NO SHOW/NO CUSTOMER SERVICE Do NOT Reccommend Sweetwater Pool Service. I would give them a ZERO if I could. I can safely say this was the Worst customer service experience Ever. I called Sweetwater late in late March 2023 to arrange for repair and service on my pool. I booked an appointment to have my pool serviced on June 14, 2023. (You have to book early or lose the season! Thats why the way they screwed me was hard. It was too late to get anyone else). On April 4 they sent me the The Confirmation email for my service for June 14. I re-confirmed in May, and again in emails in June. MORE than 3+ confirmations! The day of the appointment I re-arranged work to be home for most of the day, and coverage for an hour I had to be out. Nothing. NO SHOW. NO RESCHEDULE. At 7:30 pm I heard from a SW tech who said he was running very late, it was raining, and he preferred to come back when it was not raining and SW would re schedule my appointment. I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE AGAIN. When no one re scheduled I emailed the Account Manager Harry Carter that had booked my appointment and spoken to me in March about the work I needed. I emailed 2-3 more times and called AT LEAST 6+ times over the following month. NOT ONE CALL BACK. Then I was really stuck by July and UNABLE to find service for my pool, or make the weekly arrangements because everyone else was booked, which was why I started in March. I guess business must be great for them to treat customers so shabby. Put them on the 'DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME list' because they might not show up for you either and then its too late to get anyone else in. read more

This was the worst experience ever! After multiple calls and promises of taking on a new customer they could not stick to a date. I found another company that came and opened my pool. Sweetwater then sent a guy to my house with out any notice or contract! They billed me for the opening service!!! It was opened and they came on my property unannounced! Expensive and unreliable. We have a regular day setup with them, but they seem to show up whenever is convenient for them, and sometimes don't even do anything or leave a slip saying what's going on with the pool. Find someone else to service your pool. read more

We have used this company for three years and the service has steadily declined while the prices have steadily risen. Simply getting the pool clean has been a struggle - the most basic of all services. Last year and this year I have had to constantly take pictures of my dirty pool to document how badly the weekly service was done. Sweetwater has constantly tried to up-sell us on new equipment to solve issues but whenever we do upgrade our equipment the problem is rarely fixed. I am so disappointed and I guess I need to find a new pool company. read more

We found this company to be really not friendly. We will unfortunately take our business somewhere else. We went here to get our water tested (something pretty standard for pool supply companies). They helped us, but really came across annoyed and not welcoming. read more

We had a horrible experience with this company. We asked them to quote replacing our pool liner, which they did, and ultimatley we decided to go with another vendor. A couple months later I asked them to quote painting / refinishing our pool steps and spa and Steve was wholly unprofessional and unhelpful. His emails were rude and aggressive. He said they would not do just the painting because it was "complicated" when someone else is replacing the liner. When I asked for clarification on the complications, I got this extremely obnoxious email in return: First of all, we are very busy and we do not have the time for painting just a bench and steps. When we are onsite already dealing with the liner, it is not difficult to add it to the schedule. Second, unless we are doing the hole job, we don't know what we will necessarily show up to and what additional work will have to do because it was not the way we would expect it. Also, ii the people installing the liner do something wrong and put a scratch in it, who are you going to hold accountable? It is like too many cooks in the kitchen. Sorry. Finally found someone that was trustworthy and competent to service our in-ground pool, then we were informed that Sweetwater had bought Associated Pools in Woburn and they would provide service for us moving forward. My bill for a simple opening was nearly twice what we paid in the past and I'm fairly certain their techs broke our pump. Needless to say we are no longer using Sweetwater. read more

I called to ask if they relocate pools (Woburn office) and a woman with an English accent was extremely helpful, nice and polite. They did not offer the service I was looking for but did give me several names and numbers of other companies she thought might be able to help. Sweetwater pool service is worst company up there to deal with. They replaced my pool liner. New liner looks worst than old one I say it's really bad. STEVE the owner doesn't know anything about pools. Like people from other pool services told me" his not a pool guy" I should have listened to them. He has couple of young inexperienced guys working for him who destroyed the new liner by staircase and wrinkles and bumps all over the bodum of the pool. To fix it he wants me to sign a new contract and pay rest of the payment which is $1700. I already paid him $1925 deposit to finish the job but they never finished the job.He also gives you 2 years warranty "anything happens to the liner sweetwater will take care of it " Anyway it is ridiculous company who would never call you back even if yo call them and send them Email for 1000 times. Last thing you can do to get attention from Sweetwater you have to file a complaint in the Court. STAY AWAY FROM SWEETWATER THIS WORST COMPANY. read more

Sweetwater Pools came a few years back to replace my pool liner and cement ladder pads. Professional and efficient staff did quality work. After years of struggling to get the ladders in at the beginning of a season they now set up so easy. This year I opened up and noticed my pump leaking. Other companies talked about being too busy to ever get here to help. The folks at Sweetwater were responsive, every time I called, and worked with me to get here a day before they anticipated. This service used to be ok... However, over the (5) years we've noticed the following problems: -Staff turn-over is high: thus, each new tech has to re-learn our pool systems and habits which is annoying, and -Staff is new or careless: one year I suspect they broke the fins of the filter due to carelessness. Another year, they decided to replace the pool cover bolts because they didn't bother finding or asking for the old the ones... which were stored in the pool shed (an unwelcomed $300 expense). -Steadily increasing prices: it used to cost around high-$300s to open our pool. Now, for the last 3 years or so it seems the price for openings and closings just goes up by increments of $100; this year we paid $860 for a pool opening!!! Needless to say: with shoddy work, and exorbitant prices, we're going to look elsewhere. read more

I would like to thank Steven for the help he gave me via email over the Memorial Day Weekend. We opened our pool and water wouldn't come out of jets. Although he emailed me immediately he told me he wouldn't be able to come out until end of next week which I fully understand. However he did give me suggestions on what we could try. After trying his suggestions my husband saw that the O ring was missing from our pump. He was able to get the part and my pool is running perfect! Thank you for your quick response Steven and will definitely contact you when we need any pool service such as our liner, pump, etc. Also would like to comment on the negative review from Ruth. You don't ask a company to come out and give you an estimate for a big job then give another company to do it and then ask them to come out for a minor repair that is just plain ignorant. I have been using them for approximately 4 years. I initially used a local pool company, but soon moved to Sweetwater. They were, and have been, by far superior. They are incredibly responsive, they're great at what they do and have been unbelievably helpful to me, who is a fairly new pool owner trying to learn how to care for my pool myself. I have to give a shout out to Dana Faulkner, who has been my savior! She has spent so much of her time explaining and teaching me what to do and what to look for when certain problems have arose. One of the worst customer experience I had. We had sweetwater closed the pool last year. It costed more than any other competition. But we are hoping for a good service. This year there's significantly more air coming in to the pump and the pressure gets as low as 5 PSI. So I suspected there was a leak due to improper closing, and asked for a service visit. Then all the frustrations come. 1) at my first call, I was told that an appointment will be set up in a day or two. I waited and no call. I called back later and found out that they put us on the calendar without notifying us. 2) then I asked a time frame for when they will be here. (I only had a date but not a time. They said they didn't know and I have to call back that morning. So I called, and they said they don't know and they will call me when they come. I said I want to be on-site, so I need a time frame. Then we hear cricket. The next thing we found is a piece of paper saying they've cleaned the skimmer basket. 3) I called back and said that wasn't the issue I asked for. Can I talk to the person who serviced it. Same as before, I was promised a call back but it never happened. Guess what, the next thing we got is a $140 bill. Don't get me wrong, no work should be unpaid. However, I don't know if this is acceptable to other people and certainly I'd struggle to call this good service. read more

Wow not only did I received unprofessionalism and horrible quality of work from this company I have now received a bill with a $25 additional fee put on it because I've not paid it when I told them from the beginning I will not pay for a job I am unsatisfied with until they come do the job properly he told me he refused to come out to do it again for the third time! I told him two times he's company did not do a professional job and that the rock and everything they tried to fix was falling apart after his employees give us directions to follow. I tried explaining this to him but he did not even care instead he was rude and disrespectful! now to throw an additional $25 fee to a bill that I already told him I was not going to pay after he was unprofessional with his quality of work and his customer service was not professional done and I was unsatisfied with there work on my pool! I guess I will be taking him to small claims court if he does not leave us alone. All of my pictures were an hour after I followed his employees directions Time stamped and dated after they gave us the uneducated information of putting water on the steps that is when their work fell apart and The owner did not want to except that. The Owner consistently blames my family for not following his companies directions but we did! We have been for 10 years. My family is on vacation in the Boston area. We have a toddler who loves the water, and the main attraction for our hotel is the indoor pool. Once we were all dressed in our bathing suits, we realized that we forgot her bubble at home, which made for an epic meltdown. I scrambled to try to find someplace in the area that would sell us a bubble in the off-season. After multiple phone calls, Sweetwater Pools was recommended to me as a place to try. I called, gave my sob story, and the owner told me to come right over. I didn't even realize until I got there that the store had been closed for over two hours. The owner let me right in, and showed me the different options I could choose from. After choosing, I tried to pay him for the bubble, but he refused my money and just said, "Happy holidays. I hope your daughter enjoys the pool." I wish we lived closer so we could give this wonderful company more of our business! read more

My prior pool company merged with this company and after many many years with my prior company I cannot deal with this new company. They are nasty and aggressive when you question anything and they jacked prices so high without any notice, even though they knew all winter about their merger they never notified the regular customers of the huge pricing increase until after they opened the pool. My prior company Associated Pool was wonderful honest meticulous and reasonably priced. I loved them and never had any issues in the 25 plus years I had them. Now new company Sweetwater have only had pool opened and that was enough for me! The other person who reviewed them also was an Associated Pool customer is well was totally correct. I don't know about others experience with Steve the owner, but I can tell you mine was not pleasant as I found him to be quite unprofessional. After booking them for a first pool opening, he sends inexperienced guys who were not informed my pool is only 4' deep. His guys pushed down hard with their cleaning tools and unknowingly ripped my liner with a huge gash. In 3 days, my pool, of 10,000+ gallons of water, was almost drained, unknown to me at the time why. When I called Steve frantically, and asking why no one has come back to monitor, as I was told they would, he was not very helpful, but annoyed with my call. (Guys were to come daily to monitor the chemicals, status, etc.) He sent out a couple of employees to come check it out, and they pretended to not notice the huge gash that I pointed to. Now, the argument from Steve was that my liner was old anyway and this was bound to happen. REALLY?? Old or not, my liner was still intact! HIS INEXPERIENCED HELPERS RIPPED IT! After his trying to justify with his rude and insulting argument, he agreed to pay half for the replacement of the liner THEY damaged. The damage does not stop there. Due to the 10,000+ gallons of water seeped into the gravel/soil underneath my pooldeck, ALL MY POOLDECK PAVERS SHIFTED AND SEPARATED, causing a major repaving project which cost us over $8,000.00 to fix! We did not pursue any settlement with them due to our prior riff about the liner. But when we tried to ask for consideration in their hefty priced pool closing cost, STEVE ARGUED WITH US AGAIN TO NOT GIVE US ANY DISCOUNT WHATSOEVER on the pool closing cost! (They had to put in new anchors to the new pavers we had to replace) Talk about unprofessional and discourteous mannerisms, he was very arrogant, rude and unaccomodating after all the trouble his company caused. Instead of taking responsibility of his employees lack of experience and misconduct, he kept arguing with us trying to weasel his way out. Clearly common sense dictates he should have taken responsibilty for both the liner and pavers. If his employees were properly trained, this would not have happened. Take some lessons on customer satisfaction and professionalism, Steve. A bit of giving and understanding goes a long way, You may get more return customers! Do yourself a favor and run from This company. I can post almost the exact same Photos as the last commenter. They installed a new liner and as the last guy said it looked Worse than the 20 yr liner that was there. The owner knows NOTHING about pools. When you hear he's not a pool guy believe it. He knows nothing and depends on his assistant manager who knows even less. The kid who they sent to install the liner had even less experience. What a cluster @@@ and I got absolutely nowhere with these idiots . I could post my videos but hopefully this is enough to discourage anyone from even thinking of using them. Oh and forget about small claims court. This guy knows his way around the system as he has used it multiple times. That should speak volumes of the kind of service he offers. The day I went to court there were three other customers he was taking to court. Do yourself a favor and go with anyone except this incompetent company. I started using Sweetwater after having a bad experience with my last pool company. These people are amazing! It is so hard to find a pool company that is knowledgeable and pleasant. If I have a question I call their office and someone always answers the phone. I know most the guys/gals by first name and feel totally comfortable letting them go to my property when I'm not around. We had to get a new liner last year and the Renovation team is amazing, they even gave me their cellphone to call and schedule the work. I am so glad my neighbors told me about Sweetwater Pools because they put so much work into making me comfortable and happy with my pool. No one told me having a pool was going to be so much work, but now that I use Sweetwater Pool Service it has become hassle free! read more
