The staff is extremely helpful and kind, and really take the time to give you a tour and explain everything in detail to you. The prices are very reasonable, and I loved that they had a package to try out all the other beds! They have that option at other salons I've been too but there's usually an upgrade fee to try out the different beds so this was very nice! The salon itself is very clean and has a welcoming atmosphere! An added bonus, not only do they offer tanning but they had massages, they do nails, AND have a dance studio in the lower part of the business. I've been looking for a dance studio for awhile now but everything was always out of budget. But the prices here were beyond affordable, I will definitely be signing up for the classes as well! I highly recommend this place, it has a very personal touch to it, and the staff actually take their time to make sure they can help and answer your questions. This is definitely a great place to start tanning if you've never gone before because they walk you through the process and help you figure out starting times and keep it all logged! First the girl could barely look up, and when I asked her about info that I could take with me, she said we don't have anything like that, but we have this sheet. I said but can I take it with me? Uhm...no, but you are welcome to take a picture of it with your phone. I said no thanks! I'll just go back to my regular salon, that DOES have printed hand outs right on the desk! And SHE smirked and said OKAY! I will say mine was the only car in the parking lot and they didn't have anyone even IN the salon tanning! This is poor customer service when you don't have a pricing guide, or business cards even, sitting on the counter top. It is sooo close to my home, but I WILL continue to drive to J&N all the way across town from me because they have fantastic counter people and wonderful customer service.

We were planning to get manicures, but with that attitude, we promptly left and took our business elsewhere. The next time I went in was to tan in the beds. Again, it was just "meh". The prices were outrageously expensive for any sort of "package" (aren't those supposed to be a better deal than the single use!?). The beds seemed outdated. They looked outdated, there were little fans in the rooms to cool you, instead of built-in fans in the beds. There were CD players? With radios in them? Very outdated. No music playing, so while tanning it was awkwardly quiet. Not to mention they don't offer any type of discount or package for students. And no I'm not talking high school students, I'm talking college students who pay thousands of dollars for an education who do not have $100 + to buy a monthly tanning package. Poor service, outdated equipment, &overpriced for what you get. A very "meh" experience.

Their beds are new, clean, and serviced constantly. I've been a client here for 6 months and I have never seen a bulb out in one of the beds. The girls are prompt and efficient at the front plus super friendly. I never feel like they are pushy on trying to sell me something either. I've visited both south Elgin and Elgin locations. They have quite a few beds, they have the spray tans too (in the actual spray stand up unit), they have a ton of products to chose from also. Check them out!

'm going to start with the associates are very nice. I needed to get a base tan before going on…read morevacation. After a long and length process to have me buy a tanning package, which I declined, the total cost of 3 tanning sessions and the cheapest bottle (without tax) of tanning lotion, $60, Total was about $190. My first session, (bed #12), was awesome with the misting feature and air conditioning , It was absolute outstanding. I did notice that the room floor was filthy and there was lotion on the walls. That was concerning at the least. My second visit was very different. I arrived in the early evening and was promised that I would be using the same bed, but, in a different room. That was fine with me! Once I entered the room, I attempted to start the bed which it was not the same. Very different way to start the bed where the power button was on the wall .the original bed started inside the bed. I had no clue how to start the bed. I called the front desk from my cell phone while in the bed and was immediately put on hold. After waiting for approximately 3 1/2 minutes, I finally was able to raise the associate at the desk. The associate at the desk informed me that this particular bed needed to power up with the power button on the wall instead of on the bed as before. After that, I turned the bed on and everything was fine. During the 10 minutes session, I hadn't received the periodic misting feature? The session was over. I exited the tanning bed, got dressed and spoke to the associate at the front desk again. I obserserved the associate on her cell phone with the speaker feature on talking to a friend, I'm guessing, at the front desk. I informed her of the issue not having the misting feature. She immediately informed me that she wasn't sure why that wasn't working then replied, "oh, it must be out of mist? That's a two person job. One person has to be at the desk while the other person refills the bed. No one else is here so sorry.". After speaking with the associate for a few minutes, I was expecting, a credit towards a month pass. Something for the aggravation. Yet nothing was offered A few days later, I returned to the salon again and requested the bed that I had the first time, I asked, and I was informed that the bed did have misting agent within it. I informed the associate at the desk of what had transpired a few days before as for the reason I was asking. She was very nice, but, again, did not offer for me to speak to a manager or make any reparations for the situation. I finished my tan and left. I don't expect to return again. It has nice beds, if they are working properly, needs a really good deep cleaning, but, entire experiance really left a bad taste.
