Grabbed drinks here with a couple friends while roaming around Geneva. Overall, this place is just... fine. What I liked about it was the games they have on hand to keep you entertained: NES Classic (Duck Hunt!) and darts were enjoyed throughly by us! The downside: the bartender, during our visit, was less than pleasant. And I couldn't figure out what his deal was because I went to the bar once and ordered two rounds: one (beers) for us and a second (shots?) for a friend and her friends at the end of the bar - a serendipitous meeting then and there! His mentality was one of treating me as if I'd never been to a bar before and "testing" me on my beverage orders. It was quite odd. This was a neat little dive bar, just off the main pedestrian area of downtown Geneva. There were some cute, intimate booth options or a corner tucked away near the front that could accommodate a large group, plus standard bar seating. Service was fine enough - to get water, you had to get it yourself from a dispenser with flimsy plastic cups, but otherwise it was a nice little dive bar. read more

Nice bar in the heart of downtown Geneva. My wife and I stopped in here for a drink one day - it reminded us of a neighborhood bar in Chicago with elevated drinks but plenty of Old Style in case. Music was good and service was friendly. Will definitely be back! read more

My friend (27 y.o.) and I (25 y.o.) visited for the first time today. We were really excited and had been talking about trying it for months. The bartender looked at my friend's I.D. and said "do you want to leave now, or do you want me to keep this?", inferring that the I.D. was fake. We thought he was joking and laughed about it. I then stated that she is 27 years old and could get her passport or show him another form of I.D. She ended up showing her credit card as another form of I.D., to which he responded, "fine, what do you want to drink?" in a condescending done. He then stated that if he loses his job, it's our fault. The way that he handled the situation was extremely unprofessional and unkind. I let him know directly that his attitude was not appreciated, and that we would be leaving and not returning. I understand the importance of bars having strict regulations regarding legalities, however, we were of age and had proven so through the requested multiple forms of I.D, yet were still talked down to. I recommend that this establishment streamlines the process for I.D. regulation in order to avoid losing customers in the future. In the end, my friend will accept the compliment that she looks so young! read more

Shitty bar, do not give them any business. Came here with my parents and my 21 year old brother was denied service due to having a temporary ID. He also provided them with his vertical ID and passport to which they denied. We offered to have the cops verify but they "didn't want to do all of that". This was very contradicting, as the girl bartender who asked for his ID when we originally sat down accepted his temporary one and served him a drink. Beautiful take on an elevated dive bar from the same owners as The Walrus Room and The Alchemist. The General Manager named Chris is very down-to-earth and makes everyone feel welcome. Additionally, the bar staff all bring their own unique flair and personal touches to their craft. No full kitchen yet, it's in the works, but they've got plenty of bar bites from pizza to hot dogs to give you something to munch on while you imbibe. I really wanted to like this place because it's decorated so hip. But I cannot. Getting service is worse than pulling teeth. Sat at the bar Sunday afternoon during a calm time. An excellent addition to Geneva. More a lounge than bar vibe, however, could be whichever you want it to be, making it interesting and different than typical bars in the area. A great tap and beer list, a few select appetizer options, and a very cool retro design in the bathrooms make this a stand out place to go. Staff is friendly and patrons are expected to be on good behavior too (note the edgy warning on the menu when you're there!). One of the only late night places open until 2 am is a plus.
