His mentality was one of treating me as if I'd never been to a bar before and "testing" me on my beverage orders. It was quite odd. Our waitress took a long time to come and check on us, forgot to bring us our drinks, forgot to bring our food to us (the waiter serving the table next to us brought it... he was doing a great job and kinda wish we had him instead lol), and took forever to come pick up our check. Just overall felt like we were questioning where she was the entire time. We got the focaccia bread with side of vodka sauce, togarashi fries, tenderloin skewers, and oysters (forgot to get a photo). The food was good and the cocktails were refreshing. My favorite was the focaccia with the vodka sauce. The fries were also crispy and flavorful.

I'm going to leave my honest review while also noting what I saw from other people -FOOD is actually really good here! And it's gotten better since they first opened. They added a lot of stuff recently. My first time there I had a wrap that was huge and really good, fries are epic. -DRINKS Their beer wall is literally local, not "fake local" with Chicago beers lol. They have a really wide range of things at the bar and cocktails were cool, but I haven't tried too many of them. -GAMEPLAY has content deals going on, huge selection of games, impressive variety for the space. -VIBE is EPICCCCC. They hit the sweet spot for being kid friendly, corporate friendly, and college frat boy friendly all at the same time. Super rare to be able to pull that off. It's laid out well and designed well for that to happen. I've seen moms work at the bar tables with a beer and lunch whole their kid goes to play games. I've been there myself with kids around and during late night hours and never once felt like I was around a bunch of children or a bunch of belligerents. Impressive. Good for LITERALLY anyone and everyone. -STAFF has been pretty helpful 10/10 times. I feel like they're all super kind which reflects on the management in my opinion. When I've had a problem or noticed someone else was a bit upset or hadn't gotten fast service on busy hours, they seemed to be willing to problem solve (I like to eavesdrop). I think they're well trained to work with customer service in mind, again has to be reflecting on management, -NO CASH! This seems to be the new norm at a lot of places, and they don't do any extra CC fees that literally every other business has. Honestly, I've seen some people that maybe had a bad experience and they could have been more understanding before reviewing, but I've been the same way. All that said, I love this little gem in St Charles and it's nice to have some variety in options out here. I want to see small businesses do well so they've got my loyalty for sure!

I don't want to sit at the bar next to your hyper pre-teen. The food is self serve. You order via your phone. Pick food up at the kitchen window. Food was decent enough. Plastic utensils. The bartenders (and I was one back in the day) were inattentive. Asked the busboy, who sort of lurked behind the bar washing glasses from time to time, for a box to go and he pointed to a table set up for to go orders. Thanks, man. Charging a 3% credit card fee when you don't accept cash is absolutely lame. Yes, debit cards are free. I didn't see that until after I paid the bill. There is a pour your own draft system with about a dozen beers but that doesn't impress me. An undersized bags, bocce and putting green. Some decent new arcade games. I guess it works just fine as a Chuck E Cheese alternative with fewer games and a full liquor bar. I can safely say that I won't be going here again for a date night or otherwise.

The birria was flavorful while being tender and not being too salty. The white cheddar and chihuahua cheese added a small amount of extra saltiness and a bit more fat, which matched well with the chipotle aiola. The duck poutine was incredibly flavorful, while sitting on the edge of potentially being too bold. The fries were incredibly crispy though there was quite a bit of gravy on the dish and the white cheddar cheese curds did a great job of keeping the entire dish hot throughout the meal, while adding a little bit of extra flavor. The bacon and onion added some umami though it almost made the dish a bit too salty and the duck confit added a nice protein element. Overall a little pricey, but given the more unique menu and quality of both the flavors and textures, it's worth the premium. The food here is definitely memorable and in line with excellent options available in Geneva.

Frank Capalano was the reason we went in, but the cool vibe kept us there for a few hours. The vintage building looked great on the outside. The big brick building looked like there was some history behind those doors. We walked into a dark room with two levels, a big bar flanking one side of the room and a stage with a dancefloor. I could tell people have fun here. We snagged a small table and listened to the 4-piece band while sipping on an ice-cold beer. The bartender Chris was fantastic. He got busy but never forgot us. There was a popcorn machine which was great, but I was hoping for a meal or at least an appetizer, since I had just gotten off work. It does have the word PUB in it's name. Oh well, the music kept us too busy all night to think about food. The place seems as though it has gotten a facelift. It looks restored not renovated. Everything was super clean, which is always a good thing. I really enjoyed my night at The House Pub and would definitely stop in again the next time I am in town.

This year there were more exhibitors and kudos to those vendors who came from out of state, especially Wisconsin, who wove their way through flooded roads to get here. The route runs through three different roads and lasted a good 2 hrs. They featured a good number of high school bands and other lively entertainment, including a ton of Shriners. Our favorite was a South Side performance group and the Jesse White Tumblers. Neither disappoint. We went with a large group of of friends who corded off and staked a tent for our groups use. If you're going with a large group you'll want to arrive early and do the same, as the parade route gets pretty packed. Cheers.

My Fiance and I love to walk up and down 3rd St., visit the shops, stop for some good food and eat some delicious sweets. And Swedish Days takes every aspect of this quaint downtown, puts a carnival in it, some good music and a touch of small town to bring Swedish Days together. After this year I can easily say I would not frequenting Swedish Days just like the MANY people I met there from the area and even from out of state!

Spring Bluff Nursery

Tried out their U-Pick Vegetables and zinnias with my son today. It was a great time. We picked a…read moremason jar's worth if zinnia's for $7. We also picked some San Marzano tomatoes, green beans, cucumbers, carrots, and sweet peppers. I would love to buy some chicken eggs next time. My son also enjoyed feeding the goats and can't wait to come back to feed the chickens. All of the staff members were friendly, but Ken was amazing. Even my son said, "He was super nice!"

Since the new owners, Not Just Grass, bought the business from Tim Norris and his family and still…read moreuse the Spring Bluff name, the quality of certain services has gone down. My recent experience is an example of this, I have been a long time customer since Mr. Norris owned the business; I was planning on continuing to use the services of the new owners/Not Just Grass as usual for all my landscape needs. Last April 2024, after working out details in March, I had old shrubs removed from the front of our house and new and different types planted. However, the work supervisor (Tyler) did not come with the work crew to lay out the planting plan, he had given them a work diagram, so unfortunately some of the shrubs were planted too deep, spacing was wrong on one side, and no soil amendments added, etc. I had asked for dirt and mulch to be added, but no mulch was added around the new plantings (I had to do a couple of bags myself around each plant later to help keep the soil moist after watering). They also left deep ruts in the yard/grass with equipment while removing the old, large yews. I contacted Tyler about the ruts and he did have them come back to fix that, however a year later now and the area is still sunken and no grass in spots (I will have to do a proper repair myself again). Tyler did not come back to supervise that original rut repair work. Flash forward to Spring 2025 in March, I contacted Tyler again because 1 of the shrubs had died last Fall (it was planted too deep) and another also looked dead at the time (before leaves started coming out), I let him know this and asked about replacement plants since they were under the 2 year plant warranty that Mr. Norris always provided and currently, Not Just Grass still honors. I never got a response, it was basically crickets. I sent text, e-mail, I called and left a message. I called the office and spoke to Kris who relayed my concern/messages on, but still no communication/follow-up from Not Just Grass/Tyler. Finally, I had run out of patience and had enough of the poor quality of service and called the owner, Greg V. (spoke to Kris again because he was out) and I also sent an email to the plant nursery. I explained to Kris and in my email(s) the lack of communication on their part and that I just wanted a replacement plant for the dead one (that I expected the same variety, a certain size to match the ones that did survive, and for it to be healthy), and that I would come to the nursery to pick it up myself. I also explained that I would be taking my business elsewhere from now on because of the poor service and quality of work. The owner did respond once in an email trying to tell me that Tyler had reached out on May 9, 2025 (nope, I never received a text, phone call or email from him and give me a break - May 9th 2025, when I had been trying to communicate with him since March 2025!!). The owner offered to have them come plant the replacement plant or I could pick it up as I had told them that was my plan. I replied that I hadn't heard from Tyler and that I would come pick it up and what I expected the quality to be, etc. When I went to pick up the plant, I was basically given the cold shoulder by Tyler (landscape supervisor) and Mackenzie (the plant nursery manager), I did see them, but they ignored Kris when she asked Mackenzie if she wanted to talk to me, Kris was told they were busy as they whizzed past us. Tyler indicated to us that the plant was down at the end of the nursery building. Kris, their Admin. who is basically in the office the majority of the time taking care of phone calls and orders, was actually the person who helped me find the plant (it did have my name on it) and load it into my car for me. The soil in the container was very dry, but that also made it easier to lift, and helped us out. I watered it well when I got home. So, there's my recent experience with this company (Not Just Grass) still using the Spring Bluff Nursery name, but not providing the quality of service, plant knowledge, and dependability that the former owners provided to their old and new customers. Also, their prices have gone up! It's just sad and no way to treat loyal customers! I have found another landscape company, thankfully, who have already planted the replacement shrub, added soil amendments, fixed the other planting that was struggling, and nicely mulched the area the way it should have been done last year.

I found food prices to be REALLY steep: I paid $15 for a 6" corn dog and dry cheese curds that had been sitting under a warmer. ENTERTAINMENT: In the evening there were only carnival games (4), a tall slide, and a bouncy castle, and a stage with live music. During the day there are specific events (garage sale, book sale, 5k). People set up lawn chairs, so note you can bring those. Most went "parade style" and set them up en masse to claim spots, and then left elsewhere. Overall? Meh. Very underwhelming, at least in terms of attending Saturday evening. I suppose it's halfway decent if you live in the neighborhood and just want to chill and listen to music with your family and neighbors.

This is a 2 day event selling over 150 different types of native flowers,grasses,shrubs and trees. There were many volunteers around to ask questions and get recommendations. Plants are not restocked daily so best is to go early on the first day. It gets crowded and with so many people pulling wagons and carts,patience is required! They do have a few trays to use but best is to bring your own boxes. Cash,check or credit cards are accepted but I wish the checkout area was in a different location than where the plants were being sold as the lines for checkout were very long. Proceeds benefit the Dupage Forest Preserve.

She was later told she couldn't even go on the same ride she first went on.

We met some friends for drinks and an early dinner at Even Flow on a Sat. night. The place looks amazing. It has a laid back feel with awesome rock and roll touches. The decor was great. The food was fantastic! We split a bunch of Small Plates to start with. The mushroom wontons were very yummy. It was a nice change to go to a bar and find such unique appetizers. It was a step up from the usual bar food. I had the Shepard's Pie and it was delicious. Most of the people with me had sandwiches and they were huge! We ended up splitting three different desserts and they were all so tasty. It was fun to try the different beers they had on tap. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the selection and helped steer each of us towards beers we may prefer. We heard the buzz about this place on Facebook and decided to check it out. We felt very comfortable right away. The wait staff was attentive and quick. I made it a point to meet the new owners (Mike and Nick) who were on hand all night checking on everyone (good to see). I wished them good luck on their new venture. The food was good, not great but it was their first week being open so I am sure that will improve. Really cool place in an old bank building. We saw this band called West 34 and these guys were outstanding!! I have seen many local bands over the years but this band was really good with a great variety of lesser known tunes which I like. Too many bands are out there doing the same songs....YAWNNNN!!! If the service and music at this place is going to be typical of what I experienced I expect they will do very well. So happy this place opened up in Geneva! We needed this.This review may be harsh as well.... Contrary to the horrible review above regarding the food, I as well as my friends and family think their food is pretty darn good. Their scallops are fantastic, and their burger is great, and their steak salad is cooked medium rare as meat should be. You can go to McDonalds for abused well done meat. Its a bar.... and I cant think of another live music venue with seared scallops (cooked perfectly) on a menu. Give them a break. And their food is priced the way it is because they normally do not charge cover and if they do, its like 3 bucks. Go to the city, get a cheap overcooked greasy burger and pay a $15 cover. Do not fire the Chef. What an amazing place. There is nowhere else one can go in the west suburbs to experience all that even flow has to offer. Let's start with the food... Great menu with something for everyone. Have been there several times for dinner and have enjoyed it all. Their burgers are unbeatable, and their ef blt with the egg is fantastic. Full bar with unique martini choices and constantly rotating craft beer options. (Try the cucumber basil martini!) The staff is friendly and attentive. The owners and management are hands on and good about seeing to it that their customers are happy. The bands they book are AWESOME, and you can tell a pretty penny has been put into the sound system because it is quality. This is not a crappy dive bar with some sub par entertainment, but instead a classy, fun place to enjoy a tasty dinner, great drinks, and talented bands. Highly recommended! read more

This place needs to get a new manager. The wait staff works hard but the manger Enesto ( spelling?) is a total A Hole. There where six of us. 4 of us where there and sat at a table. He wanted $100 to reserve the table since 4 out of 6 where there. I was but like, we already order drinks,. Total rude Ahole. We walked out, The band did not start yet and he refusd to give us are door fee back. , HEY - we paid for a band that never came on!! We recently celebrated a 50th birthday at this fantastic event venue, and it exceeded all expectations! The 80s rock band took us on a nostalgic journey with their classic hits, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Stopped in during Geneva festival wish I kept going... Charged a $5 cover for a good band and the sound was terrible could barely make out the songs. The bartenders as usual were aloof and not helpful. Waitresses service was excellent. Overall managed terrible and a waste of money. read more

Several to choose from including onion rings. Meaty choices among the entrees. There's burgers loaded with things like bacon, and macaroni and cheese with or without brisket toppings. Great place for happy hours. It's open daily even weekdays and has lots of specials. The food options include meaty things like burgers and wings.

We were greeted by our server who brought over waters and asked what we would like to drink. We ended up getting chicken nachos. They were good amd came to the table in a good time frame. Definitely big enough for two people. There was light music playing, so easy to hold conversations, tvs going and everyone seemed friendly that we came into contact with.

The wings were decent, but the menu described them as smoked, and I honestly couldn't detect any smoky flavor or aroma. My biggest complaint was the service. The waiter took our food and drink orders at the same time, but the drinks arrived much later than expected. In fact, we had already finished our appetizers by the time the beer was served. Since we visited around 2-3 PM and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, the delay was disappointing. Overall, the food was enjoyable, especially the garlic cheese curds. If I return, I'll probably order my drinks first and place my food order afterward to avoid the wait.
