I purchased a new pool heater online and had it installed by a third party technician. When I had concerns I called my regular pool company (in Burlington) they said they wouldn't service my equipment because I didn't buy it from them. (They were $2300 more than the online store). I called Everclear and they were out there the next morning. They checked the unit over and assured me everything was fine. They were knowledgeable, friendly and didn't even charge me for the service call. I will be using them from now on. read more

The BEST customer service!!! My sisters pool pump and filter broke and our dad was spontaneously available to instal today early morning. We called the business at 7am and the man who answered was so understanding and helpful answering all of our questions. Even though they open at 10 am and they were headed out to a job he offered to have us come right in for the filter. We had looked around the day before and knew that they are the only local business that carries this good quality name part in stock. We've been buying our chemicals from Everclear and getting top notch advice for years. This is the first time we've needed anything mechanical and this business is fantastic to work with! We first started visiting on the advice of the previous homeowner who used them to replace the pool liner and we've had no issues with the liner ever. Paid an arm and leg for service which wasn't much and they didn't offer any advice after we fixed the issues ourselves because they said couldn't do anything else. Went back to ask for more advice on how to fix the pool and they sound totally clueless!! Probably only one knowledgeable person who works there. They overcharge for parts and service/labor. Today was the second time I had visited this store during the pandemic. The first time I was there, the staff person was not wearing a mask. Today when I visited, again, the staff person was not wearing a mask. I asked him to put on a mask and he said that he did not have a mask. I told him that they have lost my business and that I would report the store to the Board of Health in Billerica, MA. I called and reported this to the Board of Health. They will issue a warning followed by a citation, if the store continues to have their staff NOT wearing masks. I will follow-up next week to see if the staff personnel are wearing masks. read more

Gave them many chances over two seasons. Getting help and support is like pulling teeth. They got kids working there and they tend to be clueless and rude. Every time I called or visited their location I got the feeling they don't want to be there and sure don't want to talk to me and answer my questions. They also have kids doing pool opens/closures that make mistakes all the time. This summer they opened my pool did not install the stair weights correctly and the weights fell of their brackets and into pool. These weights are full of sand and that is not good for an above ground pool with rubber liner. Getting them to come back to help me with this was impossible. Like I said never again. I went to ez-test pools in Reading. Professional adult staff in all aspects and will take the time talk to to you and answer all your questions. read more

Disappointed with the service of Everclear. I have thousands of dollars at this store and I guess they don't really service pools they take the covers off and skim. I had requested that they open my pool that had not been opened for a year and responded that they don't vacuum or clean the pool. I have now found a pool supplier that will do the whole job and I will spend my future money there. read more

I don't even want to give this company any stars I went to the store for a replacement liner in December of 2019 in order to be one of the first to get the job done and also have a surprise birthday party gave half down and explained what I expected it turned out to be a dam nightmare from 3,500 to a major reconstruction in which cost me about double on initial quote they talked me out of leaving the main drain I don't have it any more the padding was removed and not replaced the light kept tripping the breaker I've got nothing but excuses why no shows to do the job and finish it appears they had other more important jobs I'm pissed off still the pool liner is always falling off they come to fix it when Convenient for them they needed to come multiple times I was told by someone they would put a liner lock around the whole pool well that was a lie they put small pieces then I was told I had ant problem this is why the liner does not stay put and I will have to pay half up front before they even put the lock on and I will now be charged a service fee for any other problems with the liner I had major bypass surgery last year going thru this shit a had a problem with my credit card it the owner made me feel like I was trying not to pay I will never deal with this co again also made a terrible mistake on buying a filter from them had an earth filter now a have a cartridge that I do not like the work they do excuses after excuses if you lucky for some to get back to you bought a pool table from this place the cue tip came off day one he tells me that's the nature of the beast also purchased a safety cover I was talked into buy an oversized one to save money not realizing when I walk around the pool when closed the anchors are a trip hazard I have a lot more but you must get the stress of this review beware. read more

They installed a new liner in our above-ground pool in October 2018 (after the season ended). Paid almost $2,000 for the new liner. One section of the liner has come out and needs to be fixed. They want us to pay to have someone come out and fix it, but the pool was never used after the install was done in the fall. That means the install wasn't done correctly. They should come out and fix the problem based on the fact we paid for the new liner (not to mention all the other items we have purchased from their store over the years). Very disappointed. They should stand by their product and their work. read more

For the 4 years I lived in Billerica I went to everclear for all my pool needs with no problems. However, in May 2018 my pool was damaged by snow and ice. I contacted this company in hopes that they could repair it. After many attempts to get them to come out and even look at it, I finally had to travel back to MA, in August, and go see them in person. They set up a date and went to look at my pool. It took 3 phone calls for then to send the estimate, in the middle of Sept. I worked with my insurance and was ready to get a pool repair 2 weeks later. However, when I called back they said they could no longer repair the pool until spring time, essentially leaving my pool vulnerable to further winter damage. The piss poor customer service I received from this company was met by a non apologetic explanation that this usually never happens. read more

On Saturday December 8, 2018 Everclear Pool & Leisure wrote me an invoice for a Dream Maker Hot Tub. I called Everclear, on Wednesday December 12th spoke to the salesman (Mike) and told him I would be back on Saturday to purchase the tub. When I returned on December 15th (seven days later) to purchase the tub I was told there was an immediate price increase of $400! I asked Mike to please honor what was written on the invoice that was given to me a week ago. He said he would try and contact someone in the corporate office and would get back to me. I contacted Mike at Everclear two more times and each time he told me he was working on it and would call me. He never did. I gave up. Poor business practices. I get the feeling there was some reason they raised that price on me like that.... They didn't want to deliver to Roxbury, MA (the inner city), maybe it was not worth the effort to delivery and take away the old tub; so they increased the price? I was there ready to pay for the tub - but they wanted $400 more, why? read more

I have a mixed review - the people are nice BUT they do not stand by the merchandise that they sell. Bought a pool cover pump that I didn't even have for a entire season and it literally fell apart. I took a chance on this company even though there was no rating or reviews of Everclear because I immediately liked the Manager, Mike, I met as I entered Everclear this April looking for a pool. He suggested that I didn't buy the biggest above ground pool as I mentioned wanting a large one. He said though he could sell me one, certain sizes and shapes held up better for the long haul. I found a newer style pool that I wanted (Contempra) and began pricing them out. Mike gave me a sheet of pool costs & filter options, written down, with estimates of installation. I took it to the big N pool store and the *same* brand name pool, same size was exactly $5,100 more at NCo. Both prices included the pool only, no installation or filter. $3,400 vs $8,500. And, with Nco's double sale that week, it was *still* almost $2,000 less at Everclear! Seriously, I was stunned. So I bought my pool at Everclear, over the phone, as I am in Middleton and it's a 25 minute ride to their new location in Billerica, plus I was in Florida. Mike gave me some installers' numbers.We decided to use Pools By Us Plus because of their excellent customer service and how quickly they returned calls when often, no one calls back at all. Everclear and the installers worked together to get the pool up. Yes, there were some minor bumps along the way but Mike handled them professionally and quickly, even taking the time to go above and beyond what I'd expect from a local pool company. He was, and still is, available for me to call him with questions. He never seems put out by me and always knows the answer. This is their business, they are not seasonal help and know their trade. I am so happy that I stumbled upon them and have already recommended them to families in this town. I would definitely use them again and feel the 25 minute ride from my home is well worth the service I get and the great price I received. I hope this encourages some families to go in and use Everclear to get themselves a pool for the kiddies. Best wishes. read more
