A bit pricy but customer service was good so I'll give them 5 We stopped by this place on our way to the airport so we did not sit down but it had an chill / woodsy vibe. It feels very open with a long wooden table in the center and tables on the side wall and by the window with a few couches at that end. Turmeric chai was bomb! Lightly sweet with a light turmeric ginger flavor. And best of all it was caffeine free!! So great anytime of day or for those sensitive to caffeine like me. 8oz was $6 so that is steep for the smallest size but it was good enough I'd come back for it when in the area again. They are known for there hand pies so had to try one of those! I got the mixed berry since they were out of there most popular huckNberry and it was good, pretty sweet for me in the morning so wish I had tried a savory one but had good flavor and flaky crust. I bet the chicken pot pie one is really good in that crust. My friend got a seasonal Latte with pecan I believe and liked it a lot. The wide open space inside is awesome if you want to come and sip a cup of coffee and get some work done. It also works just to stop in if you're in town cheering someone on for a race. The menu is simple. To us we felt like the espresso did have a touch of a floral taste but it was smooth. Staff are quick and helpful. read more

I remember it so well I came back to review it years later, I still dream of that perfect cup. I'm definitely a snob (black coffee only guy). Came to this coffee shop after reading reviews about how they are one of the best coffee places in the area, and I decided to follow my curiosity and give it a try. Upon walking in, you can see that it is pretty spacious with a generous amount of seating and plenty of outlets for getting work done. The menu has quite a lot to it including espresso drinks, specialty drinks, and pour overs (my go-to!). I decided to inquire about their pour overs and found that they had multiple different options, each with different price points, different notes, and different appeals. The individual at the counter provided excellent service and helped me choose a pour over that enlightened my desires. They had plenty of options from different East African countries and South American countries as well. I went with one of their East African beans and was pleased at the preparation, presentation, and execution. I read great reviews when I was researching coffee shops in Coeur D'Alene and our experience did not fall short. The staff are super friendly and the vibe was comfortable and upbeat. Uncle Rico's Cortado was smooth, bright, and delicious, with a hint of orange and spices. The hand pies are freshly made and the asparagus quiche, which came highly recommended, was the best quiche I have ever tasted. The homemade crust was light and flakey, not dense and flavorless. Everything was top notch from the moment I walked in the door. Great service and ambiance. I stopped in several times throughout my time in CDA. They have a great variety of delicious local pies both savory and sweet. Two of my favorites: Chicken pot pie and berry handpie. I've tried various lattes, espresso and the TUMERIC Spiced chai. Wow! This is my favorite spot in all of CDA for a treat and coffee. My iced mocha was unreal--so rich and full of flavor. I also tried two hand pies, the huckleberry and peach-huckleberry, and they tasted just like homemade pop-tarts. I'm completely obsessed and will definitely be coming back! I've been coming to this coffee shop for years, and every visit is just as great as the last! It's my go-to spot whenever I'm in Coeur d'Alene. The coffee is always consistently balanced, never too sweet, which is why I love it so much. Today, I had a vanilla latte and their seasonal maple latte both were fantastic. The maple latte had just the right amount of subtle spice. Also, their handpies are incredible! Make sure to get there early because they sell out fast (and for good reason, they're made fresh daily). I wish they would go back to their old mug design though because the new ones are not better. Super clean, spacious, plenty of plug-ins for those of us who still have to work on the go. I ended up ordering a summer special after talking to the friendly barista; when I said I loved tea, she suggested the chai tonic. It was an iced drink with a strong, spicy chai taste and a bit of carbonation. I would never have thought of it, but it was good! Definitely a sip-it drink, which was actually good for me. I tend to drink iced beverages too quickly. This chai tonic was meant to be savored! Everyone I interacted with here was super friendly. The coffee was indeed good, went with the non-water process Columbia beans, but great that they had choices. The barista was very knowledgeable and helpful, he truly knows their products. And the huckleberry hand pie...truly great. I'm always on a quest for GOOD huckleberry food since I grew up in N Idaho and used to be able to pick and eat them raw, nothing like good fresh huckleberries.
