This review deals with the business practices of EU - not the service provided by the technician. I have been a repeat customer for many years and have purchased wax passes to lower my per- visit rate. Over the last 9 months, EU has conveniently "lost" several visits on my pass and has confirmed with me that my visits- to- pass usage doesn't correctly correspond. I also keep track of my pass usage and know I am owed 2 visits that were removed, yet they are unable or unwilling to rectify the situation. It's always a great experience whenever I come here. The ladies are super professional and they're very efficient with their processes. I am greeted as soon as I walk in and they always make sure to ask if I need to use the ladies room before my appointment. I recently came for my eyebrows and my Brazilian. It was a super quick and painless appointment! The wax consistency is gentle so it doesn't rip the skin and focuses only on the hair. The wax temp is perfect so it's not too hot and doesn't drag against the skin. My wax appointments are usually 30 minutes which I thought was quick but they managed to get it done in 15 minutes! They have perfected the art and the science to the wax and would recommend this spot to anyone! read more

Today was my 3rd time at the EWC and it will be my last time. I was excited that they're so close to me- walking distance, but the poor customer service isn't worth the close location. I'd rather go to another wax salon that's further away, but one that actually cares about providing great customer service. I had my appointment today at 12:45 for a leg and bikini wax. After I left, I noticed that there's still hair above my ankle and quite visible, so I called and asked to be squeezed in between appointments (it literally wouldn't take longer than 5 mins). I'm running around today and my day is filled with appointments since I'm going out of the country tomorrow. Ashley, at the front desk, refused to squeeze me in between appointments when it's convenient for me (again I have appointments all day) and she told me that the only time they can take me is when they have an available appointment, which is 4:15. As a result, I have to make a special run just to get that one area waxed because she refused to have me taken in between appointments. She wasn't even apologetic that I am inconvenienced. Ok, everyone knows by now that I am SUPER picky about my eyebrows! I REALLY needed my caterpillar eyebrows shaped and cleaned- I was so scared to trust a waxer because I normally thread them. Well, Genecia- the front desk receptionist- PROMISED me that Annissa is the best of the best. I still had doubts, but she was so sincere that I finally agreed. Fast forward to the day of my appointment- Annissa (and I kind of want to keep her my secret so y'all don't take her time so I can schedule my appointments more easily, but she's a gem) flawlessly reshaped my eyebrows and I AM SOOOOO HAPPY!!!! **Review in the times of COVID-19** They are doing a wonderful job during the pandemic. They have a QR code that you scan before you enter that notifies the front desk ladies that you have arrived. You wait outside and you get a text that you're ready to go in. The front desk staff wears a mask, the estheticians wear a mask. Everything is sanitized the moment you get up off the table for the next guest. As of today, 11.23 they aren't doing lip waxes due to state restrictions, probably chin as well since your mask kind of covers your chin. Ashleah is my go to gal and she does a wonderful almost painfree job on my eyebrows. I've been getting waxed for 25 years and I still cry.. I have several passes which ultimately saves you a ton of money, especially if you go often and take advantage of them. The front desk ladies are great, the owner is super nice. I think this is the second time I have bought the pass for multiple Brazilian waxes. In the beginning, I read reviews and chose Salina which no longer is there. She was great as she from the beginning used a shorter strip method on me which made the experience much better. After Salina, I tried two different girls, but it was more painful and strips were very long. I came upon Somig and asked her if we could use shorter strips and lucky for me, she does and experience with her is great. She is personable and just makes the experience great. I needed a wax last minute and unfortunately, Somig was not available. I read reviews and based on those, I chose Safah. 90% of reviews stated how amazing she is so that was a no brainer for me. When I called and spoke with receptionist, I asked if Safah can do shorter strips and she said yes I don't see that to be an issue. It's really not an issue it's just shorter strips which I found out work better for me. I came to my appointment which was today (6.12.2020) and Safah brought me back. I was also on time for my appointment. Just didn't give me the friendly feeling, but whatever can't please everyone. In the room, I mentioned to her the short strips request. This is what REALLY bothered me. She said "not today because I don't have time and that it would take longer. I am booked back to back". I felt so thrown off and honestly wanted someone else instead of her. I felt that she did not care about my small request and I am also a paying customer. Schedule clients differently then. I did not ask for additional service, just a different method. Then she kept trying to sell her products and I tried to reply but she kept talking over me. Then at the end, I said ok thank you and she didn't even acknowledge that or say thank you back. I came home and checked the area. Safah left about ten hairs that were unwaxed. Which means I have to plug them out. I would like to go back there tomorrow to have this fixed, but Choose not to have Safah wax me again. I have never had this happen as long as I go to European center. Very careless. I will go back to Somig and never rebook with Safah. read more

I did a last minute appointment yesterday (called less than an hour before) and the receptionist Ashley was great. Lynette (sp?) did the Brazilian wax on me and my under arms. I had a horrendous experience a few years ago with a Brazilian at another place so this was my first time getting one since then (yday made a total of 3 Brazilians in my life). That place tore a piece of skin off that never grew back. So I explained that and asked her to be more careful bc of my past experience (bc I've heard that you should let them know just so they can be aware and take even greater care). Honestly she seemed sort of annoyed. But she proceeded and the convo was good. The under arms are fairly hairless, with a few stray hairs left. Then the butt part of the Brazilian came and I flinched when the wax was put on. She said, "no! We don't do that! " in a very rude, scolding tone that was annoyed and angry as if I was a child. And then she's like, "do you want to do the butt or not?" Again, sounding annoyed. I said, "will this rip any of my skin." and again, in an annoyed and exasperated tone, she said, "no! I know what I'm doing. But we'll just finish this side and you can get dressed because you jumped." and she finished that half silently and then said, "get dressed." so I got dressed and she wordlessly cleaned up the room during that time. Then she said, "next time you can just ask for the front instead of the full Brazilian" and then walked me out and showed the products she used on me (like a sales pitch) and then left. I should have asked for a manager/supervisor to let them know that her customer service was lacking. But I didn't. Because of the stupid person I am, I paid for the full service (though it was 50% off bc I'm a first time customer) without mentioning that it was not completed or that she was rude. Even more stupidly, I gave a 20% tip of the full price. Why do i do that? I left and cried a few hours later because of the rudeness. I literally explained how my last time was so traumatizing bc skin was ripped off, yet she was not at all understanding when I flinched. I was just gonna stay silent because I don't want to burn bridges but then I thought to myself, why? I'm a paying customer and this is my body. Why should I stay quiet about it when it affected me? Btw, my pubic area is not completely hairless, but I'm not too mad about that because maybe coarse hair can't be completely removed in the first visit. Also btw, it hurt to sit on the toilet again yesterday and today when I had to use the bathroom for #2, it hurt. So something did tear a little? But nothing to the extent it did a few years back (that time I felt violated, this time I just felt like I was being scolded). I came to the EWC because the last place I went to was a random salon and I had a Groupon. This time I was okay paying however much at a good quality place because my mental health and body are worth it. Unfortunately, I had another bad experience yesterday after 2 years of not being able to even think about a Brazilian without crying bc of previous trauma. I'm not giving up yet. I want to find someone who is good, efficient, patient, and understanding. But it looks like that's hard to find, based on my limited experience of 3 Brazilians. read more

Do not go to Lynette for eyebrows!! She ruined my eyebrows...I told her when I went in please do not make my eyebrows thinner just clean them up I am trying to grow them thicker because the last lady took off too much. She confirmed she would not and then she took off a new section where my eyebrow starts above my nose when she was waxing the center. Now my eyebrows are thinner and uneven. Then she took off too much where the arch starts and at the ends. I used to have awesome eyebrows but I am at a loss at the last 2 times I have gone in. I really don't understand why she took so much off when I told her please do not make them thin and then even told her the last time it was too thin and I had to wait months to grow them out. I was so hesitant to come in on Saturday because I didn't want the same thing to happen and it ended up being even worse. What a disappointment. read more

Their waxes are unnecessarily painful. This was the first place I went to for a wax. I went twice and had two different workers perform the wax. The pain was excruciating. I decided to try one of their competitors (also a chain) after seeing a thread of people on social media who had the same horrible experience as me here. The wax I received from the competitor was a walk in the park compared to here. Maybe 1/4 of the pain that I had during my waxes here and the same exact price point. Not sure why this place uses this awful technique but pleaseeee do your research, especially if you're new to waxing. read more
