Wow, what a joke of a place. Where do I even start. This place may have music but it's far from a music venue. Awkward layout with restaurant goers facing the entrance door and the stage tucked into a corner. The audio guy didn't know what he was doing and both band mixes were extremely loud. Most bars have earplugs for this reason. Complimentary earplugs. Not this place. They charge a dollar for earplugs. I order a beer. I'm thirsty so I'd like a glass of water with it...nah. Bartender says he can't do it and has to charge me for a bottle of water if I want one. At this point I realize this place won't stay in business much longer and promptly leave. The only redeeming quality is its location so I'm excited for when it closes and something, anything replaces it. read more

I am not criticizing the Restaurant itself. The food, service and drinks were great, but their choice of hiring bands is poor at best. Last night 10-12 of us went to see Libido Funk Circus for some dancing. We've seen them before and they were always flashy, fun and played a huge variety of music. Last night the first hour and a half they played so many oldies. Seriously, Dolly Parton, The Archies, Car Wash, a tribute to George Michael and an out of tune Bee Gees song. The walk out for me was when they played Trump songs, YMCA and Macho Man back to back. Given today's political climate that was in poor taste at best and I think me standing on a chair booing made a point. Come on band More Funk and Less Circus!!! I am a reoccurring customer and they consistently demonstrate poor service. I've had to stop paying credit because when I paid cash ( after they required me to give a card for security) they double charged me on both my card and cash multiple times. They did resolve the issue but not before I had to contact them about it. They also seem to consistently clear the tables of your unfinished drinks before you even leave. I am seriously thinking they don't want my business so will stop going. There are so many other places to go and be respected. read more

I was told, in writing, "for this show we are not taking any reservations." So my group arrived right at 7 p.m. when doors opened to snag a table. We went to sit at one...It was RESERVED. Then looking around, multiple tables were reserved. I asked for the manager twice and never did they come to see me. - It also says on the website that the cover will be less if you come early for dinner...Nope, charged full price, which was high at $15 a person. - They refused to give us water in a glass. The take drinks when you go to the bathroom and when you ask them about it, you get Motherf--ker are you telling me how to do my job!?! Screaming on top of her lungs! My brother got up to go get a manager and this server runs in front of him and screams at him, then she pushed my brother and ran for the bouncer and told him we choked her!! BEWARE OF CREDIT CARD FRAUD. I live in the area and have been here it many times, won't be returning, in Feb 2025. So, I spent $38 here and they charged my card $314.98 for a drink and a burger. I emailed them twice and called and they completely ghosted me, and I have to file a fraud dispute with my bank. Looking further into reviews on Yelp, etc. this seems to be a common occurrence at this establishment to give themselves tips and add On's with your cards. Let me start out by helping others with the bathroom situation. Sure there's just one stall each on the main floor. Then there's another bathroom upstairs, and hey, there's another bathroom (the largest) in the basement. So, please -- check out all 3 floors or ask your server where the bathrooms may be located. Moving on.... This used to be one of my regular go to dance places. The food is decent (above bar food), good drinks, and the bands are superb. They get great local bands that are a lot of fun. Servers, bartenders are super friendly and they go out of their way to try to make sure everyone can find a seat and get their drink and food, even when the place is wall to wall people. Locals will adopt you too at their tables. All together friendly, local place on a nice street in Geneva. It used to be a bank. I've not been back since covid began, simply because I've never heard or read that they addressed the virus issue. Geneva pretty much does it's own thing but some venues will post what they're doing to keep others safe. That being said, this is a very pretty venue, great bands, good food & drinks, usually no cover or $5, and there are LOTS of BATHROOMS!! ha ha read more

Second time we have been here in two years and our amount paid is different than what we signed for both times! We had a woman offer to pay for one round of drinks and they not only put it on their tab but also on ours. When I confronted them about it the server denied that it happened and refused to take it off the tab. I only left a $5.00 tip because I already overpaid for two drinks and when it cleared my account it was $17 over what it should have been with the $5 tip! We also have a second charge for $37 that we never signed for and have no idea what it's for. Called and left a message with no response. Service is terrible I'm not one to complain, coming from someone who also worked in the food industry I am very understanding but the waitress kept confusing our tabs. At the end I ended up getting charged $25 TWICE. I only ordered a $14 drink plus tip so I was added someone else's drink to my tab. Nice place, big and spacious. Love the decor. I attended a concert here with some friends. We reserved a table by the stage and I was glad we had the best seats in the house. We ate dinner here, I had a Caesar salad with chicken, that was just ok. Drinks were pricy and not strong at all. Service was the worst, not sure if it was because it was so crowded but we were kind of forgotten. We had to literally go find our server. She ended up getting our bill wrong at the end of the night. This is a music venue and the stage was set for a band, but I was too early for the show. Beer was cold but a little flat. Reasonable beer selection, except the only IPA was a session IPA, the lighter, less hoppy version of my beer of choice. Service was fine. I came here last night for the first time for the Diamonds in the Rough drag show. I love drag shows (one of my good friends is a professional drag queen in the city), so it was fun to be able to see a show while visiting my parents in the suburbs. So, A+++ for EvenFlow opening their doors to the a group of drag queens from the city, and props to the patrons for embracing it! I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout and the behavior of the guests (I was expecting the patrons to be super cringey, but only a few super drunk people crossed into that category...like the girl who kept putting dollar bills in her mouth to try to get the drag queens to kiss her to take the tip.). The space itself is nice. It's smaller than I expected, but the two story setup works well. I didn't order anything so I can't speak to drink prices or service, but the servers walking around seemed to be pretty prompt throughout the night. I also like that they have a little dance floor area, because it was SRO and if it was filled with tables, it would have felt much more crowded. The things I didn't love: the article in the paper promoting the event specifically said there was no cover charge, and there wasn't anything on the Facebook event page or their main website indicating a cover charge, but we got to the door and there was a $5 cover. I only had $4 in singles (I never carry cash), so fortunately someone else covered my cover charge. There was also some discrepancy with what time the actual drag show started through various media outlets (some said 9, some said 9:30, the bouncer said 10, and the actual start time was around 10). Also, one of my friends said that they didn't have the upstairs bathroom open, which meant that the only option was a one-person bathroom on the main level, which is insane when the crowd is that large. But, I would definitely go back for a specific event. It sounds like they're planning to do another drag show for Halloween, so I would totally go see it. read more

If you ever find yourself in Geneva you need to check out EverFlow. It's a great music legend themed bar set in the old bank of Geneva, it even has the vault still. They had fantastic live music and a great spot to dance the night away. The staff is so friendly and they have many canned drinks and beers to choose from. If you a lucky they might even give you some props and let you dance a song or two on the stage. Definitely a local spot but don't miss it if you are visiting. read more

On the main floor, the women's bathroom is a single bathroom that never seems to be in great working order. Last night the toilet didn't flush unless you reached into the tank and manually lifted it. The manager DOES NOT CARE about the customer. I have tried to contact her FIVE TIMES!! I ordered an angry orchard, I saw the bartender open the bottle and when I took my first sip it tasted a bit funky. I took a few more sips over the course of 15 minutes, within 30 minutes I felt nauseous. I had to leave and on the way to my car I threw up numerous times. Nice hang out in downtown Geneva. Came here on a Saturday night around 8pm. There was a $5 entrance fee since a cover band was playing that night. It was pretty packed, but there was room at the bar to sit. Service was good, right after we sat we were tended to and the bartenders checked on our drinks regularly. I really liked the atmosphere in the bar, it was my type of scene and decor. Their bathroom is really nice, but with that being said, there's only one toilet per gender. So be prepared to hang out in line during a busy night. The drinks were decent, I got a vodka cranberry but it felt a little weak for my liking and for the price I paid. We stayed for a couple hours and actually left shortly after the band started playing. The cover band wasn't my favorite. read more

Cool joint. A group of us stopped in here on a Saturday night, our 4th of four stops that evening. This was a nice capstone. They had a 90's cover band playing, so a $5 charge to get in. It was money well spent. The band rocked for four sets I believe, maybe 10 songs per set. While I didn't care for everything they played, they wisely catered to the masses and seemed to hit on a little something for everyone. Drink service in here was quick. We had a waitress coming to our table and if we wandered about, the bar was always open and easily accessible, even with a solid crowd on hand. Dictionary definition of a shithole place = EVENFLOW. Did we make a mistake coming here? Absofuckinglutely. Showed up to the "90s party night" at 10:50 (they advertised 2 sets at 9:30 & 11:00pm). My friend & I stood at the bar for 20minutes trying to order drinks. The bartender skipped over us 5 times in her rounds. What I don't understand is, how they split the bar for their bartenders. 1 side had 2-3 servers & only 1 on the other side. She deliberately served the men and passed over the girls who wanted drinks. Since they weren't checking at the door, the bartender must have assumed we were underage Asian girls. It was our mistake not sending the husbands for drinks. All we needed was an eye contact & "be right with you". Finally, we got a service from the underage looking blonde boy. Because we didn't want to wait another 30minutes for the second round, we ordered 10 beers for the 5 of us. And the underage boy left the drinks on their side of the bar (the side ledge they make drinks for patrons). How do we reach that? Regardless of how busy you are, what sort of shitty service is that? I assume this place gets busy, very busy at least tonight. Why the **** do you have tables diagnose in the middle of the place and bar stools at the bar? Your establishment is tiny & when you reach a certain capacity, maybe take away stools. Also advertise correctly. We left without touching our second round of drinks we ordered. From a person with over 10 years of restaurant service, I have never been in a place run by this kind of incompetent people. We have been going to evenflow for 4 years and last summer we parked our Harley in front of their door, under a street lamp. Two hours later, back seat of bike was missing and evenflow wouldn't let us look at their cameras to see what happened. So last night we went again, we wanted to step out and move the bike closer to the place. We asked the doorman if we could leave our new $7.00 drinks on the ledge and he said no problem and that the drinks will be fine. 2 minutes later we come back and the drinks were gone. Doorman said oh well too bad , I guess you need to buy a new one. Wow! We complained to the little skinny bartender/ bar manager with the obnoxious glasses and he didn't care either way and just said too bad buy another drink. He walks up to us and charges us another $7 and was very rude. We mentioned how we come here a lot and spend a lot of money and how bad things always happen here with the staff. He didn't care at all.. Just horrible customer service and treatment. The food is bland and over priced. I guess we learned our lesson on Geneva bars. SO very disappointed in the establishment. We made plans to go there for my husband's 60th birthday - DUALING PIANO's was on the agenda and we always enjoy that show. Since they don't take reservations - I called and she said that as long as we are in by 7pm we should be good.....and we did. HOWEVER they never adjusted their website to say that they had made a MISTAKE in the agenda. Dualing Piano's was NOT that night - it was Pearl Jam - UGH!!!!! That is a major PLANNING MISTAKE that should be corrected as soon as it is posted! I will never return here again! The place is a bit dirty (but it is a bar) and the service very slow. We rented the entire space for our 1st wedding anniversary party with around 80 guests and had a blast! Christine was awesome to work with, and since we live out of state we communicated primarily through email. She was very organized, and ensured things went smoothly the day of the event. All of the staff that we interacted with were so much fun. The Evenflow sound engineer Andrew took on MC duties, and managed our song playlists throughout the night. He even noted that "Closing Time" was on our playlist, and played it for the last song. We are so glad that we chose Evenflow for our anniversary party as the ambiance, sound system quality, and staff really made the event all the more memorable! read more

Love the variety of bottled beers and love the local bands and live band Karaoke offered here. The atmosphere is cool, it's an old bank in historic downtown Geneva. This is the type of place that is a mix of old and new, aka all ages are represented here and all ages appreciate each other. I used to go here every week for the open mic nights and for the wings and beer. First off, the staff is atrocious. Utterly lacking in professionalism and has no regards for customers. It's a wonder why they work in a customer service job when they clearly hate people. Oh wait, they don't hate certain men though. Everyone else good luck. You will wait for 25 minutes until someone recognizes you, then they will take your order like they don't want to be there, and to top it off, you have to wait 20 minutes for a bottled beer! You are better off going up to the bartender and getting your drink and then sitting down. But be careful, once your waitress realized you did, she will snub you for the rest of the night. So you are the. Forced to order your food from the bartender which is surprisingly more convenient than the waitress. When I went there, there was a middle aged woman behind the bar and she was the only one who could provide adequate service. Speaking of bad servers, I was drinking my beer and there was about 2/5 left, and the server came around and picked up my beer to throw before I was close to being done. Excuse me? I told her I wasn't finished with it and she stated "I hope it's worth it" wow how disrespectful. I will never go back to this place ever again! read more

It's a real shame, but I don't hold out high hopes for Even Flow staying in business. Twice now, my husband and I have gone there on a Friday or Saturday night, and found the place completely empty (well, five patrons...that's "completely empty" in my book). Nearby bars, such as Stockholm's, are packed to the gills, but Even Flow can't seem to draw anyone over, despite offering live entertainment. Most recently, we ended up at Even Flow after being told by the hostess at The Office (in St. Charles) there was a 50-minute wait for a table on a Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. Once again, a handful of people had congregated at Even Flow, most of whom came and went during the hour we spent there. There was a live keyboard player, who did a lovely job, I might add, but no one even clapped when he finished his round! It's surprising that Even Flow is so dead on a weekend, because the décor is fantastic. They did a wonderful job converting the old bank into a bar - keeping many of the original features, but giving the bar a contemporary feel at the same time. I suspect that the food and drink prices might keep the crowds away. My husband and I had three drinks between us (two beers and a glass of wine), an appetizer, and a hamburger, and paid $47 including tip. A bit shocking! Worse, the food just isn't that great. The crispy fried mushroom appetizer I had last weekend was just about the blandest thing I have ever eaten. I wish I could say better things about this place, but the lack of a crowd and the overpriced, under par food leave it at two stars. read more

This was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish due to a combination of incompetent service and gross food. Our party of 3 ordered 2 appetizers, one entree each, and one person had a beer. The beer was served pretty promptly and tasted good, but after that is when things spiraled downward. The appetizers were served WITH our entrees, which was strike one against the appetizers. One of the appetizers they brought wasn't what we ordered, which was strike two against the appetizers. At that point we no longer wanted to provide an option for there to be a strike 3, so we just stuck with our one correct appetizer, which was the bruschetta. We thought it was overpoweringly onion-y and that the balsamic vinegar was rather sour. However, it was more edible than 2/3 of our entrees so I'll call it "mediocre" to be polite. As far as the entrees, the most positive review was from the member of our party who was actually able to consume the food that was brought to him, he had a BBQ cheeseburger and said it was "Okay, nothing was wrong with it". The other member of our party ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, and requested that the cheese on the sandwich be served on the side because she didn't like it melted onto her chicken. It was brought to her with the cheese melted onto the chicken. The waitress did offer to make her a new sandwich, but for the sake of time she opted to just scrape the cheese off and eat it plain. She took a few bites before deciding that the overly breaded and tasteless sandwich that remained was inedible. She described it as "Not being able to tell what she was eating." To Even Flow's credit, the sandwich was removed from our bill. Finally, I ordered the steak wrap, which would have probably been tasty if the "steak" hadn't actually been thin slices of what appeared to be overcooked Italian beef. I found the dry slices of meat to make my sandwich inedible as well. The sandwich went back, and it was thankfully removed from our bill as well. What really adds insult to injury about this place is that it is located on the corner of Main & 3rd St. in a historical building, which is a very desirable location in downtown Geneva. I mistakenly assumed that this place would live up to the standards set by the other nearby downtown Geneva restaurants. I look forward to this place hopefully being replaced someday with an establishment that deserves to be there. Downtown Geneva is brimming with delicious eateries, and I would urge anyone in the vicinity to eat at ANY other place before ever stepping foot in Even Flow. I'd suggest tiding yourself over at a gas station or a vending machine if need be while waiting for a spot at one of the many delicious restaurants nearby. read more

Enjoyed a mommy's night out with a girlfriend here. The food was delicious! The waitress talked up the baklava so we decided to try it out. Sadly, they ran out by the time we finished our dinner. Boo. The atmosphere is really nice and fitting with the rest of downtown Geneva. I believe there are three floors total and there was a fun crowd that night. First of all Even Flow was everything I hoped it to be and I'm only sad that I didn't have a baby sitter for my 11 year old because then I would have stayed all night long to enjoy the food, entertainment, and watching the crowd have fun. My family (husband, son, and myself) went there for a late dinner and to catch the opening of Sugar High band playing this Saturday night. We were so impressed by the menu that we could not hardly decide what to eat and so we had a few of the "small plates". Our final choice of "small plates" were: hand cut fries, jalapeno poppers, chicken over waffles, scallop corn dogs, cuban sliders, and chips with avocado. I loved everything except the scallops and even they were good its just that for tonight the flavor didn't go well with all the good spice and tastes I was already enjoying. If I had to choose my favorite it would be impossible but I can highly recommend the chicken with waffles and the cuban sliders. If I have a negative on the food, and this is a real stretch, it would be that the "small plates" are very small. So after our smalls my husband and I ended up sharing the BLT with a fried egg sandwich. Wow is this sandwich packed with many good flavors. The crisp down home white bread paired with brown sugar double crisp bacon, in season tomato, and incredible garlic salt fried egg with all the egg juice it is better than any egg sandwich I've ever enjoyed at home or in a restaurant. Now for the drinks.....we had the "Root Beer Beer" which is a beer that tastes exactly like root beer. The very statement doesn't capture how delicious the drink is when paired with the outstanding food. If it were not a special occasion I would have just had a basic drink but hey I'm celebrating 17 years of marriage so I say go for something that you don't have everyday. The music pre-band is lively yet with a low volume that allows great conversation. The band Sugar High was just so very fun we just sung aloud to every song as each song carried so many great life memories. The band was fun, fun, fun. Now for the service it was genuinely friendly and made the entire experience all the more enjoyable. My husband and I were obligated to take our son with us on the anniversary date and for this night-time atmosphere where kids are not the ideal client our waitress Lexi made my son feel included and welcome. I know this is a big deal because in spite of him being treated as an equal I'm sure kids aren't necessarily welcomed and definitely not targeted as a patron. In addition to our waitress Lexi our table was also visited by the Chef, the manager, and another staff person and every person made a point to shake my son's hand, ask him about the meal, and politely welcome all of us to the establishment. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend everyone to visit Even Flow. It's great for a date night, a celebration, or a basic no special occasion mid-week meal.
