I almost fell asleep both times. Dislikes - Appointments are not customer focused. You are not given appointment options. You are told one time slot (i.e. Monday at 1:30p) and when that does not work, you are then offered a different date and time. - the owner never answers the phone. The only verbal communication is during your appointment. Voice messages are returned via text. - There are times you are unable to get an appointment 3 weeks out. If flexibility is important to you, this may not be the place for you. - During this visit, I had to ask questions about maintaining my lashes (i.e. drying my lashes, when to brush, etc.). No tips were given either time except sleep with a u shaped neck pillow (like the one used on airplanes). I was at the salon today for the first time and was using a groupon for a full set of lashes. Everyone who works there is so nice. I actually remember all there names because they all introduced themselves to me: Beata (owner) Kristen (stylist) and Thomas (masseuse). This place is really nice, and super clean. Kristen was my lash stylist and explained to me every single thing she was going to do in detail, and made sure I was comfortable and answered any questions I had. I laid back in a comfy chair, with a pillow under my head, and a knee roll and a warm blanket and Kristen worked her magic on my lashes. I absolutely love them!! I can't stop looking at them in the mirror and my friends think they look awesome and natural. My next appointment is in two weeks with Kristen for a fill. This was my first time having an eyelash lift and laminated eyebrows. My sister had me go and payed for it to see if we were going to like it and we absolutely loved it!!!! Lol. I had Bianca and she was amazing!!!! She's super sweet, she gets her own eyebrows laminated and they look perfect! The first day I had my eyebrows laminated I was like omg!!! I found Red Carpet through Groupon. I originally requested Baeta the owner but was informed she does not take Groupons since she is the owner. Kristen told me she was available at a certain time and day and I was available. I was really thrown off when I went to their Instagram as it didn't look like real pictures from their work it looked like pictures off the internet. I was suspicious and almost canceled my appointment but read previous reviews and decided to check it out. It was my first time and wanted them for my wedding. When I asked her about their Instagram page she said it was not their work and sounded a little annoyed. I felt like it was a pretty valid question I mean who posts work that's not there's on their Instagram. I felt like every time I asked her something she was bothered and annoyed. I upgraded to a higher package so I ended up paying $225 as she said the classic ones aren't usually for weddings. They looked great though I was very happy with them.When I went in for a fill a week later I got a sty and ended up getting them taken off a few days later. She used hand sanitizer a few times but a mask would have been appreciated since she was so close to my face. 2. Divine Diva is the way to go. While a very full look, everyone I've encountered thinks they are my natural lashes with mascara. Best part? They feel so much lighter than my real lashes would with globs of mascara in a lame (impossible) attempt to create the length and fullness one can only achieve with these lashes. I've had a date with her(and the comfy chairs, blankets, and pillows) every 2-3 weeks ever since! She has taught me so much about caring for even my natural lashes and overall health! Every time I go, it's like a different, but always equally gorgeous set of lashes due to my faster than average lash cycle(I've gone through a cycle on one eye or the other at least every other appointment... It's just how my hair grows...They will teach you all about this don't worry). While some may feel the prices are "high", we must remember this is an enhancement that isn't meant to be "cheap". These are not the lash extensions you may have gotten for $15 at the mall. Lash extensions require a great deal of training, skill, and passion, and when you compare the lashes from red carpet lashes' clientele to many other salons (both city and suburbs) there is no comparison! Also, these prices are actually MUCH more reasonable than many salons in Chicago providing subpar work in comparison. These ladies are extremely efficient and have mastered the ability to work quickly without clients ever feeling rushed: a full set takes only an hour. I haven't had my lashes done by Kristin or Beata, but they both do beautiful work and always treat me with kindness at the salon. I never thought eyelashes would be so important to me. I made both my mom and I appointments back in January. We were both a little nervous but Beata was so sweet and professional, she made us feel very comfortable and very welcome! This is now my third time getting lashes done by Kristen and each time it gets even better! I actually fall asleep in the chair when she is filling in my lashes. I have long eyelashes already, they are just so light that I usually didn't leave home without mascara. Honestly I didn't even think I would notice them very much because I had always spent a lot of time putting on mascara that my eyelashes always looked fine. Now they look amazing. Normally I'm a very easy-going person I don't complain about much it takes a lot but do not go to this place I repeat do not go to this place. I went here and I only did my eyelashes get stuck together and ruined but I was charged over price I was told I get a discount with the Groupon but then when I show up she tells me it's not for the glam set it's for the basic single lashes which my Groupon says it's for a glam set. I later call to explain that my lashes are having problems so I'm told to come in to get them fixed the whole time I'm given dirty looks and the owner was beyond rude she said that they did not do that work which confuses me because I did not go anywhere else. Best advice to you all this place is worse than amazing Lash and that actually means some thing. If you're going to open up a business you need to learn to have respect for customers and let them talk not interrupt them and tell them that they're wrong when you can clearly see my eyelashes look like complete crap.
