When Fred Bedford arrived to tell me about his company, I was probably the most skeptical person EVER! We had been battling a significant water problem for over 40 years and I didn't believe that the water problem could be solved. I didn't want to invest a large amount of money to be disappointed and still be fighting a wet basement. Fred spend lots of time with me that day a year ago helping me understand the system they would be installing and trying to put my fears at ease. I wanted so desperately to have the water problem "fixed" but I sincerely didn't believe it would happen. I told the guys that I would not fill it out because I had to make sure that it was going to work...that I would have a dry basement. I started writing the letter 2 weeks ago because I can 't believe that a year has gone by and I have a dry basement! Still!!! I have called twice for two different minor problems and Everdry responded immediately. Just this last weekend, my family painted the walls and floor of our full basement so we can use it as additional space. It was worthless space before because it was wet all the time. It took a full year for me to attempt to paint because I was so skeptical that the dryness would last. We are so excited to actually be able to use the basement and feel good about it. If I could rate NEGATIVE stars I would for the EVERDRY OF MICHIANA located in South Bend, IN. The only thing that's been consistent or "EVER" with this company is their lies. They should be called EverLIES!!!!!! They completely botched a job at my folks residence and now refuse to rectify or take an accountability to resolve the issue. Every "manager" you speak to there does nothing whatsoever and do not even have the courtesy or decency to give you a call back. They had flooding happen AGAIN (due to a job that was never done correctly in the first place) on July 28th 2019 and till this day have not sent anyone out to temporarily dehumidify or plug in fans out their basement to prevent any other damage and mold from spreading because according to their manager Michelle, and I quote: "We do not cover damages." In other words, they are not going to honor this so-called "warranty," if that's what you want to even call it. They told me that the next available appt will be on the 21st!!!!! THAT IS ALMOST A MONTH LATER AFTER WE CALLED TO LET THEM KNOW THEIR BASEMENT IS FLOODED WHICH IS COMPLETELY ASININE AND ABSURD. It is very obvious that they themselves know they have messed up royally. What is frustrating is the manner in which they have chosen to try and resolve this; which is by completely distancing themselves, refusing to take our calls and call us back. They really think this is all over on their end and they could not be more mistaken. Folks....I hate to warn you but if you have any major and similar issues you are going to have to contact an attorney like we are and make your Better Business Bureau claim to handle this yourself as they will not work with you if you are in a similar boat. My folks are hardworking people getting ready to retire. They planned on selling their home later this year and now it looks like that will have to be delayed......but that's ok. Luckily, my folks have documented EVERYTHING and we will be coming back to collect damages. KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN consumers and if I were you, I would save yourself a headache and go with another reputable, honest, and professional company right from the start.....or at least not this particular location. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And whatever ADMIN is responsible for reading reviews and comments for EVERDRY....save yourself the trouble and do not worry about responding and giving me a half ass excuse as too how sorry you are that we are going through this and for us to contact your office to speak to someone, blah blah blah.. ....because that'll all BS. On May 23rd and 24th, 2016 an EverDry crew arrived to perform work in my basement and along exterior walls. The crew was on time, or slightly early, based on the promised arrangements. The work to be performed in the basement included breaking concrete to install drain tile, connect it to an existing sump hole, install a new sump pump, and install three beams to insure that the wall would not buckle. The work to be performed outdoors included digging around two exterior walls, waterproofing the walls, and installing tile that would drain water to a low point on my property. The basement crew taped plastic film over all possessions in that room. Admittedly we were expecting that more dust would be created and that it would find its way to the upstairs living area. Because of the crews' efforts, none did. This REALLY pleased my significant other. Throughout the work, I found the crew to be hard-working, professional, and respectful of my personal property. There was no damage to cabinets, floors, doors or windows, and there were no personal items that "got lost". We were quoted two days of work, but the crew was done by noon of the second day (11 to 12 hours total). I researched other basement waterproofing companies and received quotes from several of them. Although EverDry was not the cheapest, I feel they were providing the best value for the dollars spent, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to use them. Here's a tip that may make your experience even better: Be mindful of where the crew will place the many heavy materials used in the process, particularly if it must be placed on your lawn, as you don't want a burnt-out area of grass as a result. EveryDry had us sold by their guarantee and the fact that they not only worked on the inside of our basement, but also around the entire house, ensuring that NO water would come inside. We had a couple of representatives talk to us and one of them was not the friendliest, but for us it came down to what exactly the company was offering and what we needed as a family for peace of mind. The work crew came in on the COLDEST week of the season thus far and in 0 degrees temperatures outside still were able to dig and seal our foundation. They worked hard and all of the workers were very polite, smiling every time my three year old son would say hi to them. Upon completion we found a few things that needed re-sealing outside and some work around our fireplace needed to be re-done, but they came back and addressed those issues in LESS than a week. We are very pleased with the sound of the sump pump, our last one was very loud and look forward to refinishing our basement so that we can use it as a family room. Although EverDry was the most expensive quote, we truly have peace of mind knowing that we are keeping the water OUT of our home instead of just managing the water as it comes in our home as many of the other companies out there offer. We were assured that if we find any more issues that were not addressed to our satisfaction, that they would come and rectify what needed to be done. Bought a bilevel last year. The lower level was never finished due to leakage , evidently starting while this 40+ year old house was young. Wanting to double our square footage, we knew drying up this basement was long overdue. The problem was leakage at our footings. Ever-dry has a superior system, digging deeper down to the bottom of the footing, as opposed to other companies, where they only dig a few inches, essentially only catching the water at floor level. Everdry's superior system also relieves hydrostatic pressure on our entire floor, so now we will be warrantied for life on the whole floor, not just the outer floor wall perimeter, like other companies we looked into. The sump pit is located exactly where i asked, and even the pump is virtually silent as an added bonus. The workers were very kind and they cleaned up nicely. I was worried about the dust from concrete and all my items were covered and they swept up daily. Oh, and NO more water! The musty smell seems to have gone away after just a couple months now due to their EZ Breath, which i highly suggest. While we were unfortunate in that we needed to use EverDry's service (so much flooding in our area!), we couldn't have gotten a better company to do the work. The guys who came out were respectful, knowledgeable, patient (and we tested that with our many questions), and hard workers. They came only days after our flooding and in freezing temperatures (yep, we went from melting to freezing in a few days, ah the Midwest). When we noticed a little dampness on our cellar wall a couple months later, they came back out and tweaked their work to make it even more effective...free of charge! Our only complaint was the salesman at the beginning. His many sales techniques were obvious, obnoxious, and solicited fear. After speaking with others who had used EverDry, they had been told the very same things we were, but the sales rep lead us to believe that ours were special circumstances. Thankfully, we had a very clear budget and couldn't be too taken in by his tactics. I'm still giving this company five stars because we were able to see past the sales part and have greatly benefited from the work done. Overall, they did a great job. They completed the work in two days (one day inside and one day outside). They also cleaned up well. They were courteous and polite and answered questions I had as they worked. They took pictures (as did we) and sent them to us. They did a lot of work on our basement floor (filled in a huge hole under the floor), filled in other smaller holes, and they moved the location of our sump pump to a better spot in the basement. They really did do a ton of work down there. There were two things though that needed improvement which is why I knocked it down one star. One- there was an area around one of our basement windows that leaked after having a bad downpour a few days after they completed the job. We had to call them back out to fix it... which they did.. .and it has been fine since. Two- my husband felt they could have patched more spots on our basement walls. We have terracotta block with lots of seams and lots of spots that were cracked/"open"). Overall, we were happy with the work and would have them do it again if ever needed in a future house. S. I employed the services of Everdry Waterproofing about 20 years ago & have been a happy camper with a dry basement ever since. My basement would flood every time we had a heavy rain. Earlier this year I purchased a home that had quite a lot of remodeling done in the past few years, including Everdry installing their basement and foundation waterproofing system. As the new owner, I didn't know the details of the system installed, but I needed a service call for the sump pump. I was extremely pleased with the courtesy and level of service I received when I called their office. A service technician arrived within a few hours. The salesman that did our inspection explained in detail the problem, the work that needed to be done and the cost without ever being pushy about signing a contract. The crew that came to do the actual work was courteous and professional and the hardest workers I have ever experienced. The job that was suppose to take two full days was completed in a day and a half. And this was no easy job as we do not have full basement but only a 4' crawl space. So they had to work in cramped space and haul every bit of old cement and soil up a ladder in 5 gallon buckets and drain tile and cement down the very same way. We had Everdry come out because our old stone foundation was weeping every time it rained and we were worried about its stability. The initial evaluation was good and our options were presented to us. We decided to go ahead and have the work done and we are very pleased with the results. With the EZ-breathe system we have noticed fewer allergy problems from dust and with no water weeping in through the stones we haven't had any mold.
