I got a shellac manicure here, and my nails started peeling off completely (in full pieces) by the 3rd day. Within a week, all 10 nails had come off, which is completely unacceptable for a service like this. I was traveling internationally at the time, so I wasn't able to contact the salon right away. However, I came in the very next day after returning from my trip to let them know and have it addressed. Despite explaining the situation, the manager refused to honor it due to their 10-day policy. I understand policies exist, but there should also be room for basic customer service and common sense. If I could have come in sooner, I absolutely would have. As a loyal customer who has referred many people here, it was disappointing to be dismissed like this. People don't come back to complain unless something genuinely went wrong. The service clearly did not hold up as expected, especially given the price paid. This was not about trying to get something for free--it was about them standing behind their work and making it right. Unfortunately, they chose not to. Because of this experience, I will no longer be returning, and I will be informing friends, family, and community members I previously recommended this place to. I ended up going to QB Nails instead, and the difference was night and day. They were empathetic, professional, and did an amazing job fixing my nails. They even offered me a discount without me asking, simply out of understanding. My nails came out flawless, and I happily tipped 25% because of how satisfied I was. I had a mani pedi here and they were running super late, I waited 30 minutes and then another 15 minutes to get my service. That's all good because I agreed to it. However, the pedicure was bad. She cut into my skin and then sprayed my polish with quick dry that made the polish puddle and dry unevenly. She also painted my skin! When I called the next day to tell them (I didn't want to go in and complain in front of customers), they said to come back and they would fix it. And they did. I wish I didn't have to spend the time to go back, that it had just been done right the first time, but at least they asked for the opportunity to fix it and they did. I am still giving 5 stars because they had great customer service and they fixed what was wrong. read more

The poor child was scared. It was very uncomfortable for me to witness. Men shouldn't be yelling at women and children especially when we go there to relax. Used to love coming to this place but after today I will not be going back. The nail tech was rude and was rough on my nails the entire time. She also gave me 6 cuts and 3 of the cuts wouldn't stop bleeding. She acted like nothing, rushed through it, and just continued painting my nails. I refer so many people here, it's sad that I continue to get the manager and the lady at front desk with horrible attitude every time I arrive. My nail tech is always nice that's why I would ignore their attitude to come back. But the fact that they ignore my husband for this visit even when bringing another 2 new people to get their nails done. I made an appointment for 4 pm and a 5 pm for my husband. I got their late but I called to make sure they can still take us if not I understand because I got lost coming from a different place and they didn't even give my husband his even arriving before 5 pm. tldr; The nail tech assigned to my mani was rough with my nails, sawed back and forth with the file, left rough edges and rough nail plate, almost cut my cuticles without asking, used a subpar top coat that didn't fill in said rough edges and nail plate, and flakes within 3 days. Duly unimpressed and quite loath to ever come again. Full (edited for conciseness) experience below. The moment I walked in, I was ushered to one of those chairs to get my scheduled mani pedi. Overall, that was a rather enlightening and pleasant experience, and the lady that did my feet and toes did a phenomenal job, other than cutting my cuticles without asking. There was also the fact that as Vietnamese women, the accents of the ladies attending to me were so thick that I, half-viet myself, struggled to understand them. "You want Shellac? It last up to 2 week?" they asked. "N-No thanks, just basic, please." Now comes the actual manicure part. For context, I've been doing my nails myself for the past year and a half with ridiculously pleasing results, painstakingly growing them out and shaping them to almond-stiletto points, carefully babying them and filing in one direction. It was the day of prom (like, 3 days ago, if i'm being honest,) and between hair and makeup appointments I couldn't spare the 1.5 hours I would usually spend on my nails so I tagged along with a friend and her mom to get my nails done here. I learned from my mistake with the pedicure tech. "Please don't cut my cuticles," I asked, stopping her just as she was about to do it. The nail tech asked me if I wanted to keep my nail shape, and I agreed, which she followed up with a request to slightly shape the edges to more of a point. Well, she kind of sawed away at them a bit. Back and forth. Then she buffed the nail plate with a fine grit buff block but didn't buff the roughness out afterwards. She looked at me again. I had requested french tips for both fingers and toes (a novel experience) prior to sitting down, and asked me, for a third time, if I was *sure* that I didn't want shellac because, after all, shellac lasts 2 w h o l e w e e k s, unlike *basic* which was 2-3 days before they start peeling and chipping. 2-3 days, I echoed faintly in my private thoughts, disbelieving. My at-home, diy manicures with 4 layers of product, same quality materials, and wrapped tips manage to last me 2 weeks. But alas. I'm a mere 18 year old nerd who spends too much time on her nails and is still cowed by authority and domineering asian matriarchs ruling households with iron fists. But my mother, an even scarier asian matriarch told me never to get shellac from her own experience. "Just basic is fine," I squeaked. The nail tech shot me a look of concealed doubt, but acquiesced to my preferences. Any mistakes were rectified to the best of her ability. And then she applied the top coat. Any doubts I had previously reared their collective head at this point. I look at my nails, pretty and painted. But very much so lacking, the nice tech leading me to the air-dry station. Later, I critically inspected them, highly unsatisfied. A brief swipe across my cheek (a habit) was met with the rough texture of buffed nails that hadn't been smoothed. It was, to be frank, very subpar to my own (beginner-mid tier) job, and for a nail salon I was exceedingly disappointed. After vowing privately to apply a coat of sèche vite after returning home and also to never return to this specific nail salon again, I left. Immediately? Instantly, dramatically, and drastically better results. To admit that I was bewildered by all these positive reviews is an understatement. I could bet you that that top coat used-- absolute shit, by the way-- was the main reason why a basic manicure would last 2 to 3 days. That's-- That's not-- It's an underhanded business tactic, that's what it is. To get people to come back because of a relatively nice job yet shitty sealing material so the niceness fades, necessitating more frequent visits. And it wouldn't have really occurred to me had I not missed a section in my own top coat application and idly picked at the exposed section which flaked insultingly easily off the nail. Huh. I decided to give this place a try and was extremely disappointed!!!! I wanted to treat myself to a little more massage time with my pedicure and requested the "Eva Pedicure $55" which included 20 minutes of "deep Tissue" massage and 5 minutes of neck massage.. To begin, I felt a bit of pain while she was cleaning my cuticles but I thought I rather have all the extra skin off so I did not say anything, secondly, I was not massaged for the entire time she rushed through the whole pedicure. Lastly and what I felt was the worst, she asked me to sit at the front to do my neck massage, probably felt like she did not have a second to go back to her basket and grab massage oil/lotion and decided to open a cuticle oil bottle (the ones in nail polish bottles) spread it on her hands and massage me. That is NO MASSAGE OIL, she tugged on my skin and after a minute I asked her to please stop. It was painful! Upon arriving I also asked for my daughter to get her finger nails and toes painted, she sat on a chair and wanted to put her feet in water, I saw that they had a kid mani/pedi for $30 something dollars which I agreed to pay thinking she would get lotion, massage, something... I just wanted her to have the salon experience... I mean for 30 something dollars.... They filled up the water had her toes dipped for a few minutes took them out and proceeded to paint her nails, dipped her finger nails in water and painted right away.... For dipping fingers in water and painting them on a child I got charged more than 30 dollars. When I was ready to pay I told them my daughter did not get her full services, the owner or manager (young guy) proceeded to have me sit in the waiting area to pull his cameras and show me that she got water for her toes.... Really??? What about the scrub, lotion, etc...? I felt humiliated and what I felt he did only in needs to prove me wrong however, again, her service was not complete! DO NOT GO HERE!
