Honestly the stoneham location's receptionist are always so rude.... I could name off 5 examples of times they have been rude of the phone. It always sounds like a younger girl that is just miserable being there. If the waxers themselves weren't as great as they are, I would absolutely avoid this location! I went to call because for my appointment that got canceled yesterday and the receptionist at the stoneham one was rude. It ruined my morning with the tone and attitude. There was no need when your store was the one that closed and all I was seeing was your available appointments. read more

The staff is very friendly, they offer a 9 minute grace period if you are running late to your appointment and easily accommodate you if it's longer than that. I've had two waxes so far and the results have been amazing read more

This was the most uncomfortable wax I've ever experienced. I've gone to other EWC locations for years so just moving to the area I booked an appointment for a Brazilian and upper leg at this location with Amanda. I was 8 minutes late which I felt really bad about. I called on my way and let them know and would have completely understood if they told me they couldn't take me (which I honestly wish they did). I walked in and apologized multiple times Amanda ignored me, didn't introduce herself and told me to take my underwear off and get on the table. She was obviously angry and waxed in silence the whole time. She was really aggressive the whole thing was terrible. When she finished the front she told me to flip onto my stomach, I'm SEVEN MONTHS PREGNANT and it's obvious. I told her I couldn't lay on my stomach (couldn't believe I had to even say that) and asked if I could lay on me side to which she responded "I mean, we can try". What??? Never going back here and since it's the local location I guess that ends my relationship with EWC. read more

I've been coming here for years, I love all the waxxers here but my go-to waxxer is Amanda Oh my god she's so funny and makes you feel super comfortable you almost forget you're getting waxed! Does a great wax but for a very steep price. The facility is very clean and there are many rooms. Appointments are not mandatory but they always fill up so there's nearly never any room for walk ins. The women at the front desk are very nice. They do sell some products upfront that the employees make you feel as thought you need to buy in order to have a good wax but they are overpriced and not effective. read more

This location is clean and my service is always quick. I usually visit Tasha and she's great. Always does a wonderful job, provides tips for skincare, and actually cares about getting good results. I had such a good experience here! About 6 weeks ago I had a pretty bad experience getting my eyebrows waxed at a nail salon, so I thought it best to go to a professional waxing center. The staff was very amiable, the woman (sad I can't remember her name!) who waxed my eyebrows was very kind and made sure to tell me everything she was using on my skin. It was (relatively) painless, and the women struck up conversation to help ease my anxiety. On top of all this, it was my first time, so it was free. Definitely going back! read more

I just have to say that I love Stephanie! I've been to about 5 EWCs. I used to go to Saugus years ago when I lived near there, and always bought a wax package because I really liked the girl I went to. Then I was sort of in and out of EWCs, never really finding someone I liked enough to buy a package from and see regularly. Well, Stephanie convinced me after my first bikini with her. She did a great job, made sure I was comfortable and kept me distracted throughout the not so pleasant experience of having a stranger wax your bikini line! I bought a bikini package, an eyebrow package, and now an armpit package. My eyebrows look amazing and Stephanie gave me tips on how to fill them in. Also, working with Stephanie and following her advice I virtually get no ingrown hairs. If I do get them they fall right out. Also, the front desk staff is always SO easy to work with. They help me find appointments, consistently call and remind me of upcoming appointments, and help explain the wax packages to me. This is by far the best EWC I've been to. read more

I was in Stoneham running errands and I thought to myself, 'Self, you've put off the waxing, so just go." So I went to the on line booking site, and hoped I could get a same day appointment. I was lucky enough to get Jamie and at a time that was super convenient for me! I had been to other European Wax Centers before so I know what to expect and I wasn't disappointed. Jamie was friendly, but most importantly, she was meticulous with my lower legs! She made sure that I didn't have any wax remnants on me before I walked out. I knew I'd be happy, but I was ecstatic! There was a sense of professionalism and ease with Jamie. I can't believe it costs $20 to get eyebrow waxing here. I understand if they have a really great shape or are more gentle, but that wasn't my experience. I could've easily done what the lady did and I am terrible at anything that comes to hair. My eyebrows hadn't been done for several weeks and after I finished it looked like nothing was done except cleaning a few strays. And I also got some pimple under my right eyebrow and I've never gotten irritated there in my life. Thank goodness the first wax is free I won't be coming back. read more

I've came to this location a few times before finding Josie. A lot of times I was left unhappy. I felt like most times the job wasn't good enough, and I was paying a lot more than I should've. After reading some of the reviews mentioning Josie I decided to make a reservation with her. That was probably the best thing I could've done! I literally just walked out of EWC and I am already writing this review. Josie was beyond amazing. She made me feel soooo comfortable; even told me to inhale and exhale when pulling off the wax. I have been a customer of European Wax Center for my Brazilian waxes for about two years now. As many are, I was extremely nervous getting a Brazilian wax for the first time, and I scheduled an appointment with Josie. She was GREAT! She made me extremely comfortable, was very understanding, and made the first experience almost painless. I was a customer of hers for a couple of months, but my schedule conflicted with hers, and I ended up being scheduled with Amanda. I have never changed waxers again & will not go to anyone else besides her. She is so thorough, meticulous, but also waxes quickly, which we all know is a plus. She's super sweet, always have great conversation, and she always makes me feel so comfortable. If you're getting waxed for the first time & very nervous, I highly recommend going to Amanda for a meticulous wax as well as getting in and out of there as quickly as possible. Never felt pushed to purchase product or waxing packages that were recommended. Very respectful if not interested. Lynda V is fantastic! Highly recommend requesting her for your services. Like the front staff, she's friendly but also comforting and respectful of your privacy. I'm very happy I gave this location a chance. Oh! And the products I did purchase are amazing. Lynda recommended the body polish and ingrown hair serum. I can't rave enough about them. I truly got the most out of my waxing using these. I wandered into the European Wax Center in Stoneham because a friend was going in to get their eyebrows waxed. I've been there a few times now. Josie is wonderful! She is funny and easy to talk to! I scheduled my first Brazilian wax for June which I'm slightly nervous about hopefully it goes well! I'm happy with my eyebrows and I'm very picky when it comes to eyebrows. Used to come here often but not anymore. Scheduled an appointment with Tia and she offered a complimentary service since it was a trainer. I told her it wasn't necessary and that anything would be fine just as long as I get that time slot. She calls me and says that the trainer isn't going to show up so my appointment is dropped completely. This is so unprofessional. I've been going to the European Wax Center for about 6 months. I was super nervous the first time I went, never having had a Brazilian wax before. Oddly enough, I found my experience to be relaxing and enjoyable rather than painful and embarrassing, as I had expected. I've seen Josie a handful of times and absolutely love her. If you are nervous she is the best person to see as her personality and mannerisms will put you at ease. She tells you to inhale and exhale before each tough section, which helps you relax and make you feel more at ease and know exactly when to expect each pull. I saw Felicia for the first time today and I must say it was the most efficient wax I've had yet. On a tough section that most waxers have had difficulty with on me, Felicia made it seem like a breeze and the hair was gone before I even knew what had happened. Must have been my lucky day, because they paired me up with Felicia and she. is. amazing - double woohoo! She is so kind, and made me feel immediately comfortable, as if we'd known each other for years... So comfortable in fact that I finally decided to get a Brazilian, something I had wanted to do for years but could not work up the courage to even ask about previously.
