They remembered who I was which is always nice, and then told me to stop by and they can get it done. Came into the shop within 45 minutes of my call, and originally was planning to drop my car off and come back the next day since I was on a time crunch. They asked me what time i needed to be out by, and assured me they could get it done within 90 minutes which they did. I came in for an oil change. The cost was $49.99 after a discount code for a full service synthetic oil change, which was way less than what I was quoted for a synthetic blend oil change at Valvoline. They told me it would take 45-60 min. I walked over to Walmart and came back about 45 min later. The shop was shorthanded that day, so they hadn't worked on my car yet. They apologized and explained the situation. They brought my car in immediately, and I was out 25 min later. When I entered a customer was stating the shop was ripping her off. That was a bad start. The front man at the desk charged $220 to check a code out on my car relating to a check engine light. Auto Zone will do this for free. Then they said to swap out the thermostat it'll cost a lot due to getting top of the line parts. Total was $1,000 parts/labor. The dealership did it for under $400. I would avoid this shop. I may have just got a dishonest person, however they were trying to rip me off. I would strongly caution getting work done here. They tried to run the numbers up on me. I had just bought new rims and tires for my truck and asked if they were able to swap my tire pressure sensors. They were able to do the job and do it quickly! While I was waiting I was chatting with the manager at the front counter. Talking about a lift kit I was getting for my truck. He informed me that when I get the parts, they would be able to do the install without hesitation. I dropped my truck off in the morning and picked it up later that afternoon. Zero issues. I've never felt compelled to write a Yelp review until today. I came in for a simple oil change and left genuinely shocked by how poorly we were treated. The manager was incredibly rude from the moment we arrived, dismissive, condescending, and unwilling to honor the pricing we were quoted beforehand. They literally said "why do you drive this car if you can't afford our price"....uhhhh When we calmly asked for clarification, he became argumentative and clearly had no interest in helping or even being remotely respectful. The experience felt more like a confrontation than a customer service interaction. It was clear he did not care about retaining our business or treating people decently. First time at this location: Scheduled with Max through the call center on Tuesday. Had to cancel and reschedule due to work conflict (no issue at all.) Had my appointment (company appointment - Property Services Plus) today at 10am. Worked with Erik. He was fantastic! Really easy to communicate with, fun, super nice guy. When I mentioned something additionally wrong with the vehicle, he even told me it was something their shop did. I didn't even know that, saved me a whole trip someone else, and he bundled it into my invoice. He was able to add on repair work, service work, and the initial tire work I came in for and still have my vehicle back to me in just a few hours. the only good part about the service is that they got it done within an hour. customer service was terrible. answering the phone and talking to another customer while i was standing there and just a second ago being helped is unbelievable. why would you stop helping an in store customer to help someone on the phone. and it's also funny that the same guy i was dealing with accepted a burrito and a drink from a customer that was ment to be given to another coworker that left and said he would call the coworker it's ment for but as soon as the customer walked out the worker never called and just opened the drink and i assume he ate the food too. lazy worker that bosses around the actual people that do the services. read more

I would give zero star if there was an option. I called and scheduled to have tire alignment for my daughter's and my car. Wes (very professional and courteous) provided a price which I agreed to. That was for a one time alignment for $89.99 each car. So then my daughter and I came in on time on the day of service and checked in with Anthony (Wes was out sick). I told Anthony to work on my daughter's car first. Our appointment was at 9 and no one worked on the car until 40 minutes later. Then Anthony called and said that a $509 camber kit was needed to ensure accuracy in the alignment. I was shocked and told him I'm not interested in the kit. He said then the alignment alone will be $129.99. Again I was shocked and surprised. Told Anthony that Wes had quoted the $89.99 alignment cost for and told him to please contact Wes. He wouldn't and would not be able to honor the $89.99 price. He said he doesn't know why Wes gave me that $89.99 price. At this point I was pissed as an hour has passed and my daughter's car was not done. Anthony said if I don't like the $129.99 pricing then they can pull the car out of the shop and return it to my daughter as they have not started the alignment work. I was PISSED and Couldn't believe the attitude and unprofessional service coming from Anthony. He wasted more than an hour of my time and would not honor the quoted price. Every business has a few bad apples and I would not come here again unless their customer service improved towards customer. Rippppp offff ! This is my first time writing a review on this auto shop we've been customer for more than 7 ~8 years. Anyway, my husband is the one who takes care of our vehicles to this shop but this time, I brought in. I printed out 50 % off coupon online for oil change on my Subaru Crosstrek 2018. After taking out the tires for rotation, this new guy name John showed me and said I need front right and left lower control arm and ball joint replaced since its wearing off badly. He said it would be about 300 something for each so I texted my husband and he said to do. Looking back he did not give me the Final Number at that time and I didnt ask since I felt rushed in by him. After asking how long it takes he said about 3 hours. So I said I'll come back but he insisted that I do it today since the wheel is out anyway. And said he'll throw me in for free alignment and oil change. I came in at 12pm appt and approved them to do the job at around 12: 50 but the job didnt get to finish until 4pm. To my surprise, when I saw the invoice it says 2:08pm work authorized and finished at 16:07:58. (4:07pm) so it took 2 hours to do the work but the bill came out to be $1500 with $794 labor cost. I was in disbelief. I asked him why when he said it would be 300 something per side. But he says that the was price for parts only, labor cost was separate and he tried to even out the number. WHAT!!!! Who the heck gives pricing for parts only when you ask for the costs? We have always been all these years given "up front final cost including taxes" never have I been given run down on unclear costs. And the in invoice clearly says the job starting time at 2:08pm and ended it 16:07:58 (4:07pm) I knew I was never coming back to this again with four of our vehicles. I've showed the invoice talk to my husband and he agreed that the labor cost is way too much . The previous guy who knew us never ever was not clear on final costs after explaining the issue well. This guys was definitely rushing me when I initially said I'll come back since it would take too long, it must've been last minute sales for him since it was day before 4th of July. Idios!!! Needed my 2 front tires replaced, then aligned . However their team foolishly replaced the two back tires which were completely fine. Not only did they ignore our instructions to fix the front (which is a crime), they also committed unauthorized work (we authorized work for the front, not the back). Absolutely horrible. I had a coupon from another repair shop in Poway for an a/c recharge so I went there instead of Evans. The shop took photos and told me everything they recommend and the most urgent was the front shocks. They told me the original Kia shocks were still on there and are way overdue. I am not sure what they sent me a picture of. Fortunately I keep good records and I knew I paid Evans to replace them less than 40K miles ago. So I went to Evans. I was expecting to tell them they ripped me off but that wasn't the case. I was greeted by Ernesto and I told him my story. He said I needed to talk to the manager. Since I don't speak "car" I don't think the manager understood what I was saying. Ernesto said "what she is saying is there should be after market parts on there for instance KYB". Exactly what I was trying to say! Then Ernesto said what he would do for me is put my car on the rack right now and take a look. About 10 minutes later he comes and says I want to show you that they are KYB so they were replaced! The way Ernesto helped me I have to say that he has really good people skills. He knows how to treat customers and I want management to know that they have a very valuable employee. I am surprised that he is not a manager. read more

I came here to get a replacement tire for my car. They had the tire in stock and got it replaced in about 55 minutes. The customer service is no nonsense and to the point. It's conveniently a block away from five guys hamburgers and other restaurants so you can grab some lunch while you get your new tire changed. Prices were very reasonable and Yelp had a discount coupon which always helps out! There is seating outdoors for those who wish to wait for their car. It's property spaced out for COVID safety. Once the car was done, and parked out front, it did take a little long to process and get my keys. But overall, this is a good place for reasonable prices and reliable service. I came into this shop to get new tires. I paid $516 for a buy 3 get 1 free deal. Supposedly, these are top-tier quality tires, but they really are not. They are economy brand tires. We were also told that the control arms need to be fixed, and it will cost an additional $2200 otherwise they don't recommend for us to drive the car (for safety). I took my car to another shop, and it turns out my control arms are perfectly fine. What happened to humanity and honest people? Please stay far away from this shop! read more

I have been to this Evan's in Poway twice now for the same repair and it has not been fixed either time, even after spending close to $3000. I went in to get my breaks fixed since they were making a squeaky noise and grinding when I would break hard and they told me the price and repairs. The amount was too high so I only got a few things done hoping it would fix the problem but it didn't so I came back again. The next time they told me the problems and I got everything fixed to ensure my breaks would be good and now here I am months later and nothing with my breaks has changed. What did I repair if my breaks are still having the same problems?! I would not recommend since they can't seem to understand my needs as a customer. I should also note that the front of house staff who were helping me each time were very friendly and nice people! read more

My FIRST and LAST experience with Evan's Tire. They advertise "alignment" but do not do a full alignment - but, referred me to a shop that does. I was hoping to have the alignment done at the same time as getting new tires installed. NO GO. I was also given a 3 HOUR wait time! I was told they were understaffed.
