A very divey and historic bar. Teresa "T" was our bartender and checked on us a couple times. We were just here for beverages. It's clean her and a pleasant family-friendly atmosphere. Touch Tunes juke box extra star! The food menu is your typical bar food. Hamburgers, fries, fried appetizers. We observed other patrons' food and just looked average. Liked this bar's vibe and will be back!

We started with a bowl of clam chowder soup, which was delicious. I had Avocado and Tuna melt, one guest had the beer battered fish fry and the other had cheese burger sliders with homemade fries. The food was very good and we will definitely be back. Give this local establishment a try if in Geneva

Nice chill place to grab a drink, good daily specials on drinks. Food is on the pricier side and typical bar options. Service is always quick and friendly.

Bartender to customer on NYE 2023-24: "Don't be a cocky bitch"..... It I could leave no stars on this review I would. What a joke this place is. There was a wedding at the location smack next to it that got married NYE We thought it would be cool to go to this bar afterwards, THE WHOLE PARTY. Well. Were we DAM wrong. This was the worst bar I have ever been to, never the less on New Year's Eve. There was at least 40-50 of us in there and we were already getting shut down at 1:10. It is BELOW FREEZING and we were all waiting for a wedding bus to get there that they were aware of. A SERVER/BAR BACK mentioned to us that we had to be out by 2am (understandable as it's a bar), but still kicked everyone out by 1:30. I've been a server for 6 years and had to work these days. You WANT people to be at your place for future and for better reviews than these. The so called "owner" who seemed to be the bartender was being rude and called one of the wedding guests a, and quote, "a cocky bitch" because she mentioned when the place actually closed. How sad. I've never been so humiliated and disgusted by a bar ever in my life.

Dam Bar is a somewhat small sports bar with great food. Plenty of screen to catch a game on. Well-located along the Fox River in Geneva. The food is really good, far better than I expected. Table service from the bartender was flawless.

    Steak sandwich and Bloody Mary.

On my…read morevisit here, I had the opportunity to try two dishes off the shareables menu and was super impressed with both of them. Service was also quick and friendly throughout the entire meal. The Birria egg rolls were a bit on the smaller side but made a big impression with its preparation. I've never had birria wrapped in anything as crispy as the wonton wrapper this was wrapped in. The birria was flavorful while being tender and not being too salty. The white cheddar and chihuahua cheese added a small amount of extra saltiness and a bit more fat, which matched well with the chipotle aiola. The duck poutine was incredibly flavorful, while sitting on the edge of potentially being too bold. The fries were incredibly crispy though there was quite a bit of gravy on the dish and the white cheddar cheese curds did a great job of keeping the entire dish hot throughout the meal, while adding a little bit of extra flavor. The bacon and onion added some umami though it almost made the dish a bit too salty and the duck confit added a nice protein element. Overall a little pricey, but given the more unique menu and quality of both the flavors and textures, it's worth the premium. The food here is definitely memorable and in line with excellent options available in Geneva.

I was disappointed that their beans have pork and they couldn't substitute for non-pork. Since the beans are in many menu items it really limited what I could eat. We got the corn ribs, flautas and burrito. The corn ribs were good and the flautas were okay. I really disliked the burrito because it had whole broccolini which made it impossible to take a bite. I felt like I was constantly pulled veggies out of the burrito rather than being able to take an actual bite. For drinks, I got a virgin Paloma was which just as pricey as an alcohol drink and had so much ice I finish it in 3 sips. It's a cool space but wasn't for me.

We initially tried to dine at Tia Carmen's downstairs, but the wait was too long--so we headed upstairs to Revolución instead. We were among the first guests. The service was friendly, though not particularly attentive. Our server didn't check in often, and we had to wait quite a while for water--thankfully, the busser eventually stepped in and kept our glasses full. The food was tasty overall. We weren't fans of the chips served with the guacamole; they were more like plain tortillas--dry and lacking salt. That said, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. My suggestion to management: even when it's slow, make sure tables have water and guests are checked on regularly. A little extra attentiveness would go a long way in improving the experience.
