I have come here a few times because of how inexpensive a manicure and pedicure combo is here compared to other nail salons. I also like how a glossy a regular manicure looks. But what really stood out to me was there cateye manicure, which I tried for the first time since I had a holiday party to attend and wanted a 3D effect with the color gold since the theme was glitt and gold. I was so impressed on how beautiful it came out and it only cost $55. I say only because my sister pays $75 for the same service elsewhere. It's been more than 2 weeks and it still hasn't chipped. My best friend and I were in the market for a new nail salon, and we came across this one which is extremely easy for us to get too. It was super easy to make an appointment by messaging them on yelp. We went there around 1 pm on Friday and the place was pretty empty and they sat us down right away to do a pedi. Their pedicure chairs are super comfy. They have A HUGE range of color options and they even have certain colors where they have both the gel version and the non-gel version for those who want to match their mani and pedi but want to get a gel mani and a regular pedi which was great. For the pedi, they do exfoliate your feet and rub your legs with a hot stone which was the first time I experienced such things in a nail salon so it was a great experience. My toe nails were extremely nicely painted and they even provide disposable flip flops for those that did not wear flip flops there. The gel mani itself was really good, my manicurist took her time and she even apologized for taking so long which I thought was very thoughtful of her. This place actually has some of their UV lights installed into the manicure tables which was very innovative in my opinion. They do give you a keratin glove at the end to moisturize your hands and all their tools are individually packaged and autoclaved so I didn't have to worry about how clean the tools are. Overall, this is a cute new nail salon and I can totally see us coming back. The place itself is clean and does not smell like a typical nail salon because they do not do acrylics and the place itself is huge and everyone was really nice and professional. The bill came out to be $45, the gel mani was $25 and the regular pedi was $20. read more

SLOPPY SLOPPY SLOPPY! avoid this place at all cost. My recent visit to Mini Nail & Spa left me extremely dissatisfied, all thanks to the incredibly sloppy nail technician who worked on my nails. From the moment I sat down, it was evident that the nail technician lacked any attention to detail/professionalism. It wasn't busy at all, but he was very rush/sloppy, which immediately raised my concerns about the quality of his work. My nails were filed haphazardly, resulting in uneven lengths and jagged edges. Not to mention he didn't even bother to cut my cuticles for my pedi section...... Moreover, the gel application was a disaster. He applied it with complete disregard for clean lines and smooth coverage. Some nails went beyond the nail bed, leaving my cuticles stained and messy, I had to fix it myself on the spot because it felt extremely uncomfortable with the gel attached onto my skin, some nails were not applied evenly leaving a tiny gap where has not been applied! Lastly, he asked me to apply hand lotion myself..........Considering the hefty price i paid ($66), i expected a level of professionalism and expertise that was sorely lacking. This place is a scam. The workers here are extremely rude. They don't take complaints lightly. They don't like it when you tell them they're doing something wrong. They are always talking bad about customers. I came in to do sns dipping powder. The powder was so thick on my nails. I asked the lady if she can buff it down as it was so thick where my nails were round on the tips. She took it offensively, rolled her eyes and sighed. First time customer here, it was around 10am on a Saturday morning. It was not busy yet my nail lady seemed to be rushing through my pedicure. She exfoliated my legs for 2 seconds then proceeded to use hot stone for 2 seconds .. I mean why even bother using the hot stone. Obviously just for show to seem "fancy". Then she gives me the briefest and worst massage that lasted 10 seconds. There were no other customers waiting yet she seemed to be rushing to get to something else? Or she is just terrible and lazy. I think her name was Joy. Oh and she used the nail filer to push back my cuticles.. OUCH!! I have never had that done.. does she know there's an actual tool for that. WTH!!! Where was she trained. Despite all of that, I will give this place a second chance, but Next time I'll request for anyone but her. The only reason I even gave 2 stars instead of 1, is because it's clean and uses brand new filing kit unlike other nail salons in the Bensonhurst area. The staff were nice but that's not enough to keep a business going. You actually have to provide the full service for EACH and EVERY paying customer. Recently moved to the area desperately needed to find a new nail salon that's close by. My usual go to stop is in bay ridge. Stumbling upon yelp for suggestions I found mini nail spa, saw some great reviews let me give it a try immediately I regretted it as I sat down. I came in for SNS and spa pedicure and let me tell you I been to many top salons, and this one here was not sanitary. For my hands, the nail tech whom I later found out was the owner/manager took out a cuticle cutter from god knows where on the side of the table. Not wrapped individually not even in the sanitary oven. The carelessness with not being careful with my cuticles, not even buffing down my nails from the dip powder after I specifically said I liked them thin not a thick layer on my nail bed. One of my nails were broken and the tech working me didn't know how to repair it. No lotion, no hot towel. I'm a very fair client, i never demand as most would, but the appearance of my hands I take very serious due to the profession I am in. Within 24hrs, my SNS started to crack! Mind you, I can speak the languages and yet they still talked about me and others around NON-STOP, assuming I didn't understand. Spa pedicure wasn't worth raving about. Honestly the price is a bit high for the lack of standards and sanitary equipment issue is not worth the hassle. Ladies we all know the saying, you get what you paid for. In this case, I paid a lot and I expected to be above and beyond. I don't mind paying, but this is clearly robbery and poor customer service. What a waste! Never again read more
