When I told him I wanted to be a specific size, he said they don't do things that way. I was then given the option of different size implants with cc's and was told to figure out which size I wanted. When I chose the smaller size, the staff and doctor recommended I size up, that I wouldn't be happy enough. They said everyone decides that what they went with was too small and always wishes they had gone bigger. When I woke up from the surgery, the first thing I said was, I hated them they were too big, the staff blew me off with that response and told me to come back for my follow up appointment. At all of my follow up appointments I voiced my concern about how I still did not like the way I looked, that they were too large. I was ignored by both the staff and the doctor every time I voiced my opinion about it. After my last follow up it was as if I no longer existed. I have now lived this way since 2015 hating my breasts every day.

His surgical prep team that I had that morning before was kind, funny & just AMAZING they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and talked me through everything that was going happen before my procedure and explained aftercare with detail to my husband, even helping out with labeling the meds (pain, nausea ect.) I had a tummy tuck…read more(abdominoplasty) done a few years ago, by another doctor in San Antonio, along with liposuction, but was left with a scar between panty line and belly button. It was pretty visible when I wore a bikini. In addition, did NOT like my back since I was left with loose skin and rolls. It's when you wear jeans and a shirt, not even a spanx will help. Yeah-that! Dr. Brostrom redid it all for me. Within the first week after my surgery with Dr. Brostrom, my back was visibly flat, butt looked AMAZING and so did my stomach! Go see her, talk to her, she takes time with you and takes GREAT care of you! She made me feel as if she cared about me personally and you'll see what I mean when you decide to go on with your procedure. No regrets and it was all worth it. She's pretty good and I was impressed. NO MORE BACK ROLLS :). Incision is where it should be now.

I wish I could write a positive review, but my experience with New Image Plastic Surgery has been…read moredeeply disappointing. I went in for what I thought would be a straightforward chin implant surgery, but after three surgeries (the original procedure and two revisions), the results were still disastrous. I ended up paying upwards of $6,000 to have the implant removed at another clinic because I couldn't trust New Image any longer. While they offered to remove it for free after the second revision, I couldn't imagine being on their operating table for a fourth time--especially not with my current face staring back at me in the mirror every day. I want to be clear--I'm not writing this out of anger, but out of sadness and frustration. I trusted New Image to help me, and they fell short at every turn. The office and nursing staff were kind and attentive, but that doesn't change the fact that the surgeon dismissed my concerns - repeatedly - even when the issues were apparent from the very first surgery. I know the clinic will undoubtedly try to discredit my claims or mention I did not attend all of my follow-up appointments or that I'm misrepresenting things in some way (bc of course they will, this is their livelihood), but I want to clarify that this only happened after my concerns were repeatedly - repeatedly - ignored. By that point, I had completely lost faith in their ability to address my concerns. My complaints were repeatedly brushed off as unrealistic, even though they were offering to do revisions for free at the same time; it's hard to trust a provider who dismisses your concerns while simultaneously acknowledging the need for corrections. For anyone who might think this review is an exaggeration or misrepresentation, I want to be transparent. I have detailed documentation of my experience, including recordings with transcripts of follow-up appointments, a CT scan from 1 year after the second revision, and surgery notes from the surgeon I paid to remove it. If anyone is considering using this clinic and would like to see this documentation, I would be happy to share it privately. I simply want others to have all the facts before making such an important decision. I regret ever stepping through their doors, and I hope no one else has to go through what I've experienced. Please, if you're considering plastic surgery, do your research thoroughly and don't just trust the sales pitch. The consequences of choosing the wrong provider can be devastating.

The office is beautiful, super efficient, and everyone is so kind. I barely had to wait, which is rare these days. But Tarin?? She is AMAZING. So sweet, so smart, and actually listens to you (which matters SO much). She explained everything in a way that made sense, gave me a plan that was easy to follow, and made me feel so comfortable the entire time. And the results... already seeing SUCH a difference in my skin, especially on my forehead. I'm actually excited about my skin again!! You can tell she genuinely cares and is passionate about helping people feel confident. I trust her completely. I've literally been telling everyone about her -- friends, family, random people LOL. If you're struggling with your skin or just want someone who actually gets it and will help you -- go to Tarin. Period. Also, the facility was very clean, and there were plenty of staff working, so there were no wait times for check-in or check-out. The office runs very efficiently. I was truly in and out! Every single staff member I spoke to greeted me with a warm smile, which I deeply appreciated! Also, I really loved the website booking option with Tarin, which made it super easy and efficient.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience in hopes that it…read morehelps others. I initially went to Sonterra Dermatology because I was suffering from severe, persistent hives and an extremely itchy rash that had become unbearable. At my first visit, the physician assistant performed a skin biopsy and diagnosed me with contact dermatitis. When my symptoms continued, I returned and saw Dr. Matthew Malan. The appointment was very brief, and he recommended patch testing. I scheduled the test, but when I arrived for my appointment, I sat in the office for 30-40 minutes before being told they had accidentally used the patch test that had been set aside for me on another patient. They apologized and told me they would have to order another one, delaying my testing by another week. When you're dealing with relentless itching, hives, and sleepless nights, that kind of delay feels overwhelming. The following week, I returned for the patch test. Before applying the patches, the nurse commented that my back was already very inflamed. Despite that, the test was still administered. When I returned for my final reading, Dr. Malan immediately said the results were difficult to interpret because my back was so irritated. Then, almost as an afterthought, he said he thought I was allergic to nickel. He told me that a nickel allergy was "the worst thing in the world" because nickel is everywhere and compared living with it to "walking through a jungle of poison ivy" for the rest of my life. When I asked if there was any treatment or medication that could help, I was told there really wasn't anything I could do other than buy a nickel test online and check everything around me. I left that appointment feeling discouraged and hopeless. Thankfully, I sought a second opinion. My concierge physician performed a thorough medical evaluation, including blood work to rule out underlying conditions. Everything came back normal, and she diagnosed me with urticaria and referred me to an allergist. The allergist ultimately diagnosed me with Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria (CSU), confirming that my hives were not caused by a nickel allergy. What disappointed me most wasn't simply that the initial diagnosis turned out to be incorrect--medicine isn't perfect, and diagnoses can evolve. It was the overall experience: the scheduling mistake, performing a patch test despite my back already being significantly inflamed, the lack of discussion about the limitations of the test under those conditions, and leaving the appointment feeling frightened rather than supported. I hope this feedback encourages greater attention to patient care, communication, and ensuring diagnostic testing is performed under appropriate conditions. Patients who are suffering deserve to feel heard, informed, and given confidence that every effort is being made to reach the correct diagnosis.
