I couldn't tell you The amount of times my dogs have ended up looking like aliens or just flat out ugly when I pick them up. Bella's hair around her face grows forward & down, while Nemo's hair grows up and back. I've had terrible experiences at other petco grooming salons so I was definitly skeptical but Nancy & Kim really showed their dedication to their work and their skill level! Nancy worked on Bella while Kim worked on Nemo. They both did such an amazing job!!! AND they were done soo quick! I was told to come back in about 4 hours but I got a call after 2 hours saying they were done!! My dogs are so stubborn, hate being bathed, and overall hate the groomers but I truly appreciate how much patience both Stylists had while also working so quickly & efficiently Bella is my little psycho princess who is a disaster when she eats and her whole face is always a mess so I started putting her hair in a pony tail/pig tails to keep her face clean. She is so stubborn & HATES her face being touched. Not only did Nancy give her the cutest haircut ever (exactly what I asked her for), she also managed to BRAID Bella's hair! I am so beyond shocked with how she was able to do that! Nancy, I may need to start coming once a week just to have her hair braided by you Thank you so so much Nancy & Kim, I will see you both again in a couple months for their next grooming apt! I have been coming to Alicia with my dogs for years. My dog's last appointments has made me no…read morelonger allow Alicia to groom my dogs. I will no longer give my business to A & L Purr D Paws. My one dog gets a close shave every time but when I brought her home I noticed she had patches of redness on her skin. My dog was in distress because she had a huge irritated red patch on her back and she couldn't scratch it. This has never happened to my dog before so I had no idea why this suddenly appeared on her skin. My other dog had an appointment a few weeks later and when I brought her home she started squinting her eye and wouldn't open it. I thought maybe she had a hair in her eye so I flushed her eye and watched her for a few hours. My dog started showing signs of pain and she was keeping her eye completely shut. I immediately took her to the vet ER and I didn't care that it was midnight by the time I arrived I just knew something was wrong with my dog. The vet took her back to put dye in her eyes to see what he could find and what he found shocked me. He said she had three serious cuts in her eye. A cut that reached behind her eye, one on the front of her eye and a hole in her eye the size of a pea and these injuries started to form ulcers. I told him she was at the groomers earlier and he said that was the answer to my dog's eye injury. He said had I not rushed to the ER my dog could've either lost her eye sight or it could've ruptured causing her to lose her eye. I had contacted Alicia and the next day and told her what had happened and Alicia denied everything. She argued with me over the phone and even argued with my sister. She didn't believe that I took my dog to the Vet ER at midnight and demanded that she call them herself to see if it was true. I told Alicia I would bring her the paperwork proof of me going there, what it showed when her eye was dyed, the photos of my dog, and the amount I spent to help her get all these tests done. Even still Alicia said it's not possible for ulcers to form in that short amount of hours yet she admitted that she's no vet and she wouldn't know but she believes that ulcers cannot form that quick. I again said I would bring the proof to show that it does form that quick. I brought Alicia all of the paperwork from the vet ER and she said she would pay the bills but she's been doing this for 20 years and she has never harmed a dog. She was giving me attitude and being so rude that it honestly shocked me because she's never spoken to me this way. My other dog still had an upcoming appointment with her and I told Alicia I wanted to cancel it and again Alicia was rude about it. Alicia has lost my business permanently and sadly I cannot even imagine what my dogs went through. The vet said with the first cut my dog would've shown a reaction to it so for my dog to have three cuts, he told me he himself cannot even think about what my dog went through. Please do your research about a groomers business before you bring your pets to them and also if you notice the attitude of the owner, please let that say something to you.

The last…read morefew times I've been here, they've been short-staffed, and coming from a retail background myself, I completely understand how tough that can be. Despite that, the manager, Miguel, is always working hard and apologizes for any delays while doing his best to help everyone in a timely manner. Today I witnessed a situation where a customer came in with a dog off leash. Miguel calmly and respectfully explained the store policy about keeping dogs on a leash for safety reasons. The customer became defensive and rude, even calling him names, but Miguel stayed professional the entire time and handled the situation with patience and respect. On top of that, he still went out of his way to help me find the dog food I needed while I was checking out. That kind of customer service and composure under pressure deserves recognition. Miguel is doing a great job, especially considering the staffing challenges. I hope corporate and other customers recognize the effort he puts in every day. People like him make the shopping experience better.

Team Member, Brianna, super helpful. Leadership skills goes from the top down. Most importantly, the owner, Julie, goes out of her way to insure that the dogs are happy, well cared for, free of stress and wonderfully groomed. And, the two dogs I bring in absolutely love going here to get their monthly grooming. When I tell them we're going to Bark Avenue, they explode with excitement and bolt to the car. It is obviously a high point in their monthly routine and has never happened with any other past groomers. Making certain that my dogs are happy means everything to me. Bark Avenue has never let me, or any of my past or present dogs down. I cannot imagine bringing them anywhere else. Just one other thing: They come out looking great!

They were very professional and they truly care about your time, preferences, and your dog. They have you put down half of the cost up front which worried me at first because I've never done that before, but it's because they make REAL appointments for your pup. When they say 10am they mean 10am. That is your time slot. They don't stick them in a crate and get to them when they can. My Olive was only there for 1.5hr! Because of this too there's not a ton of dogs in there making a ton of noise and stressing everyone out. They have you fill out a questionnaire beforehand and when you take them in they truly want to know what you want and take the time to do a consultation. Like a real hair appointment! They even have hair length examples. I am very very happy with the cut and their willingness to work with my particularity's because of Olives high maintenance coat and disasters in the past. 10/10 recommend!

The inside of this pet spa is so cute and I love that you can see the pets being groomed. It makes everyone involved feel more comfortable. I was specific with my requests and when I picked her up was pleasantly happy to see she looked just as I imagined. The cut and services were excellent. The communication and care of my dog was positive and the staff is sweet. I've returned a second time and received the same consistent grooming result. I don't have any experience with the boarding aspect of this business but it looks like it's great. My only pause is that prices recently went up and now my small dogs groom will be $75 from $65. While I understand cost is going up everywhere it just makes regular grooming a little less attainable. See you in a few months Fairy Tales!
