Very nice and clean but clinician had the worse attitude and did a very average service for what they charge. I added a ten minute massage and it was hardly that, felt like what they usually do. The receptionist and another clinician there were friendly, but probably the worse overall customer service I have had at any salon. They walk around all sullen and act like you're lucky you got in. read more

I don't get my nails done very often - maybe twice a year - but when I have, I've usually gone here to Elysian. They've done a good job every time I've gone. I'm always very happy. I've always gotten something simple like the no-chip / gel manicure or Dazzle Dry manicure. I went today, and again really like my nails. I wanted a natural but glossy look today, and Amy helped me select a beautiful light neutral pink color and expertly shaped and polished my nails. It usually lasts a month. After being a long time regular Client who was charged when I was sick and couldn't make an appointment. I arrived for my appointment waited over 25 minutes for my service. I was on a tight schedule. No one communicated with me and then on top of it they charged me a full polish change when it was truly minimal service. I barely received an apology and was told their staffs time was valued more than the customer. Still looking for a new salon but won't go back. read more

I REALLY want to like this place. It's near home, it has amazing chairs, etc. I had a not so great experience! (Background) I did a no chip and observed the following: 1. My color didn't dry-I'm not sure if it was the machine or if it was the color but they had to start over 2. I had to pick a completely different color- they said that it might have been the nail polish was so I need to pick a different color- picking another color made my feet and hands not match 3. My nails chipped very easily- two days later I already had my nail polish chip away-the whole point of no chip is to NOT have that happen. I had to trim my nails to hide the chips and now I have another issue in the middle... I'm a consultant and don't have so much time to spend additional time on this. The people were nice-ish about it. This place isn't cheap and I expect better. read more

I live in LA and booked Signature Manis and Pedis a couple of months in advance for a Mother and Daughter day during my annual trip to Sweet Home Chicago. The confirmation email specified that we would have the same technicians for both services. This makes sense because a quality establishment strives to ensure continuity for clients. My technician, Denise, was unfriendly and sighed most of the time. She did a mediocre pedicure then sat me down at a table for my manicure. I waited for a good amount of time until the owner finally came over to say that a technician would be with me shortly because she was finishing up with another client. What? Why wasn't Denise doing my manicure when I was supposed to have the same tech for both services as scheduled? The owner tried to use Denise running behind during my pedicure as a valid excuse as to why she could no longer do my manicure. How does that even make sense? This was completely unacceptable to me and is not a problem that I as the client should have had to contend with. I used to run a spa so I know this type of behavior is not proper etiquette whatsoever. As a result, I cancelled the manicure. I was later offered a "Quick Mani" or gift card for future use once the owner could see I was fuming while waiting for my Mom. However, I declined because I would never return to this awful place. The space is clean and modern but it's also cold and pretentious. To boot, they have no concept of client service and their techs are lacking in the skills department. Obviously, I do not recommend Elysian Nail Spa whatsoever. read more

I hate to leave a negative review but I'm compelled to do so today. I have been going to this nail salon for several years with a great experience. I have probably been there at least 30 times. I woke up sick today and had an appointment this afternoon. When I called the salon to reschedule to another day, they informed me that because I was cancelling the same day as the appointment, they would have to charge me a 50 percent cancellation fee. I said that I wanted to reschedule to another day when I was not sick. I was informed of the policy and told that I had cancelled once before so I would have to incur the cancellation fee. I said I would never come back if they charge me for cancelling and they indicated that was fine. That it was my choice. They are right, it is my choice and I will find another salon that appreciates my business. I guess they don't realize sick clients have the potential to infect other clients and their staff. Elysian contacted me this afternoon and said they would reschedule my appointment and not charge the cancellation fee. I have changed my review to 5 stars. As I said at the beginning, I have had a great experience at this salon for a few years. Their reconsideration of the policy is appreciated and I look forward to enjoying their services in the future. read more

The Elysian Nail Spa was very cute. We came in for two pedicures. They are very thorough and informative on their procedures and they walk you through everything. This was great because it was our first time here! However we did not get the stylists names. The lady painting my nails asked if I liked the color once it was on. Went two days ago for no-chips with my friend on our first visit. The woman who did my manicure struggled to take off my no-chip that was on previously. She filed so hard that my nails burned and bled and kept saying I had glue on (I assure you, I never have). It was a long, painful and expensive experience. Today, two nails chipped- TWO days after paying $40 for my manicure. Worst experience. I'm going back to the place that's $5 cheaper and where my no chips last an eternity and my experience is pleasant and comfortable. read more

I wanted to like this place, since it's very convenient for me. The salon itself is nice and clean. Couldn't get in on the same day for a pedi, even though when I went in the next day they weren't very busy. They have a polish they claim was just like a gel pedi, I opted for that type of polish as it was also quick drying. Pedi wasn't anything special, in fact I asked her to use more strength, but that didn't happen. She also cut my skin and I was bleeding. The polish is chipping already and it's only been 2 weeks. Had a medical emergency in my family and they charged us for half of the services. Horrible customer service. We called hours in advance on a Friday to cancel bc we had to go to the hospital. I found their Instagram page and was able to follow a link to request an appointment, so fast and easy! Bonus, their Instagram feed is a great way to see what services they offer and where they show off all the new color offerings, etc. I have had numerous manicures (no chip and natural nail) as well as pedicures and I have always been super happy with the results. The polish is always perfect and lasts. The team of women that work here are extremely kind and talented and the spa is spotless! They have an organized and wide selection of colors to choose from. They offer a variety of services and offer up designer polish and ombré options and designs as an upgrade. The pedicure stations are a modern comfy chair with massage and heat options. This salon offers selections of alcohol. I visited Elysian over the weekend for a no-chip manicure. I also brought my two daughters for basic manicures. I am incredibly pleased with the experience. The salon was immaculate. All tools were opened in front of me so I felt very assured that everything was being used only on me. The manicure itself can only be described as "meticulous." My nails look beautiful. The technician made them the length and shape I requested. The no-chip is very thin and looks like a manicure (not acrylics). My daughters LOVE their nails. I have been coming to Elysian for at least a year now, and always find it relaxing. The technicians do a great job--the manicures and pedicures last a long time--and everyone makes you feel welcome. It's not a pretentious atmosphere but rather friendly and tranquil. Another bonus is that you can make appointments online.
