We are extremely pleased with the team that worked so carefully to install a new liner in our nearly 50 year old pool. I can't say enough good things about the crew. They were neat and careful during the whole operation. They had to do some repairs and they worked hard to please me. They return the next day and cleaned everything away and winterized the pool. I contacted Watercraft in April. Joe McDonald and his girlfriend Christi came to my home and he gave his sales pitch. He told me that due to Covid and all the supply chain issues that they pre-purchased pools so they'd have stock. I ordered what was supposed to be an in stock pool. I also wanted decking and as Joe said since most customers do, they have a decking company that does them. In comes Sal. Joel Salvatore of Baystate Exteriors came to my home the next day. We talked the job and agreed to a price. This was Friday April 22,2022 I gave Sal a check for $5,000. Joel C Salvatore is the Principal Agent for Watercraft Pools and Baystate Exterior. He told me that installation would be end of May/ first week of June. Of course delay can happen but you will have a pool by the 4th of July. I also ordered in stock decking. The payment agreed upon was an installation at pool delivery, another after it was up but before decking was done and then final payment upon completion which was pool, stairs from upper deck down to lower extended deck that they were adding on and that deck would be flush to the pool. It sounded beautiful and it wasn't a cheap quote. Joel said it would take a week to complete. So payment would be dispersed over the week. Since that day no work has ever been done. It's the end of August, 4 months ( 120 days ) All I received for my money has been excuse after excuse. In June I was told the decking was in, Sal said he saw it before going on vacation. Joe told me in June that the in stock pool was being delivered from their warehouse and he had tracking number which when I asked for it he never gave it. Then it was the liner, then they couldn't do it because they were waiting on a filter. A filter? He went off on a rant about water delivery. I wasn't using delivery but that still somehow contributed to my delays. When I mentioned our agreement and that if they couldn't meet it, Joe said hold on, we're close. Then he said July 6. July they just didn't respond. I was stuck. August came and when I mentioned speaking to a lawyer then came that they were working on permit. Weeks go by, I contact the BBB and SolveIt 7. When I told them I was taking action against them and left a bad review on another of Joel's company's ( he's going to prey on Florida soon) and the action above, suddenly I get a call from Jessika McDonald who I believe is Joe's ex. Now they want money on pool delivery which was ok but then another payment before dig or any work done. They're blaming supply chain for the delay but I ordered a pool they told me they already had? I said no because I didn't have any date as to when work would be done. I'm be learned the business has closed, phone, website and FB page are gone. I feel that I'd be handing over 10's of thousands to them only to be stuck in the same situation but they have more of my money. I've found other victims of this business that have been left as well. I am now pursuing refund with them. The BBB case is 17697774 I'll probably have to take legal action and if channel 7 news will help. They actually responded because I have detailed documentation on the principles of these companies and the wake of victims they leave. These people keep changing their business names every few years after they lose their licenses and/ or accreditation. They get sued over and over. Do not waste your money, time and energy with these unprofessional people 1. Do not get the job done: Started work on April 2021 and did not get it done by the end of September, I needed to call a different contractor to complete it 2. Inepts: The pool collapsed after the first filling with water; also, had to call somebody else to re-install the pump and filter. All extra expenses out of my pocket of course 3. Unresponsive: need to chase them to come to work to just hear the same cliché over and over again: 'we are working on the schedule' 4. the only way to get them to come look at my heater was to say it might need replacement . once they found it only needed a small repair ($700 part is small) they put me off for 3 months. I would call and they said they were busy, couldn't take my calls, kept leaving messages. 2-3 times a week, some weeks I called every day. I hired this company in mid-April to open my pool in mid-June. They twice canceled on me, the day of the intended service, and had to be badgered into providing end of day service 2 weeks after my initial appointment. Then, at the appointment, they charged me $200 for chemicals outside of their standard "pool opening" package with the caveat that they could not complete their opening of the pool (i.e. vacuuming/cleaning the pool) until the water had sufficiently cleared to see the bottom. I agreed the chemicals were a good idea and Joe promised that a follow-up visit could be scheduling by calling the company in a few days and would be provided free of charge. His crew then left after adding the chemicals, leaving empty bottles strewn on my lawn and the pool cover unwrapped by the poolside (without indicating their intention to do so). I have called his company and left three voice mails, starting July 1st through July 7th and have not yet heard a reply or living response as to when they would be finishing the job-- my pool is still a mess and I probably need to hire someone else to finish the job, after having paid Joe in full. This feels like a "fly-by-night" operation, at least from May 2019 and onward. And please disregard any glowing reviews you see-- isn't it funny how such a nice job could have been done , while they refuse to return my calls or finish the work? read more

Contacted them for an opening and leak detection. They didn't show up with the leak equipment and said they had to reschedule 2 weeks later. Then, no one shows up at my house, and if I call them they say the scheduling person isn't in and cannot tell me a new date. When I call back asking for the owner, they transfer me to him, only for him to scream "FIND ANOTHER COMPANY" in my face and hang up. Horrible people. Do not recommend. read more

They've filed bankruptcy and we're out $1500 for a pool liner never delivered. Never returned phone calls, emails, etc.

12/6/19 and still waiting for refund I was awarded by small claims due by 11/29. I received $500 on 11/30 of the now almost $2,800 awarded. I booked in February 2019 and had to cancel for medical reasons March 2019. Prior to signing anything Joe assured me if I had to cancel and did so before they ordered the replacement liner I would receive a full refund. I was initially promised a refund in full by the end of April, only after Joe tried to tell me I had to wait 60-90 days for a refund less a $250 admin fee. I then went to the BBB. He told them he would refund $1,000 by the end of June, $1,000 the end of July and keep $450 admin fee. Joe is holding me responsible for losing accreditation with BBB after he did not pay as promised or respond to BBB request for mediation. He did not show for the initial Small Claims court date in Oct. Joe filed a motion to remove decision, showed up for 2nd hearing and magistrate again found in my favor, now including interest. I now have to go back to Small Claims court 12/9 for payment review. read more

I would caution anyone thinking of using this company to stay far far away. The communication and follow through with this company is the worst I have ever experienced. We reached out regarding leaks. as well as questions about running the pool and to let them know it is not level at all and there has been no return call or communication going on 3 weeks now. We were promised accessories with the pool we bought, and we're told they were in and would be dropped off by the owners wife Jessica and as of 3 weeks later no accessories or follow up. Honestly, I cannot communicate enough how terrible the whole experience was and if I could go back would definitely have gone with another company. He had assured us pulled the permit for install as our town requires. After install complete we called for inspection and they town said they could not as the permit was never pulled by watercraft. Luckily the town understood it was not our fault and worked with us to ensure pool installed legally per our towns guidelines. Joe McDonald is not an honest business owner and I would definitely say at this point we got played - lesson learned.. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We were promised a fully functioning pool that we could swim in by the first week of June, it is now the last week of July and NO ONE IS SWIMMING. Joe and his partner came out and talked a BIG game of how they have 55 liners to choose from - whoops - they don't - you have to take the in stock one. Joe will tell you that they will give you "pool school" to teach you how to run your pool - nope - they come and dump some salt in and say good luck. Joe will tell you that all pools come with ladders, lights, fountains etc. Nope - never got those. You will spend months trying to call Water Craft to schedule the install of your pool. Then, once it is installed (sometimes as late as 10:30 at night without warning), you will spend thousands more dollars on your pool trying to get it to work while the people at Water Craft don't answer your questions. Don't waste your time cause the only thing they're good at is wasting yours! Made an appointment way in advance (late March) to have the pool opened mid May. They called to postpone/reschedule due to threatened thunderstorms - then... nothing. No show. No call. No explanation. No apology. No way to contact them after they missed their selected/rescheduled 5PM appt. Next morning, Workers allege that they have no way to contact crews during 9-5 working hours - or just don't care enough to call crew for info/update. Didn't return my call and when I made contact, they had no explanation and didn't even bother to apologize. Horrible. Move on. Spare yourself the aggravation. read more

Beyond disappointed. Back in April we booked an appt for June. On the day of the appt they called to cancel because of a death in the family. Unfortunately things happen in life so although we were disappointed because of the beautiful weekend ahead we rescheduled for almost a week later. I told the woman on the phone I was taking the night off work so please call if anything changes. Needless to say the new appt time came and went. I called and the office was closed. I think what was even more frustrating was when I called the next morning the gentleman (I say gentleman loosely) that answered wasn't even remotely apologetic. He said they had issues with other jobs and couldn't get to me and they are really busy because of the rain. My argument was then why not just call? He was clearly frustrated with his issues there but don't take it out on the customer. Own the mistake..apologize and rectify it. When I asked what kind of customer service that was he told me if I have that type of high standards then they aren't the company for me. I didn't realize expecting them to show when they say they will or dare I say a phone call to cancel was asking to much. After some not so nice words from me I hung up on him. They are definitely not the company for me. I wish I read their reviews months ago! I had a pool opening scheduled for Friday at 9am. They called that morning to say a piece of equipment was broken and they wouldn't arrive until the afternoon. I asked them to arrive around 1:30pm. They said okay. When no one showed by 2:30pm, I called and left a voicemail. Never got a return call and no one ever showed up at my house. read more

Called to get a quote on a replacement pool liner. She scheduled someone to come out & look at the pool. No one ever showed, and when I called to see what might of happened, the same woman who took my call and allegedly booked the appointment had no recollection of my call & told me she had nothing on the schedule. She had a very distinct voice, so I knew right away I was talking to the same person. No explanation, no apologies, just....nothing. She didn't offer to reschedule & never asked me my name to see if maybe I was had been scheduled for another day by accident. Luckily I'm not working due to Covid currently, otherwise I would of been taking part of the day off without pay to meet them & it would of been a complete waste of my time (and a loss of income.) I should of trusted the other reviews instead of giving them a shot, because evidently they were accurate... Joe and his team did a great job opening my pool this past May. Prior to the opening, he was sure to answer all of my questions. On the day of the opening, his team was prompt and thorough. They cleaned the pool deck, deodorized the cover, installed the ladders and filtration equipment, and treated the water. HAD them repace my liner with a new coping joe gave me an estimate for little over 10,000 i should have looked up his reviews but being the trusted person i am i took him on his word. he talks a good game so i signed a contract he promised me he had my back. he made all sorts of promises from that point on i found his word was no good. his no show/ no calls appts started immediately and the chase was on he promised the work would be completed in time for the season as I signed early, needless to sayJoe as you know I 'v been trying to reach you about a serious leak in my pool, after spending that kind of money on my pool, I would think you could give a call back.We had an appointment On August 31st at 10 am as we waited most of the day, we had a No show, No call. I had told your wife how important the appointment was to me as I wanted to put the pool away, but wanted you to see where the liner was failing. I called continuous, on both your mobile phone and your office phone with no answer or no call back Finally Joe, you called me back on Sept 8th we spoke and I explained Where the leak was and what condition I found on the bottom of the pool Under the white spots, which was an indentation about the size of a half baseball. You asked me weather the indentation was upward or downward.. You then went on to say that you may have trapped a rodent or rodents under the liner. You said you were on vacation and would call me back on Tues Sept 10th. You said you would have to rent scuba gear as you had two other pools that had leak issues, that you didn't own scuba equipment as it was too expensive to maintain, therefore you had to rent it, still no call back. I continued to call and text you, after sending a text I again got an answer on text sept 17th from your wife, she told me you had surgery and she would give you the message when you got back in the office the next day, still today the 21st no call back and no answers. Since, the pool was just completed on June 24, 2019, I've been having these problems with a complete communication breakdown. I'm concerned with how much the water level is dropping now, and how much the water level will drop off season, and what kind of damage could result, I still need your imput as to what action is needed now. Needless to say I am starting too lose my patience. no no ans no call back finnaly sept 8th he said was on vac made another appt oct 15 again no show no call the chase is on he does not answer at office or mobile my warranty is useless after spending 11.000.00 I have a pool that drops a foot of water in 2 weeks. I had a pool opening scheduled for a Saturday. I called 2 days before to confirm the appointment and the person confirmed that they would be there at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Well Saturday came and no one showed up. I waited all day for the person to show up. When I emailed the office to complain they told me that they tried calling me which was not true because I was home all day and if the phone rang I would of answered it. I gave up a beautiful Saturday for nothing. The guy that answered my email could not careless that anyone showed up. I would not recommend this company.
