and try to reassure me it was just redness and would go away but she failed to do what I had paid for. I paid $60 for a horrible job and a red burn near my eye and a rash above my lip. The burn is better than the day after now but still hurts when I was it. I am very disappointed with this service and would never ever go back to this "professional salon." First and last time. I would give 0 stars if I could. The least they could do is refund me my money for this terrible service. Update: Franny, the manager, reached out to me and tried to resolve the situation. Probably secondary to pregnancy, but I have yet to experience that traumatizing... I mean... amazing event in my life. So letting someone put hot wax on "it", to rip out my hair from the roots while staring at my nether regions seems like the worst possible experience EVER.... I've never ever been disappointed during my visits here. I've been to a few other locations but this one takes the crown each time. I don't have a waxer that I see every time I go so I can speak regarding basically the entire staff. They're all very sweet and are very attentive to your specific needs. They always try to make you feel as comfortable as possible and they don't try to gang up on you to buy any of their products (but if you haven't tried the serum or exfoliating body wash/ exfoliating scrub- you really should give those products a try :p)! I've been here twice so far (and will keep coming back!) My specialist is Samantha and she's amazing! She's friendly, great conversationalist and makes sure that you're comfortable before she gets started. I go for the brazilian waxing. The first time definitely hurt like you just got hit by car. (JUST KIDDING) It was definitely painful, but tolerable. Just clench your fists together and close your eyes.. before you know it, it's done! And just like everyone says, the second time is totally less painful! (and not as much hair grows back once you start waxing) I HATE shaving! It's tedious, annoying, sometimes dangerous! I schedule my appointment every four weeks and I never have to worry about shaving the bikini area again! Phew, what a relief! Also, you do have to undress while your specialist is in the room. I know that can be an uncomfortable experience with a stranger there.. but hey! We're all grown women so it will be okay :) The staff are all super friendly, which is amazing. After a 3 month recovery from the dreaded horrible wax job I received at my local nail salon, my brows needed some serious TLC! So I decided to go to European. I was greeted by a very nice receptionist. A lot of the time when you walk in to an place of beauty, in my experience the receptionist is always bratty and stuck up. That was not the case this time! I was drawn in by the "First Wax is Free!" Gimmick. The receptionists are always nice and the office and wax rooms are clean. The first waxer was really nice but wasn't available when I rescheduled my appointment. The current waxer however, I feel really understands my style and what I'm looking for. I've been going to her for a few months now and I couldn't be happier. I've tried a few of the recommended products and for the price probably won't try them again but well worth trying out. Getting a Brazilian is no cake walk and it's also on the pricey side. When I'm getting waxed obviously good service is a plus, but doing a thorough job is what matters. No one wants to go through the pain and spend that much money and go home and find out that spots were missed (& repluck). However, Gia did an amazing job at getting EVERYTHING PAINLESSLY. I saw this place on yelp, and since they offer 1/2 off for first-time customers, I decided to give them a shot. I made an appointment and showed up 5 minutes early, and was seen right on time with no wait, which is awesome especially since I went on a Saturday. My waxer was Tiffany. She did a great job on my Brazilian wax; the pain was minimal and she was thorough and left no patches... HOWEVER, there were a couple of things that really bugged me. First off, when I have gotten a wax in the past, I am shown to my room, given a paper dress or cover, and asked to disrobe from the waist down and then the waxer leaves me alone in the room while I get undressed. This was not the case - Tiffany stayed in the room with me while I undressed and got on the table. I know she's going to see all my bits in a minute anyways, but she could have spared me the awkwardness of watching the taking-my-pants-off dance. But whatever. The worst part was that she talked the whole effing time. NONSTOP. About herself, and her family, and her sister, and her sister's vagina waxing habits, and her kid, and everything else. I peppered in a few lines but barely got a word in, not even enough to be able to tell her to please stop talking. I'm not saying she needs to be silent, but this isn't coffee with friends lady, you're waxing my netherparts, we're not homies. All in all, I left happy with the waxing job, but would prefer a little bit more professionalism from the waxer. I saw Niki for a Brazilian. She was great at making you feel at ease & distracting you from a somewhat uncomfortable situation! No double dipping and their wax is all natural and very gentle, great for sensitive skin. They offer packages deals which ends up saving you money. You also accumulate points which works to save you money like a coupon. I've also been using their ingrown prevention serum and body lotion. i went for a Brazilian for the first time and had my appointment with Marisol. After I told her it was my first time getting a Brazilian I felt she thought it was okay to do the bare minimum. The overall wax was quick but I still had a few hairs here and there which she didnt pluck out w the tweezers. Also at the end I had powder all. over. me. Which she didn't even clean. I had to ask her for a tissue which didn't do the job in getting the powder off of me, I didn't know how to get it off and I was too shy to ask since it was also my first time getting a Brazilian so i thought that was how it was suppose to be ? She was also rushing me to get out of the room which made me feel uncomfortable. So i dressed and left, this is where it got worse. I drove home and when i got up from my seat i see the powder got all over my car seat (since it clearly wasn't all wiped off) and when i got home i saw my favorite undies had the powder all over. It was just a big mess and i'm so disappointed with my first time at EWC. I wish Marisol could have been more patient and gave me the right tools to wipe all the powder off instead of it creating a mess like it did. read more
