She always explain things to me throughout the procedure and makes the process pretty quick and as painless as possible. This was my first time waxing after a long hiatus. Unfortunately, my Brazilian wax left me with bruising and patchiness, and my legs are super patchy with breakage. I did tell them my hairs are very fine on my legs, and I may need a soft wax to get them. They told me they only had hard wax but didn't say they couldn't complete the job. I don't want to fault the girl who did my legs because I was late and they tried to accommodate me by pushing my appointment down, which might have put pressure on her and had someone else waiting. But the lays were super big, and she went over my legs more than three times (don't know if you're supposed to do that). The wax was also pretty hot, and I sustained a burn on my right leg. I'm wearing stockings because my legs look crazy. I went in to try to give my skin a break from all the shaving I've been doing, but honestly the end result leaves me more work at the end of the day. The temperature of the wax should be monitored better to avoid complications like this. It's also ok to just say "No" if the service can't be completed instead of wasting time, materials, and causing unnecessary injury to a client. This was my first time at this location. My wax specialist was a petite Hispanic/Black girl (forgot her name). I took a break from waxing but prior to this, I used to wax for two years straight. When I walked in, she had a million and one questions. When was the last time you wax? Have you trimmed? I told her yes, I trimmed recently. That was my mistake, however I felt judgement from there on. She kept talking to me like it was my first time and I occasionally mentioned that I used to wax. I did not like that at all. Then she ask are you going on vacation soon? I answered yes. She said "You should of came a few days ago. Let me not get started on the stupid fan that they put on the wax table while you are on it. She didn't even ask if I mind. Supposedly it is supposed to cool down the wax and prevent from sweating. As I am getting a wax, this fan is blowing. I felt baby powder flying towards my face. That made no common sense. If you need to cool down the wax, put it next to the wax area or lower the wax temperature. For a company that is supposed to be judgement free, I sure felt a lot of judgement today. The service was good, however the customer service was lacking. I stopped going to European Wax Center because of the lack of inconsistent management from different locations (not this specific one). I only went because I had one more pre-paid service. I will not be going to any more European Wax Centers anymore! read more

I usually go to BLISS Spa for my Brazilian wax but wanted something closer to home. I looked up EWC and found this location. I looked at the reviews and Carolyn's name stood out, so I booked my appointment with her for 9/5/20. I have been getting waxed for over 10yrs and this was one of my best experiences. Carolyn is very professional, gentle and efficient. As far as the spa, they are COVID-19 compliant, all staff wore masks, there are plexiglass dividers at the registration desk and there is no waiting in the waiting area. My service was excellent however the receptionist was disgustingly rude and turned me off but time. I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment and she asked me to wait outside when there was no one in the waiting area, I did let her know I took an Uber so she then advised I could take a seat so I did after the service I asked if I could leave the tip on my card I couldn't hear her as she stated the percentage so as she repeated I looked at her and she pretty much gave eyerolls and looks of frustration as she repeated myself. I just was there 10 minutes ago and I saw Maddie for a Brazilian and it was a pleasant experience. I hadn't been to EWC for a minute and I called today and got an appointment immediately. Maddie was gentle and very nice. When I said I felt the wax was too hot she cooled it with a fan and then proceeded on with her mission. I felt little pain because she was so comforting. I liked that I asked for a particular shape and she told me it didn't look good so we changed it. I like people who understand their job and do it well. I have been coming here for years. Today I got a very nasty message from Destiny stating that she is canceling my pre scheduled appointments because she didn't hear back from me yesterday. Well I guess recovery from major surgery should be put on hold to return her call. When I spoke to her today she told me rudely I was holding up spots for customers apparently I don't count because you never fixed my schedule when my Waxer went on maternity leave. I'm disgusted. I am calling corporate because clearly customer service is lacking. Instead of snapping at a customer you should try to resolve the issue. I hope you train Destiny on customer service etiquette. I want to cancel my pass because I refuse to be demeaned by someone when I am paying for a service. read more

I rarely write reviews but my daughter went to get an eyebrow wax at this location and says the wax felt very hot. She got a pretty bad burn above her eyelids. We went back to see what they can do about it and was told the AC wasn't working so they are having trouble regulating the heat of the wax. Not a good experience and will not be back read more

This place is unprofessional. I booked a wax appointment days before I was traveling. I specifically booked for Caroline as reviews said she was best. She had one 8am appointment. Literally 10 minutes before my appointment they called me to tell me my appointment was cancelled. I was already parked outside and sitting in my car. So I decided to walk in. I asked if I could be waxed right now with anyone else. They told me no, and told me I had to be placed on a wait list and hope someone cancels. Then they rebook me for 4 weeks later with a different waxer when I specifically said I wanted Caroline. They seem really incompetent, and can't follow instructions. Save your time and money. My friend recommended me to try European Wax Center but i chose this location because its closer to my house. I have been coming here for almost a year now and I must say I think its great! They always take me on the exact time of my appointment (major points!!). There is a parking lot right in front of the facility which is free. The front desk/waiting area is nice and clean and there is two receptionist that are more than happy to help you. I always do my eyebrows and my Brazilian with Georgia! She is so nice and always able to have a great convo! She makes me feel super comfortable and holds down after the pull to relieve some of the pain which is amazing because it would make a huge difference in pain level for me. She is amazing! The facility uses a hard wax (dark purple in color) i haven't had a problem with it. The wax room is spacious and there is an area to put your belongings. Since i do my eyebrows as well after they are done waxing they put a calming cream and offer to fill the eyebrow in for you which i think is unique because other eyebrow places don't offer that. After the Brazilian they also apply this in-grown hair serum that is a miracle! I even bought some to take home because it actually works and lasts forever! After the service I always make my next appointment right there. The plus side is that at that time 3-4 weeks from then there is always available appointment times BUT if you need to change an appointment time for that same week its going to be a bit difficult because sometimes they are fully booked. You may get lucky if there is a cancellation and they can put you in. So regularly i believe a Brazilian is 55 dollars and eyebrows are about 8 dollars. But they offer many many different packages that can fit you best! They always have different promotions and i recommend to try it out! I'd never had a Brazilian wax before today so I was super nervous about my appointment. A lot of the reviews that I read consistently mentioned how great Carolyn was- and ladies you didn't lie! Carolyn was super fast and efficient and made the whole process as gentle as could be imagined. She's a great conversationalist who distracted me from everything that was going on. The whole thing took about 15 minutes and she was very good about giving detailed after-care instructions. The facility itself was very clean. I've been an avid fan of European Wax Center since about 2015. They provide a clean, safe, and comfortable atmosphere to get your body looking great. I visited this location recently to get a brazilian wax. This location isn't the closets to me however, given the COVID-19 limitations it was open and had convenient hours. Also, its centrally located around some great stores, so I had a good time shopping afterwards lol. Given the social distancing precautions, checking in for your appointment is a little different. There is no waiting inside the lobby. You must scan a code on the door, then follow the instructions. Your waxer will then come out and call for you when ready. I had an amazing waxer by the name of Giuliana. Not only was she personable but she made me feel super comfortable. Probably among the best I have during my time as a customer of European Wax Center. So much so that I had follow-up appointment at another location but canceled it just to come back and be serviced by Giuliana. I have been going to this location for a while now. Everyone is super friendly and the place is always bright, cheery and clean. I have had Kristina do my waxes for at least a year now. She is great, she always puts up with all my questions and quirks. She is super friendly and makes me feel at ease. I highly recommend this location. I also use their Sensual Strut products, I love the musky scent and how soft it leaves my skin. They do offer wax packages which I have yet to air advantage of it, but they don't push them on you or make you fee like you must purchase them. Plus their app is so easy to use Thanks ladies for always making my waxing bearable! I mean if you were not ripping my hairs out it would almost be pleasurable lol. This location is terrible. I really tried to give it a chance since I'm a long time EWC customer but it's just not worth It. The first time I came the staff was rude. I tried to disregard it since my experience with my waxer was good. I back again and it wasn't terrible so I scheduled another visit with my waxer. Recently they cancelled my last two appointments, I have the voicemails telling me not to come in, and my account was locked for frequent no shows. I think I'm done with EWC at this point. Wow. I had my first wax here at European Wax Center with Brielle today. The whole experience was so convenient and easy. I called around 1:30pm while running errands to see if by any chance they can squeeze me in at any time during the day, and they were able to see me at 2pm! I came, scanned my check in and barely waited 5 mins to be seen. Once Brielle took me in, she made me feel completely comfortable and talked to me through the whole process. Horrible place. I came here for the first time since I always go to the 57th location. As soon I walked through the door the receptionist was rude. I arrived an hour earlier since I was in the area. As soon my information was given to the waxer. The waxer said "wtf why she is here so early". I saw this action and immediately I asked for thhe waxer to be replace. The receptionist with dark hair was so rude and said to me oh well " you would have to wait an hour then to be seen". I decided to canceled my appointment and walked out. When to another location Eastchester and the experience was not good either. The receptionist was eating in the front desk area. Lorddd.. horrible. read more
